You know the name song use it in this video?
That " cease fire " soldier scene is one of the best scenes in film history. Such emotions
This scene makes my eyes go wet for reasons words can't explain enough!
This is literally the best movie ever made. The combination of story, performances, cinematography, emotion, in my opinion can't be beaten.
I don’t know if I’d say that, but it is excellent. Definitely one of my favourites.
Such an overlooked film. By far one of the best films in this century.
I just watched it for the first time this year and I have been mad at myself for taking so long to watch it ever since.
This Channel is pure gold
Thank you so much! This means a lot to me!
These films are pure gold. This channel is just the gold miner but I'm really happy that it exists. It's just good to see that good films exist today (The Matrix, LotR Trilogy, Coen, Tarantino and Nolan films, etc.), too. Although, what was a good film in the 1980s, is a masterpiece today, and that shows that the golden age of film is sadly ended in the 1990s, and these films are literally art treasures we really need to approciate, but this film is still freaking chilling. Especially that scene. The peak of the apocalyptic (not post-apoc.) genre. Not for this century. For all time.
Strange confession to open up publicly, but this is my go to film whenever I go through bad episodes of depression. This film gives a lot of uplifting faith in the idea of 'hope', and watching this film always reminds me that hope is there, whether we believe it or not. Despite it being a depressing film, it really is more of an uplifting movie. I don't know. This is probably all just crazy talk - shrugs - Thank you for sharing the video though.
The scene where everyone stops shooting to let the baby through made me tear up
I have the same with Fury road
@@jandcstopmotion7774 same
The long takes in this film are just extraordinarily well done.
Oh man, you made me cry once again when all these scenes culminated in the final scene with the soldiers letting them go.
I remember watching this film when I was a kid. Overtime, I would forget what happened in the majority of the movie. All but two scenes: Jasper's death and Theo and Kee at the sea, hoping for the Human Project to arrive. To think that after watching a movie once almost a decade ago yet still able to recall some scenes shows how visually powerful this movie is.
Lubezki es un genio de la cinematografía, Children of Men, The Tree of life, Gravity, Birdman y muchas otras.

To this day, this film is THE most under rated film in the last 20 years. The story, the direction and cinematography, the long take shots. This film has some of the best film language ever put to screen. When I think of our current world situation, I always think of this film in regards to the tone of the world right now. Was just so ahead of it’s time. This movie is one of the rare movies I’ve ever rated a 10/10 and I’m so grateful I randomly gave this movie a chance in the cinema when it was released. Thank You for making this compilation!!!
The best film I’ve ever seen
Complimenti per la scelta della musica di sottofondo, molto coinvolgente! (Sorry I’m italian)
Sei molto Italiano perdonami, te lo posso dire, sei molto italiano
The director of this master piece is a mexican....Alfonso Cuaron and yeah the music is very beautiful
@Matteo Porcaro thank you for being so not italian!
Molto Bene...
THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN ! Its pace, its dynamics, its look, its emotions, its cinematography, its music, its special effects, its setting, its production design. Every dollar was spent for a reason!
The second masterpiece of Alfonso cuaron and the second best video of this channel.
Wich video is the first one? 🤔
@@TheBeautyOf The magnificent Blade Runner 2049
@@santivaultboygamerpro6463 That’s not from Cuarón, that’s from Villanueve
@@santivaultboygamerpro6463 That’s Villeneuve, and even if it was from Cuarón, Blade Runner would technically be his 2nd masterpiece since it came out over 10 years after this movie.
@@flavio7180 he was saying that the blade runner video was the best video on this channel and this video is second best
Children of Men is my favourite movie of all time.
My favorite film. By far the most realistic depiction of what a true dystopian world would look like.
This is so painfully beautiful. This is where we are headed. God help us.
Ending of this movie was the most beautiful things I ever seen
The music gave me chills
What's the name of the music

Cuarón's "Roma" has to make it on here.
Yup. Absolutely stunning cinematography.
You'll find Roma there!
@@TheBeautyOf Really can't wait! This is a great channel.
Thank you !!
I love that you used the Tree of Life song in this. So fitting
works on its own but fitting with Lubezki being the cinematographer for both.
The most memorizable pull my finger scene was in this movie.
L’un des meilleurs films d’anticipation de tous les temps. Absolument fantastique ! ❤
Great video just like everytime :)
New suggestions : The Grand Budapest Hotel and Gladiator
Both of them are coming, thank you !!
The beauty of Rumble Fish !
I absolutely love your videos! Your videos still keep the feel of the film while being comparatively short it's absolutely fantastic
Merci Benjamin 🙏
The shot of him waking up is by far the Best imho.
If you had the music stop abruptly as the explosion hit at the beginning… I think that would actually given me chills. Bit of a missed opportunity but still great video!
A masterpiece of dystopia!
0:57 that scene is so F*ck*ng well acted and without a dialogue.
Every time it breaks me
Absolute gem of a channel, mate. The beauty of Hirokazu Kore-Eda would be awesome. Please and thank you :)
Great vid. Would you consider doing Prisoners and Inside Llewyn Davis?
Thank you, both of them are planned!
The bets movies of 2006: Children of Men, The Departed and Pan´s Labyrinth.

The Departed sucked
Seriously I am sharing this to all my friends your channel is really underrated man
One of the most incredible random watches I’ve ever done. This movie is simply… human and gripping. Fantastic cinematography.
That was a god movie

probably one of the most important film I ever watched.
This is really a great channel. Glad to find you. Excellent work.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing
that car chase scene man what a fucking thrill ride
Un beau bout de science fiction ce film. Une oeuvre quasi religieuse. Le choix de la musique est très judicieux !
Best movie anyone involved has done.
Best movie of the 21st century!
Great video as always, I’m one of your first subscribers and it’s cool to see the channel grow. Would love to see Knight of Cups or Lost River at some point down the line, keep it up!

How are you able to find beauty in this? Children of Men, probably the most mind-torturing movie there is.
What do you mean? The movie is great and has lots of striking visuals!
@@jandcstopmotion7774 Yeah, but it's constant uncertainty, and despair, and depression, and action all in the middle. While it plays, the stress that it causes is never dropped, there's always the expectance of something terrible just waiting to happen, the heart is always on the brink of being vomited out.
The iconic scene of the crying baby is probably a common memory in the audience. It might as well be a painting.
Gravity is a little like that. The watcher experiences the desperation and constant stress and uncertainty with the actress.
@@gabrielp8660 that is a good thing about the movie not a bad thing, the fact that you were stressed means that you got emotionally invested.
@@jandcstopmotion7774 I don't think that's good. I think of it as something to endure really, it's extra stress.
@@gabrielp8660 what movies do you like then? You must just hate every movie with tense scenes.
hermoso
İt gives me postal vibes
Song? :(
Funeral canticle
You know how it's so good too, for me growing up playing videogames, it feels like it's shot and edited the way you would a game. Like you have the cut scenes that guide you into what's all going on and then especially the action scenes it masterfully transitions into first person view To give you that feeling you're there also and immerse you more.
Roma next please.
You're not the first one to ask me this, I should definitely watch it!
anyone know song
Funeral Canticle
@@TheBeautyOf thx
"Predictive programming".
What's the song name??🙏
Funeral canticle 😌
Please make Magnolia
I will!
I would be interested in you reviewing a bad movie in this format. That way, you can present your channel as something that you can see in all movies, not just the good ones. I would recommend something easy, like.....
Norm of the North.
Or The Room.
I understand what you mean. I don't want to present good films only, for exemple Ghost in the shell (2016), is not really good, but i really like the visuals.
I got so many videos i want to do right now, masterpiece, good and average movie with visuals i love !
That’s ironic, because I consider Ghost In The Shell to be a well-rounded and alright film. But if you think it’s a bad movie, you can go ahead and make a video on it. It would still be really interesting to make a video about bad movies.
As Martin Scorsese once said, we learn more from bad films than good ones.
Completely agree with you and everyone got his point of view 🙂 you can already find the video on the channel 😉
Nice. 👍🏻
