    This guy is fantastic. I am so happy that there are so many Chinese masters sharing their very valuable knowledge . It will not only make us much more healthy but also have much better lives. It's not about self défense as much as health, relaxation and happiness. This is the first guy that I'm really want to learn from. How lucky we are that he is sharing his knowledge that is so valuable.

      This guy has been accepting foreign students for years, but seems recently his English has improved. But what about westerners? Have their Mandarin improved? It's as if expecting your college professor to learn your native language and teach you his stuff

    Yes! Good to see, this is real, foundational training. You have to make attaining these lower stances a lifestyle change; practicing them all day long, in any way you can. Strength, Mobility, Flexibility.

    10:45 when I did that, I stretched, but there's tension and pain at areas near the lateral of my belly (往馬步傾斜的左右腰部) . How do I stretch that out? Or remedy?

  • @pentuplove6542
    @pentuplove6542 4 роки тому +2

    Stretching must be relaxed. But when one can, then tighten the muscles then relax and one will find that thry can stretch a little further.
    From total tension comes total relaxation the opposite is true.
    Very good Sifu.

    At 4.43 ¡ ! aaaAAAhhh !. . The way a master can so DEFTLY throw that right leg out with such precision and (elastic-like) ease. It's deceiving - - the
    power necessary to execute this seemingly simple move.

    Such basic conditioning is fundamental to success in many forms of martial arts. And just life in general. It is a sad statement on mans civilization. That he has lost touch with his natural movements in the race towards a more comfortable life. There is irony here. But thanks to Master Yuan, and a small handful of other traditional teachers. There is a rebirth occurring. Not just in kung fu society, but across the globe. We have lost far too much already. To lose anymore of our humanity. Thank you Master Yuan.

    Stira and suka: firmness and ease... use effort only as much as necessary, and let each body part share the collective effort. In other words, distribute an effort over all involved body parts.

    Squatting toilets are natural for the body. It opens a muscle making defecating very easy. Unless on is constipated. Learning from an early age is best.

    Haha, for Chinese people it’s not a problem, because they squat all their lives, not just for the toilet, lol. Westerners mostly never squat, so all the muscles are extremely tight, and they have also not acquired the proprioceptic data to keep balance in this squat. And you don’t make the tendon longer, this is a common mistake; you need to train the muscle to elongate more. Tendons’ function is to be as strong as possible. So, do soothe and cajole your leg muscles into better relaxation.

    Why do one have to sit so low? The opponent is standing up there, right? Over stretching the joints isn't a good idea?

    • @Trevktaves
      @Trevktaves 5 років тому

      Good for health, not fighting. Flexible joints is ok if all body is flexible. Good excersize makes the joints move togther correctly.

    • @nathrob2437
      @nathrob2437 5 років тому

      Tyson wasn't much shorter than some of his opponents, yet he opted for a very low bobbing stance, you're not just going to stay down there, it would be as stupid as standing still, this doesn't just apply to fighting ether, it's stretching for flexibility and health, it's the ability to move on every level, whether you're stood up or crouching, these types of stances with momentarily confuse an opponent, creating an opening to attack
