This guy is fantastic. I am so happy that there are so many Chinese masters sharing their very valuable knowledge . It will not only make us much more healthy but also have much better lives. It's not about self défense as much as health, relaxation and happiness. This is the first guy that I'm really want to learn from. How lucky we are that he is sharing his knowledge that is so valuable.
This guy has been accepting foreign students for years, but seems recently his English has improved. But what about westerners? Have their Mandarin improved? It's as if expecting your college professor to learn your native language and teach you his stuff
I thank Master Yuan for authorizing the publication of these videos and I also want to congratulate wudang academy staff for publishing these teachings, they are of great value to me, they are an inspiration to continue the journey, one day I want to go to wudang and train with our Sifu Yuan, I wish you many blessings, health and peace. Greetings from Puerto Rico!!!!
amazing teacher !! I usually watch videos and nod but with him I was on the floor trying what he taught. Because he explains the reason and goal so well and visually it changes everything.
Yes! Good to see, this is real, foundational training. You have to make attaining these lower stances a lifestyle change; practicing them all day long, in any way you can. Strength, Mobility, Flexibility.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. Such wisdom and knowledge. This has done incredible things for my lumbar pain and overall flexibility. Much appreciated, a thousand times!
10:45 when I did that, I stretched, but there's tension and pain at areas near the lateral of my belly (往馬步傾斜的左右腰部) . How do I stretch that out? Or remedy?
Stretching must be relaxed. But when one can, then tighten the muscles then relax and one will find that thry can stretch a little further. From total tension comes total relaxation the opposite is true. Very good Sifu.
Greetings everyone. May I enquire what do you think about the tuition pricing of Master Yuan's school? Or about the prices at Wu Dang Shan in general? Thank you kindly.
I'm Irish/British and have worked as a Chinese Chef. Squatting eating is no problem for me. When at work I have had Chinese people surprised that I eat while squatting. Also trained in Karate and Kung Fu.
The exercise at the end im teaching myself, one problem i have is its sort of pinching my sides when i rest on my knee. Like my side stomach skin is folding in and causing discomfort. This is just normal? Just practice more right?
At 4.43 ¡ ! aaaAAAhhh !. . The way a master can so DEFTLY throw that right leg out with such precision and (elastic-like) ease. It's deceiving - - the power necessary to execute this seemingly simple move.
Such basic conditioning is fundamental to success in many forms of martial arts. And just life in general. It is a sad statement on mans civilization. That he has lost touch with his natural movements in the race towards a more comfortable life. There is irony here. But thanks to Master Yuan, and a small handful of other traditional teachers. There is a rebirth occurring. Not just in kung fu society, but across the globe. We have lost far too much already. To lose anymore of our humanity. Thank you Master Yuan. Overcome the darkness. Stira and suka: firmness and ease... use effort only as much as necessary, and let each body part share the collective effort. In other words, distribute an effort over all involved body parts.
If you want to fight you must join a fighting club and lose many times. Mr Moy once said to me, how can you win if you don't lose? However, this Wudang is very good.
Sitting on a toilet isnt natural. It cones from French King who would have a toilet built into his Throne. He would go whilst holding Court. Very uncivilised.
Squatting toilets are natural for the body. It opens a muscle making defecating very easy. Unless on is constipated. Learning from an early age is best.
As I have explained in May, Moy Lin Shin's tai chi is comparable. The Canadian Tai Chi Academy is not so far away as wudang, but I am convinced that this is the real deal.
Haha, for Chinese people it’s not a problem, because they squat all their lives, not just for the toilet, lol. Westerners mostly never squat, so all the muscles are extremely tight, and they have also not acquired the proprioceptic data to keep balance in this squat. And you don’t make the tendon longer, this is a common mistake; you need to train the muscle to elongate more. Tendons’ function is to be as strong as possible. So, do soothe and cajole your leg muscles into better relaxation.

Tyson wasn't much shorter than some of his opponents, yet he opted for a very low bobbing stance, you're not just going to stay down there, it would be as stupid as standing still, this doesn't just apply to fighting ether, it's stretching for flexibility and health, it's the ability to move on every level, whether you're stood up or crouching, these types of stances with momentarily confuse an opponent, creating an opening to attack
Happy Holidays yes, he explains that that’s the natural body posture to go poop. Or when people eat. ..,which is something that some modern society have lost
Frustrating for this people. I can't understand all these positiv comments Here. Its only for very flexibel ones. They Like fancy teachers, calling IT qi Gong all the time

Global indeed.
It would be really great if He could come and teach all his knowledge in Manchester England. I would go to learn from him.
We have many seminars throughout the year and you are always welcome to visit: wudang.academy/category/events/

Sitting on a toilet isnt natural. It cones from French King who would have a toilet built into his Throne. He would go whilst holding Court. Very uncivilised.
Danke für die guten Ideen ..

As a 42 year old I'm wondering - How do you do this without injuring yourself?
Squatting toilets are natural for the body. It opens a muscle making defecating very easy. Unless on is constipated. Learning from an early age is best.
Good chigong five animals👍wudang
As I have explained in May, Moy Lin Shin's tai chi is comparable. The Canadian Tai Chi Academy is not so far away as wudang, but I am convinced that this is the real deal.

No, we're just stuck in truth and clarity.

Why do one have to sit so low? The opponent is standing up there, right? Over stretching the joints isn't a good idea?
Good for health, not fighting. Flexible joints is ok if all body is flexible. Good excersize makes the joints move togther correctly.
Tyson wasn't much shorter than some of his opponents, yet he opted for a very low bobbing stance, you're not just going to stay down there, it would be as stupid as standing still, this doesn't just apply to fighting ether, it's stretching for flexibility and health, it's the ability to move on every level, whether you're stood up or crouching, these types of stances with momentarily confuse an opponent, creating an opening to attack
nope, its is for fighting, when you put you mass center down you have better stability
Yeuteamo
did He just call the squatting position the "poo poo" lmao
Happy Holidays yes, he explains that that’s the natural body posture to go poop. Or when people eat. ..,which is something that some modern society have lost

So commercial
