Before Kolbe and Arendse there was Gio Aplon, who was very similar to them and just as good. He unfortunately played in a time when the Springboks didn't pick smaller wingers/fullbacks.
Speaking of Western Province aka Stormers, they recently beat one of the strongest club sides in the world, La Rochelle, in the final minute of the game (Champions Cup).
Cheslin "Too Small" Kolbe. Now wouldn't that be an OG name to have after a world cup victory. Now he is a Rugby Legend, National Treasure & Hero to many people in South Africa, as a country we are proud to stand behind our rugby teams, they bring nothing less than the best, they are a reflection of what our wonderful country can do when we stand together, united in our passion, every good rugby player reflects this & will dedicate everything they have to do a nation proud, no matter where they are, their hearts beat for their passion and that same passion to stand tall as a South African.
That's why you should not compare him to any other wing ..Cheslin are in a class of his own...We had grt wingers in the past.. Chester Williams Breyton Paulse James Small JP Petersen Gio Aplon ... You'll see they each different and skillful 🤘🤘
Search Gio Aplon, he is the original Kolbe. Same size, maybe even faster and just as agile. That number 13 for the stormers as well, Juan de Jongh former springboks outside center, look how he sports Kolbe. A 13 always runs with his wing
2x Top 14 winner Top 14 player of the year Lions Tour winner Bronze Olympic Medal for 7s Currie Cup Rugby Championship 2x World Cup winner Bros won it all in my opinion the greatest South African wing of all time and the greatest wing in the world
@@Spanky9605 His inconsistencies are as a result of injuries. He's had lots of them. Make time to watch him speak about those. No matter how good you are as a player, injuries do have long term impact on performance
Something that I've noticed has not been highlighted in this video is the defensive game that Kolbe possess and portays on the field. Not only the effort and ability but also the game IQ, as said in the video, his always there, always in the right place
Hey I appreciate your consistency but because of the amount of players pple ask for and the quality of the channel I can’t do that one at the moment. So many more worthy players I still need to do (and that’s no disrespect to Damian)

...Breytie, a Springbok, was actually before Gio...
And before him was Brent Russel, the Pocket Rocket.
@@lastmanstanding9389 Breytie was before Brent. Debut 1999, Brent 2002
@@lastmanstanding9389 Chester Williams was the original.
Breyton was SMALL ..wat bedoel jy
he is unbelievably amazing...
Greased lightning, thanks for posting, I'm just so glad to have witnessed such talent.
Almost forgot about the empty stadiums in the covid year. What a stupid brain fart time by the politicians. Embarrassing.

You should react to the Man, Joost Van der Westhuizen, who tackled Lomu
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
Cheslin Kolbe = Lionel Messi
His size makes it hard for players to tackle him since he’s so short. Players would have to be kneeling to tackle him to prevent a high tackle
he may be small but he is stronger than alot of people twice his size

What an incredible talent
Cheslin is the highest paid international player atm with Faf in second place. (for Soith Africa)
Gio Aplon is the OG. He played for the boks but only for a short while.
