@@HBarnill I usually defend a lot of the choices Disney makes in terms of their rides and attractions, but honestly the projected faces are just something I can not defend.
Or without some fire affects I believe in one of the fireworks part there was fire except if it was a screen affect and before the dog wash I believe there was a fire thing 9:40 and 9:46 I mean there are some rides with some fire affects, I don't know about Univeral Hollywood but I do know that in Florida, the mummy and Spiderman has some fire, if I'm missing any attraction that also has fire affects, then I guess please tell me, but I do know that basically every ride has some water affects, Spoderman, Transformers, I dont know but I think maybe the hulk, is that like steam, mist, Hagrid's, kong, obviously all the water rides, and many others.

Not gonna lie, I squealed and kinda teared up seeing how they turn the riders into dogs. It's so cute and innovative!! Reminds me of the Haunted Mansion where the riders are in the mirror with the Hitchhiking Ghosts!
That queue is insane. If you were to take a picture of it with no context, I'd think you were in someones actual home. The theming throughout the ride is amazing as well.
I think Universal struck gold with this one. The queue looks very unique and very well done. You won’t get bored waiting for this ride because there’s always something to look at. Plus, it doesn’t even feel like a queue (at least from what I can see in the video). And the ride itself looks fantastic.

If the Secret Life of Pets were a superhero franchise like Zack Snyder’s Justice League, then it would probably be one of my all-time favorite franchises, ngl.
To be fair both of the movies aren’t exactly “awful” and the franchise has a ton of potential, but I do agree that Illumination’s writing with all of their movies are really conservative and only cater to just the younger audience instead of everyone.

They even think about the seats in the queue. People may be get tired of standing a long time. So they build some 'sofa' to let guest sit and looks like they are sitting in a house. Great job.
I actually got to see them making the animatronics irl at garner holt. I couldnt take my phone to take pics but i actually saw and got to feel their fur material
And from a logistics pov, slow moving dark rides are great "people eaters". This ride can probably take a very high capacity without feeling overcrowded, especially when there's so much to see in the queue, so it gets more people out of the sun and off the walkways, making the experience around the park faster and less overcrowded.
I'm impressed by how good this is. I've never seen the film, so I don't know how much it draws from that, but as a dark ride, this is incredible. This is the type of quality and detail that put Disney on the map, and we haven't seen a ride like this from Disney or Universal in around 2 decades now.

@@jasonbaylor9865 Disney’s previous dark rides are good, although I disagree about toad and Pooh. This is far superior to all of Disney’s modern dark rides except for ROTR though. I would like to point out that the reason why the animatronics are a little stiff is because of the shear quantity of them. Obviously, the price of over 60 less advanced animatronics would be relatively equal to one or two super advanced animatronics. Also, there is a fairly cohesive story. You are a dog and snowball is trying to get you adopted, so you cruise through many scenes taking place in New York City, where at the end, a family finally adopts you. Overall, this seems like a pretty decent dark ride, and the best dark ride since 2020. Watch Poseidon Entertainment’s video for a more detailed insight, but I still think Mansion, Pirates, Indy, etc are still easily superior.

Universal has always been great with queues and that makes sense...they make movies so they know how to handle set design. I remember back in the day how spookily accurate the NYC Transit ambience was in line for King Kong.
@@annieskywalker9290 That one is great also - from what I remember it is a realistic setting but the color palette is limited to a few hues per room - like a desk with the computer and phone and pencil cup and stapler and lamp were all painted the exact same shade of beige to mimic newsprint comics where shapes of background props are more important than complex shading and color detail.
This is a pretty cool ride! The fact that they opted for animatronics instead of the basic screen-based dark ride was a nice touch and just what Universal needed, and there are so many Easter eggs scattered around for fans of the movies such as myself. The queue line looked absolutely fantastic, and I like the little premise of the riders being dogs who are going to get adopted.
The superb animatronics and queue really blew me away. This is the sort of thing I’ve been wishing Universal would make more of (even if it may not have been this IP specifically) and they knocked it out of the park. Such a fantastic ride.
I’m a Disney person, but this ride was really cool! You never see barely any animatronics at universal, and they mostly rely on screens to tell the story. But this was really cool! The queue itself is an attraction!
I'm a grown man and I can honestly say this ride made me tear up because it's so cute and really makes you feel the emotion new dogs must feel when they find a loving home ❤
THERE WERE SO MANY ANIMATRONICS!!! I'm a huge Disney nerd and with how Disney has been lately, Universal just out Disneyed Disney!! This gave me such joy!! I haven't seen this many animatronics and such good decorating in a new ride in SUCH a long time. Not a ton of empty space, and so many places for the eye to look!
From this video alone, I’m stoked for Uni Hollywood. They needed this, and from the beginning of the queue to the end this looks like an amazing and cute fun experience!! Glad they finally got something new, hope this is a good sign for their future!!

This ride combines so many elements and does it seamlessly. I love the haunted mansion-esque touch with you turning into a puppy in the cars. The ending with the blow dryer was too good. I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much watching a ride pov, they nailed it!

Ironically, Garner Holt is the one that’s been producing CEC’s animatronics for a while now. Still, I think they did a really nice job with the figures and the ride as a whole. Especially considering I’m not a huge fan of the film, This ride was super charming and something Universal Hollywood’s desperately needed more of for a while. Classic style darkrides with detailed sets & animatronics.

I got to be one of the first people to ride this when they did a soft opening for Taste of Universal. I was SO ecstatic! We even got to take our time with each queue room to enjoy and take everything in. This is such a great direction Universal is taking, hopefully we'll get more dark rides like this.

@Cobra Kai okay, and why don't you compare those to the Forbidden Journey, Escape from Gringotts, or even Revenge of the Mummy? Universal has superb theming to the last detail for all rides they create. Again, they are both pretty good at it, but Disney is NOT better than Universal. Period.
I know a lot of people don’t like the screens, but personally this ride is a amazing example of how well blending the screens with animatronics can work.
Omg the most adorable ride ever! I love the interactive aspect of it and how much detail went into designing the sets to look like the movies. Also some hidden Easter eggs in there.😊
I've seen another POV now as well and they have multiple lines of dialogue! Seems like the ride may be slightly different everytime you ride, with different dialogue or screen scenes, which is so cool!
This is what I wanted Mickey and Minnie runaway railway to be but instead it was all screens. This is amazing! Ps: I have been on the ride they do have some animatronics but idk if it’s the technology or what but they look like screens.

I love this one, but Indiana Jones Adventure and Flight Of Passage also have truly great queues.

This ride looks amazing!
I got to be one of the first people to ride this when they did a soft opening for Taste of Universal. I was SO ecstatic! We even got to take our time with each queue room to enjoy and take everything in. This is such a great direction Universal is taking, hopefully we'll get more dark rides like this.

@@RussGussDoodles I gotta disagree with you there. Universal has very special attention to detail in everything they do. I could say they're both just as good, but Disney is definitely NOT better than Universal in that aspect.
@Cobra Kai okay, and why don't you compare those to the Forbidden Journey, Escape from Gringotts, or even Revenge of the Mummy? Universal has superb theming to the last detail for all rides they create. Again, they are both pretty good at it, but Disney is NOT better than Universal. Period.

Just imagine if Simpsons and Despicable Me were similar to this! Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend in Universal Parks.
I know a lot of people don’t like the screens, but personally this ride is a amazing example of how well blending the screens with animatronics can work.
Omg the most adorable ride ever! I love the interactive aspect of it and how much detail went into designing the sets to look like the movies. Also some hidden Easter eggs in there.😊
Im surprised how much I was into this! I didn’t care for the movie too much but this ride is awesome! Id definitely ride it in person!
The queue reminds me of walking through IKEA and with the floor signs. 😆

I've seen another POV now as well and they have multiple lines of dialogue! Seems like the ride may be slightly different everytime you ride, with different dialogue or screen scenes, which is so cool!

Ps: I have been on the ride they do have some animatronics but idk if it’s the technology or what but they look like screens.

I don't like the Secret life of pets but this ride is incredible, the queue alone is a masterpiece.

It’s cute! Not sure it’s worth the wait time! But I’m glad to see Universal is finally using screens correctly: to enhance a scene, not fully replace real props! Are they FINALLY bringing THEME back to their Theme Parks?!
I'm impressed! It's awesome seeing how lately universal is making more rides with less screens. Can't wait to see more of what they got planned!
