This may very well be the most incredible re-birth of a band in music history...there are TONS and TONS of reactions to all 3 tracks that have been released. Viva Extreme....I get chills every time Nuno does those cool little muted licks between parts of the song...he's my all time favorite.
Couldn't agree more. I was gutted when the disbanded in '95. Went to their reunion tours from 2008 onwards but to see them make such a splash and get organic attention is UNREAL! Viva Extreme indeed!
I love this new project. There are shades of Tribe of Judah and the harmonies that I loved from Three Sides. Its so good. Gary's vocals blow me away every time I hear #Rebel.
Loved your comments and insights. I agree with you, just thought I'd add that it seems like they have 1 foot in the present and and 1 in the past. Not only are they not worrying about being modern and more like other more currently popular artists, but to the contrary they are leaning fully into and celebrating their roots. Aerosmith, Queen, the Who, the Beatles and yes, celebrating themselves. Bringing themselves back for the existing fans but also hopefully gaining some news ones as well. Hey were Extreme, we're back and we're as badass as ever! 🔥
I was a massive Extreme fan back in the day. (I'm Nunos age) this album has actually brought tears to my eyes on several songs. To hear real rock, real guitar and real solos is so freaking refreshing . I'm absolutely blown away, speechless on this song and album
I appreciate your perspective on the song. I saw them two weeks ago for the first time since I saw them 34 years ago and they were incredibly awesome. I enjoy this song so much more than Rise and this solo is Nuno's career masterpiece. It was all building up to this moment.
Dude,…. Sorry but I ve now seen this reaction about 50 times ever since this song got released and have to give you loads of praise on your take and explanation and perspective. Awesome and sincere take on this tune allows you to pull out equally sincere reactions!!!! Thank heaps dude….. Seriously Cool.
We're so blessed that they are playing at his level this many years later. This album is so great that I bought the CD, and don't have a CD player. I wanted to support the band.
If any one noticed how Nuno towards the end of the solo he shreds with the kick drum, it just sounded awesome. and its his specialty as rhythmic since he is originally a drummer.
Right on man! I’m in the same boat…became a fan (and started trying to Learn guitar) back with Pornografitti. 3rd side of III sides still my favorite piece of music maybe of all time.
I've seen them twice here in Australia. On the three sides tour, and again a few years ago touring with Mr Big. I also saw Nuno at a small venue here (the basement) as a three piece. Can't remember what band it was. (mourning widows maybe?) You're gonna have a blast!
@@godlessveteran2431try to go if you can. The band is great and the audience is always a lot of fun. We saw them in Anaheim and they sounded as good as they did 15 years ago.
I was one of those 20-something 80s chicks, who fell into the trap of only listening to softer gentler music, with maybe an occasional aussie pub rock classic after the odd Fluffy Duck... Now that I've grown up, and old, and my tastes have matured - a very good, neat 3 fingers of North American Whiskey, with a rock or two but never three, to sip on,,, I'm getting into some of the more lively stuff. I think I picked a great one to start off with!! This whole album is absofrigginlutely brilliant and it's on high rotation atm...I love the, what I now know as "vintage" Extreme, but there's also a couple of gentler numbers here as well. I've also become a fan of Australia's favourite ex-son-in-law, in the form of one Nuno Bettencourt... maaaate, can he rip or what?!? I don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe how much I love this album!! As someone who rarely goes to see live music - my wheels get in everyone's way, and I'm usually the oldest one there, if I'm honest,,, I can't wait to see these guys @ the Enmore in September...as we used to say in the old days, it's gonna go off!! 😁 🙃🐨🇦🇺
It's funny I just watched his Interview with Rick Beato and he talked about this at length. When people ask him how to approach writing a solo.. serving the song is key.

100%
👍 agree

He is still solid as a rock.

Excellent point!
Thanks for the props to 3 sides. Amazing underrated piece of really great work.

Wow! Thanks mate! I appreciate you watching. Glad you enjoyed it!

The video is perfect for the song ,
they learned lots from their favorite band , mine too since 74 .
Queen.
Very cool song, haven't heard of the band before but I'm going to look them up

Great review! I’ve always loved Extreme. This has to be Grammy worthy.
Great commentary. Good reaction. Imagine every song that I have heard so far from this new album is more than a pleasant surprise.I'm here for it.
I think you are totally right on your interpretation of the lyrics.
NB has got to be one of the most underrated players in the game right now. He has been a no limit SAVAGE since before 1990!
Yeah it's just crazy how good he was in the early 90s.
Right on man! I’m in the same boat…became a fan (and started trying to Learn guitar) back with Pornografitti. 3rd side of III sides still my favorite piece of music maybe of all time.
I Swear to Eddie at the end of the solo Nuno was pointing up to him...
Hopefully seeing them live for the first time in August. Been wanting to see them since 92 lol. I did see Gary with Van Halen, so that was cool.

Did you enjoy the show? I think we are going to hit them again on the third leg.
@@DesireeStamat sadly didn’t end up working out. I’ll have to take a look to see if they’re swinging back my way

Very intelligent commentary. Great justice for this video. Thank you for a great review
I appreciate you watching! I have loved Extreme since I was 14. Pornograffitti changed my life.
3 sides changed my life as a teen…. Glad I’m not the only one…. 30 years later and I am still shredding and producing music….
I had never heard anything like it.
Amazing tune. Long live hard rock! Very Dream Theater's 'Illumination Theory ', by the way.
I like that no one does extreme like extreme 😊

lets hear it!
Love it. Best commentary I have seen too.
Thanks mate!
Great analysis and insight.
Thanks Mike! Appreciate you watching mate!
“Serving the song”. Great insight. NUNO does it better on this album then ever before. Especially on Track #4 of the album
It's funny I just watched his Interview with Rick Beato and he talked about this at length. When people ask him how to approach writing a solo.. serving the song is key.
I love Extreme - hearts all round
Sounds like you might have missed their 2008 album Saudades De Rock. Not quite as aggressive as this album thus far, but still highly recommended.
I certainly did miss that. I will check it out! Thank you.
Comfortably Dumb is still a favorite. I was sad they did not play this one on their current tour. Loved Saudades!!!!
Black Cat by Janet Jackson. Listen to it...
Yeah. Amazing solo by a young Nuno!
If you set the speed at 0.5 or 0.75 you can hear wtf is 9:57 about
More than words...😅
