James, always so wonderful singing, and every song what you sing, and what i listen, then i understand that you are really amazing man,so damn hot too!!! Manic street preachers best band in the world!!! I really love you guys, like 4ever!!!
Very early Manics was heavily influenced by Thunders and the Dolls, I just ignore all their post Richie stuff because its so dull, if I’m being honest everything but their first few EPs is poor, Motown Junk, You Love Us and New Art Riot were great, Generation Terrorists was ok but it wasn’t great, Loves Sweet Exile was the best song on it by far.
This track is on GnR's Spaghetti Incident.... Duff played drums, bass, guitars and sang.... can't remember who played lead guitar, it wasn't Slash. It was originally meant for Duff's solo album called 'Beleive In Me', that is itself a great record. Check it out.
Love the Manics, but it annoys me when people cover songs and needlessly add nuances for the sake of making it a little different. It didn't work here.

Johnny would be proud!
This is brilliant! I can’t believe I never knew about this cover until today! Love this song 🖤
Crikey on a crumpet. Never knew you'd done this, one of the most perfect R&R songs of ever. Perfect rep choice, thank you,
That´s wonderful! James is god!!!
It's a Johnny Thunders' song from 1978, and the correct title is "You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory". It was covered by Guns'n'Roses in 1993
I love the original. Johnny Thunders is just amazing.
