3 - 12 foot 6x6s/ Bury then 2 feet down so if they happen to lean, they still won't come out. Also, consider getting 4 steel Ts that will hold the upper 6x6 in place. Concrete is not required.
@@michaelromer2016 thanks a lot man, your build and videos have helped me tremendously with my 305/AQ280 repowering project. I can't wait to see your boat on its maiden voyage. I feel like I've been right there with you building it out Haha.
Hello, if I remove the engine to repaint the engine block without loosening the front engine mounts, must the engine be aligned? Thanks for your videos. I watch these videos from France. Good work.
Here is the deal. If you take weight off the engine stand and put it right back down, for some reason, it still throws off the engine alignment. It should still be close enough to get the alignment shaft in the rear and may require slight adjustment afterwards. If you haven't already, grab the alignment tool off eBay.
Awesome videos your giving me the motivation to bringing this boat back to life
Sorry for the background noise towards the end. It was 103 degrees outside and a fan was blowing against the camera.
How tall are the 6x6's? I am planning on doing my Sportcraft 250 next week, but I'm not sure what length to go with. Will 12' be enough you think?
