Thank you Dr. Hussain for sharing your experience. It is invaluable for us that are at the start of pancreas cancer treatment. Your experience helps provide some impression about what treatment and recovery will be like.

I’ve been on max dose of enzymes since I started chemo.. That dose was based on my stool makeup as I wasn’t losing a lot of weight. Only recently did I question it so have pulled back my dosing. Interesting to hear that Dr. Hussein determines his dosing based on fat load of his meals. My stools are still problematic but now will increase/ decrease based on how much fat I determine to be in my meals. Looks like a lifelong challenge to get it right as annoying and uncomfortable stool makeup can be.

@ Unfortunately my cancer had spread before I got a correct diagnosis after 7 months of tests.so I’m not eligible now for surgery . I had symptoms over 2 years ago with sudden pre diabetes showing in my bloods but my gp did nothing other than repeat blood samples every 6 months. Had I known myself it was a precursor to Pancreatic cancer I would have insisted on pet scans etc,Just palliative chemo pillsnow . It was another GP I saw who triaged m for tests. Not much faith now with my Dr. I wish you all the best with your surgery . Stay strong and fight.
