I had visited the USA in ‘76 and when I was checking into my hotel in LA there was a ticket box in the foyer. The concert was for Long Beach, I stopped and actually held a ticket in my hand! Then I realised that my whole itinerary would be be messed up. As I was going to be in the USA for a few months I decided to catch a show down the track as he was on tour. My next stop was Vegas and I went to the hotel and they allowed me to see the showroom. I stood near the sound box and pictured Elvis on that stage. I could feel the energy of that room. It was April and I then went to the mid west for a couple of months. Somehow I didn’t get to see him before departing for Europe. The very next year he passed away. If I have one big regret in my life it was that!! Actually holding a ticket and then deciding against it. The motto of this story was that opportunity comes grab it as there may not be another.!!
Fascinating insight. Such a documentary should have been done decades ago when all the original fittings were still in place. But no one had the inclination back then it seems. We're privileged that you've taken the trouble to go all the way and beyond to share this in-depth material that I personally have been yearning to see for so long. Thank you Billy. Can't wait for the rest!!
I'm with you, T. However, we all can be glad that in the past half century previous owners haven't totally decimated the place. All we have to do is tear off the coverings and most of the original glory is still there beneath it. Let's go!ua-cam.com/video/ZQ2EvXWjBtk/v-deo.html
This is the coolest ever. That statue though is poorly done. I would be embarrassed to have it in my hotel. That's the Way it Is was an amazing movie. Elvis was by far in his prime there. Hard to imagine in 6 years or so he became so ill and died. Such a waste. Self destruction is terrible. His mother was the same though. Billy thank you so much for these videos and so jealous you got to stand on the stage where Elvis stood. Binging these shows from first to last. Enjoying every minute of it. Thank you!
Thank you, Spa Guy. This is extraordinary. As a life long Elvis fan, I sometimes get a sense that I've pretty much seen, heard & read all things Elvis. You have put that feeling away. I am fascinated by what you have produced here. Thank you for all your time and effort.
You are doing what I've always wondered what it was like to walk in Elvis' foot steps from all the iconic film footage from Vegas/Memphis..heck..anywhere! Billy, thank you for being the Elvis Spectre. You are like the living ghost of Elvis past! Lets not forget the Gray Ghost neither. You go above and beyond not only for yourself as an Elvis historian but for us HUGE fans like myself who can only wish to do half of what you do and provide. From myself I thank you from the heart and soul. You are Such a talented musician. Hoping one day we can meet and always know that when you say..There you have it friends! You know you have one here in Connecticut. Been going to Graceland since 1980. You go above and beyond. Again, Thank you and god bless. Always be safe and you Tighten Up for us always. Sincerely, Rowland
600 plus concerts right there!!! Amazing. Great this building still exists as so many buildings get demolished.Cranny how life goes as Elvis was not very well received in the 50's in Vegas but then in 69 -76 (77 ?) was the top draw!!! Gee want a good seat a tip of $100 will get ya closer. Big $$$ back then as mentioned. Of all the places Elvis sang I suppose he liked Vegas & Hawaii the most. Possibly Memphis as well. Really super vid.
I loved this vídeo. Seeing the places where the mity of ELVIS Presley passed and made history was wonderful. For me "the Internacional hotel" is a sort of "Elvistic cathedral". I love Elvis and this sacred place where ELVIS took thousands of fans to delirium.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

This is fantastic! Spa Guy, you're living my dreams, lol. Thankyou so much for giving us a glimpse of the things we may never get to see for ourselves. Love x 1000
After watching 'That's The Way It Is' countless of times since I was a youngster in Europe, I knew that one day I will walk into that room. Sure enough, after moving permanently to Las Vegas from Europe, I was able to sneak into that showroom a few years ago. I was the only soul in that room and got the chills like never before. I will never forget that feeling.
I love the energy and enthusiasm of our two guest presenters. And the video clip really moves along fast. I was surprised to see the end credit appear so quickly. I guess I am enjoying the presentation and didn't want it to end. Hehehhe.
It would be awesome to travel where all Elvis has been!!! Just meet half the people he came in contact with!!! Wow Billy that’s what you do!!!🤪😁😁 What awesome video’s you bring us SG!! Thanks so much!
Man, I still have some of your past episodes I have to watch. Just watched this one today. What a great Hotel. So great that they kept a lot of things like some of those cool older Chandeliers. Wouldn't mind going there just to have a good look around. Enjoyable one. Thanks again, Billy.
I dont know why you dont make some kind of dvd i get more out of watching youre uploads than anyone elses youre simply the best keep up the good work many thanks russ
'This is very cool' Billy, to think over 600 the over times Elvis tread those same foot falls. Wow. Again I'm living vicariously through your videos sir :), looking forward to seeing the rest of this series.
I thought the International was torn down. Never wanted to go to Las Vegas until now and stay in one of the rooms there but I have to tighten up first and save up for some money. Can't wait for part 2 !
I finally had time to watch all parts.. now Im rewatching them all..looking forward to part 6. I like those guys! and I noticed Prince was mentioned... My home town boy from Minnesota!
I always try looking for this stage and couldn't find it but Billy .y man tighten up as always and found it amazing friends AMAZING I ENJOY IT BILLY THANKS SO MUCH ..GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AS WELL AND DAD TOO !!!
Fantastic! That was very interesting. I had the good fortune of visiting that stage in 2005. Walked in hoping not to get tossed out and went to the stage where he would've waited to come out during his intro. I noticed a very old mirror on the wall adjacent to where Elvis would've been standing prior to coming out. Always wondered if Elvis looked into that mirror. Can't wait for the subsequent showings, Spa Guy! :)
Billy...ty..for sharing...this...we are so special...to see this...it's a backstage...pass that most will...never see... hopefully...one day... I'll make...it to Vegas too see where Elvis was...I thank you...for taking...us on your Elvis journey...it's a joy... looking forward to other videos to come...hope all is well with you and Lori....your friend.... Bonnie
WOW thank you so much billy.i would never have ever been so lucky to have seen this ever if it wasn’t for all your research my friend.lovin it.so exciting x
I was waiting for this video Billy. Loved how you went near the kitchen area. I loved it when Elvis walked by there and waved to the people in the cafeteria can't wait for the other videos on this
Another superb video. On a visit from England in 2013, i managed to visit the showroom and the dressing room! so this brings back great memories of an iconic place in Elvis history
This is so cool and it's intriguing to me when I hear stories from people who have as much enthusiasm about Elvis as I do 😊. Awesome video Spa Guy, I can't wait to see the rest!
Thank you for part 1 of the story about Elvis and his time at what was then, The International Hilton in Las Vegas Showroom where Elvis stood and performed incredible shows for thousands of people who loved him. It seems that I noticed part 2 of the story first, after I started looking at it. That's alright, I enjoyed both videos and look forward to part 3. Love you Spa Guy!!
Any concert or video I’ve ever watched with Elvis in it I never saw anything but him. I only recently paid attention to his singers and band members. He was mesmerizing to me
Thank you Spa Guy. This was another gem of a video you made. I loved it and can’t wait for the others to follow. You really have given a lot of rare and never before seen views in your videos. 👍
wow spa guy when you opened the showroom doors I had tingles, and I am here in Wales in the UK i probably would have been very emotional if I had been with you thank you for all you are doing it is fascinating
Man that is just awesome, I have always wanted to see what that place looks like now!! I have seen That's The Way It Is hundreds of times!!! Thanks for sharing Spa Guy!!
I love your videos spa guy .I find them fascinating to watch I love finding out all these facts about elvis life I have been a fan since the early seventies so thank you so much for all the hard work you do I cant wait for your next video
Thanks Billy ...this is fantastic . .I was in Vegas November last year...I visited the Westgate....I agree I was disappointed with the statue...did not resemble Elvis at all but it was nice to be in a place where Elvis had been...I could almost feel his spirit there...but this is a beautiful insight into the walk along to the stage that he would have walked.. once again thanks Billy as always another wonderful video...
Just a fantastic video on the International Hilton in Las Vegas where Elvis did his shows. Nice to get some insight. Thanks to Mr. Richard Crofts for his insight and sharing his memories. The one regret is never being able to see Elvis in person at one of his shows. Many thanks Mr. Spa Guy. I look forward to the other parts to this story. God bless.
ALSO ** Interesting story if you read this Spa Guy, I stayed in Memphis for a week a couple months ago and tried to go see Scotty Moores old house where Elvis first met him and Bill Black to audition, I was chased out of the neighborhood... I can laugh about it now, but at the time it was pretty wild. I couldnt even get a picture off, some teenagers jumped in a pick up truck and tried running me off the road. Sad. Love your stuff man, keep on doing it.
Thanks for this, Spa Guy. I look forward to the rest of them . I was at the Westgate in May 2015 for the Elvis Experience with Martin Fountain, the entertainer who "recreated" the Elvis Vegas show. Wonderful! I tried to imagine what it was really like. The Graceland museum was open there, too. Unfortunately, this was shut down. There was not a lot of publicity for it and younger people who came to Vegas weren't interested, I guess😢.
Awesome Spa Guy and thank you! I lived in Vegas back in 1985 for six months but never got into the Hilton,/International backstage like this! Thank you!
