My favorite was turning it off after 8 minutes. Horrible writing/narration. The narrator's lines took away from the beautiful videography and made it impossible to continue to watch it. You should fire whoever approved that trash.
My great grandparents had every single hard copy of national geographic int their lifetime and i used to spend hours going through the floor-to-head stacks. They wouldve absolutely loved having a NatGeo youtube channel to watch if they were still here. Rest easy gramma and grampa T💜
When upstate ppl move down to Florida and they say “the animals walk around like they own the place” because they DO own the place.. respect and protect the wildlife!!!
Lived in Boston, Massachusetts my whole life, but moved to Florida 5 years ago to live in a warmer climate. I know we're considered the Australia of the US, lol but these animals really don't encroach on human habitats very often. I've NEVER seen an alligator walking down a street lol
Yeah I've lived in Florida for years and have never seen a gator aside from in swampy preserves. It seems to depend on where you live. It's mostly high and dry in my area.
@@animeislife337it’s not as bad as it looks. I’ve been here for almost 5 years. Just recently saw my first snake. Went to Gatorramma to see live alligators. But they tell me down in the Everglades the pythons are challenging the gators.
As a Louisiana person it's totally not fair that Florida randomly has a stretch of beautiful crystal clear swamps. That said if I lived nearby a beautiful piece of water like that I would go swimming in it too much and might end up getting bit by a gator
You're right and there's even alligators within boundaries such as Disney Port Canaveral Kennedy space center anywhere there's water there's going to be Gators in the state of Florida
I'm 34 years old, born and raised in Florida. Located in Northeast Florida about 30 miles West of Jacksonville is a place called Baker County and the main town within is my hometown of Macclenny, Florida. I remember back in the early 2000's when we had the infamous "Killer Kangaroo" on the loose, one time in the early 1990's a guy was out hunting deer and unexpectedly shot & killed a Gazelle, my uncle just a year ago was fishing and caught a Catfish that burped up a severed foot of a Squirrel it had eaten. There was the time where all these dogs which belonged to local hunters kept going missing near this small lake and one day an 11 Foot Alligator was caught & killed and the Gators stomach contained 8 Dog collars. That is just a few of the many other stories i can tell ya of the wildlife here.
The plan was to completely drain the Everglades and develop it. There was a second international airport planned right in the middle of the Everglades. Eventually the Everglades was declared a national preserve, and development stopped at a certain point. Which is why there’s homes right up to the Everglades. They built the airstrip in the Everglades, but only use it as a training center. I used to take my friends out there and pull up to the airstrips. It’s surrounded by a fence and no trespassing signs. My friends would freak out thinking we had stumbled upon a secret military base hidden in the Everglades.😂
This is a good documentary but not completely accurate. I live here and the Burmese Python has taken over the Everglades and is just as much as a top predator as a gator.
True, but they are trying hard to erratic them. I'd questioned a while back about nature videos filming them and NOT killing them, pythons, not gators. The answer i got was they are required to, after filming. I need proof
You can't. Many nature documentaries do just that along with using stock footage and CGI. Getting choice footage of animals in the wild is incredibly difficult and expensive.
I was forced to watch this because my mom wanted me to watch something “ educational “ but little does she know that , we live in Florida and I already know this stuff
I like Swamp People and Swamp People: Serpent Invasion and I think the Burmese Python's are gonna give the gators a run for their money on top predator :D
I love animals and my favorite one is the lion because people say it is the king of the jungle and also my name is spelled with forwarders. It says that L
Good documentary but I thought we would see more of Florida apex predators like bears, panthers , coyotes, pythons , bobcats and crocodiles. Also more snakes then just the cotton mouth.
Nat geo be just throwing clips of animals together the wild hog clips were terrible. The last clip you can see where they clearly cut the skin of the hog. That’s far as I got so far, debating if I wanna finish.
You mean in the documentary or here in the comments? If you are talking about the documentary, the next episode is about the American Crocodile, the episode is called Croc Coast
There's a lot of wildlife in this episode! Which was your favorite?
no Python????????
Tha gators of course.. and amphibians.
Every bit of it!
My favorite was turning it off after 8 minutes. Horrible writing/narration. The narrator's lines took away from the beautiful videography and made it impossible to continue to watch it. You should fire whoever approved that trash.
all are interesting to watch, i am wondered how this visuals are filmed by camera mans 😲😲 good job

the babies make such cute sounds! 😩
I'm born and raised love to see this content
Nat Geo Wild makes the best films and docs there are.. always enjoyable and educational.
agree with you totally!
28:52...wow that boar leg looks really super precisely cut clean like it was cut with a saw and handed to the gator.
Also 41:52 deer carcas placed at river bed for gator to "kill"
They set up the poor frog for the bass to snap too 😂
Then y isn’t everything leveled and even 🤦🏾♂️ with flesh hanging 🤦🏾♂️ 🤦🏾♂️
- You forgot to mention Florida's people are just as nuts. 😊
I’d love to see how they’re able to get such close shots of the gators. Such great videography!!
it's very easy to get footage of gators. also zoom functions exist
telephoto & video lenses that cost thousands of dollars
The bulk of these are not from the wild
Selfie stick, Gopro
This is created using software…doesn’t look real
Here to see what to spect about GTA VI wild life 😂
Same 😂
That was great!!!!!..my favorite is all of it..ty nat geo
Interesting show on Florida :)
This was very entertaining. Thank you
The bigger the gator, the bigger the attitude. I've seen it and respect it. That big boy has earned it!
i love videos like this it's so cool and helps me sleep i hope you get 800M subs !!

The very best nature film of Florida’s gator and wildlife. Loved it! Thank you👍❤️🇺🇸
Great doc!..excellent camera skills
Great video/content. The narrator was awesome.
The water dance is amazing!

That's because you are getting all of the runoff from Texas 🤧
Once you see florida as the Grynch's head upsidedown
You cannot unsee it
excellent show. I learned something new. A fish eating a frog and a baby alligator!
Cool👍

Yeah, it's a beautiful place but you'd best be aware
Excellent video 😊
it's crazy that the literal everglades are right across the street from just some neighborhood.
It’s really not it’s a long drive out to a vast area of protected wet/marshlands. There surely aren’t any houses nearby lol
Yea..This Ws Before Reticulated Pythons ...

Awesome doc ❤️ color etc is perfect
Great documentary. Wish it was longer

Poor thing! 😱

@Remadi Lever Right, it was kinda hard to watch but I couldn't stop looking 😳😞

Facts, we need to get rid of the pythons, and we need to get rid of the iguanas too
Might as well call them Everglade pythons now since they've become much bigger than your average Burmese python
@@qbangrl i totally forgot about the lion fish... they are tasty though 🤷♂️
More people need to hunt and fish for their food in Florida. I’m sure all those animals are tasty down there, especially then iguanas!!
It was.all GREAT ty and God bless
The best video… terima kasih video ini, sangat menarik dan banyak hal dapat dipelajari… thnks..
Apa kabar. Aku akan kembali Indonesia 🇮🇩
SHE WILL TAKE IT BACK
Someday... 🥳😭
Cool they put a go pro on the gator that got that wild boar.
We got scorpions, anacondas, gators, panthers, monkies, and lots and lots more. Were now missing kangaroos 🦘 and koala 🐨 bears
We do not have anaconda. We have Python.
If you look closely, 17:15, that duck is trying to eat a small alligator.
Cant imagine starttout like a tiny gator, then paying your dues and you become the king of the swamp,
Watching this cause I'm going there next year lol want to know what I can encounter
which is the tune on 7:52 ?
Cheetahs 💥💯👍🤣
Seriously don't be fooled by the Bull Frog. Had one chase me and try to take me down once lol.
Floridian here. I often say it is like living in jurassic park. You must be careful here. You know a cotton mouth by the zorro mask.
Anyone got the names of the banjo music they used in this video?
how do they get such good shots
beautiful
So when the Bass swallow frogs gators ect they’re alive , I wonder if they flop around in their stomachs for awhile ?
I want to see a gator 🤩😍🤩
😅😊🎃 i like your nature
Great footage but why do American narrations always sound like an 80s movie preview?
Lived in Miami all my life never seen a gator yet
You visit the wrong restaurants.

Are we sure a lot of the footage hasn’t been shot inside an Aquarium?
You can't. Many nature documentaries do just that along with using stock footage and CGI. Getting choice footage of animals in the wild is incredibly difficult and expensive.

Never thought I'd see NatGeo putting different footage clips together..it's all UA-cam is full of anymore. 🙄

No way one in 10 gators survive
Question: If no other animals on earth but cows ever need the milk of cows, why do humans keep convincing themselves that they need cow milk?
Pretty silly question, as no different than animals in the wild, nutrition and availability. Why would you ask that question?
We could handle goats, dogs, pigs milk, take your pick of animal, humans can likely use their milk
Why do they keep convincing themselves food needs to come from a store?

I lived a mass majority of my life in the swamps of Florida.
The gator is not king anymore. The Burmese python is.
Gators are prey now. Those huge snakes eat them all the time.
It is still some monster gator's out there
We gotta start paying people $300 for every gator they hunt you can’t walk outside your house without stepping in a gator
