Brilliant review dude. Looked like you were being interviewed about it with your lightinf and the camera setup. Such beautiful quality all around: video, sound, etc. Looking to buy this headset for my son and your review really helped. The only thing I'm worried about is the wire construction. Does it seem very durable and as rugged as one would hope or is it on the flimsier side? I would be afraid those wires would wear out over time and snap one of the ear cups off. Overall, I love the look of the headset, the aviator style looks awesome.
Thanks for the kind words! I would be really surprised if you found fault with the wireframe design. They feel a lot more durable than headsets that favor plastic headbands, such as the first-generation PS Gold headset. Time will tell on the overall durability, but the headset is holding up great so far. (It now belongs to my son.) I'm testing out an Astro A10 Gen 2 headset (MSRP $59) for an upcoming review... Price aside, other than the packaging and design (subjective), the SG500 is probably going to still be my recommendation, especially for a kid. (I haven't completed side-by-side testing yet so that's my recollection of sound quality.) Let me know if you have any questions. I can make a Short to address those too.
I just ordered these. I'm looking for a headset that's going to let me hear directional footsteps and gunfire for games like call of duty and rainbow 6 seige
They say you can remove the ear pads, but it feels like I'm going to break the damn thing. They lying about the magnet because I'm using way too much force for a magnet.
@@tobiramasenju7192 Sorry about that man. It would appear that they are cutting corners on the headset. I'm going to email my contact at Senzer and see what's up.
@ Good call. I have not seen that headset first hand. Looks similar for sure but certainly looks to have some better features minus the removable ear pads. I’ll try to get a pair and do a review / comparison.
I wonder if you got a defective pair. Mine has serviceable sound quality. The total feature set made it a good deal for the price, not judging it on sound quality alone. I hope that helps.

@716JG, let me know what you think when you get to try them out.
Are the magnetic ear cushions of the SG500 headset practical or just a gimmick?
I’ve never had a reason to remove them. Nice feature in theory but it wouldn’t impact my decision in my headset selection. Thanks for the question!

They are definitely magnets on this pair!
