I just stumbled on this video and forget why I started watching the video... Your genuinity (not a real word) is fuckin awesome. Thanks for raw honesty, you saved me some money on a couple decks I have been eyeing. ASTRO DECK: Patch Tarot. This deck, however is more Golden Dawn and Toth based... and it is all cartoon drawings... And it gets *DEEP🦑* HOWEVER, each card has the astrological association with each card. But not every card has the astro symbol: eg. Page of wands only has fire sign on it, but the 2 of wands has both Mars and Aries on it. The book is only a downloadable pdf, and I wanted to print it on color paper... And it was going to be stupid expensive cuz it's hundreds of pages that break down all the elements of the deck. Though the artwork is light, cartoony (kinda hard for me to get past), the book is amazing for correspondences. The deck was published by Spirit Science.
The Numinous Astro Deck is a great beginner astrology study deck - I love it - it has the 12 zodiac signs, the planets (including ascending sign & the numinous /mystery, the 12 houses & then 6-7 astrological terms (trine, sextile, etc)

Yooooooo! I just had to pause the video and comment. So, you picked up the 4 of swords from the tarot of the divine, so I was working with this deck a few days ago and this card showed up reversed and I legit had to pause and be like waiiiiiit this is good in the reverse for this deck, it doesn’t mean the same thing as it does in the RW. Tarot of the divine is certainly a beautiful deck but it definitely demands you to be present and open to reinterpreting cards if required. I love this deck! ✨🌻
Hi, fellow Taurean! :) I just found your channel through YT recommendations. Subscribed! :) At the moment, the best affordable study deck, in my opinion, is the Heaven and Earth Tarot (mass market, available on Amazon) but the guidebook doesn't explain the esoteric stuff. However, for astrology, you can buy the Tarot and Astrology (book) by Kenner. The Tarot of Vampyres by Ian Daniels has the astrological associations depicted and the guidebook is great and explains the Kabbalah associations of the cards but, personally, I don't like the artwork. Benebell Wen's decks are also packed with symbols and she is about to release the 3rd version of her deck, her books are usually quite meaty and her Holistic Tarot touches pretty much every esoteric aspect. The New Era Elements Tarot is another affordable deck with astrological associations. Personally, I love the artwork but some people find certain cards triggering. Its booklet doesn't explain the astrological associations but it is quite okay for a small booklet. For the Medicine Woman Tarot, there is a separate book that is quite helpful if you decide to work with this deck. I still haven't but I remember thinking that the book was interesting. It's been a while though, so take it with a pinch of salt. :) Thank you for sharing! xx
@@StormieAtlantis Loool! You ask for it! :P I would get the Heave and Earth Tarot (because ...stunningly beautiful! And it has symbols even for the Cube of Space that I know nothing about!). I am not necessarily a fan of its keywords but I don't know any other deck that has both the astrological and tree of life information on it. (Btw the little numbers on the Majors show the position of the card in the Tree of Life and the top right symbol in the minors shows the Ruler planet of the corresponding sephiroth!cool!) For me, the best part, is that this deck uses classic correspondences that follow specific systems! Like you, when there are changes or whatever I want them to make sense or I can't take the deck seriously! :) Hope that helps to avoid the haul! loool

Great collection ! The pride tarot was a key down. The cards in there are actually part of whole decks. They didn't come up with original art but instead plucked cards from other decks.
I've also been looking for a tarot deck to learn astrology as well. Recently, I found the Golden Eclipse deck which is stunning and packed full of info on the decks. Unfortunately, it is a round deck and also extremely expensive (it's like 80 USD on pre-order, 100 regular plus it was gonna cost me 25 for shipping to Canada). If you've got the budget for it though, I recommend you check it out! I didn't end up buying it because of the price, but that didn't stop me from longingly gazing at it for a super long time.

I highly recommend getting the book that goes with Medicine Woman tarot. It helped me so deeply with my entire spiritual practice. With the book it’s an incredibly powerful deck. Edit: oh I see that others have mentioned that haha.
The heaven and earth tarot has astrology signs, element signs and planets with a keyword but done fine very nicely. The deck is cohesive and beautiful. I bought it for the sign symbolism. It's subtly done. I believe there is a thoth or crowley deck that has it as well. New sub, love your choices, description and honesty.

This was very informative and helpful, thank you for doing this. One thing I wanted to mention is that using the word “Eskimo” is pretty offensive to many indigenous people and is considered to be a slur. The woman depicted in the card is most likely Inuit or Yupik. Inuit is considered a more appropriate replacement for the term and is what most people use nowadays.
I'm with you - if you can't shuffle the deck, put it aside. I have some decks where the cards are so thick. I don't like that, so I rarely use them. I also have smaller hands, so I don't like the decks with larger cards. Thank you for this video!
Stormie - for Astro decks, I would love to suggest the NightSun Tarot, She Wolfe Tarot and Serpentfire Tarot. NightSun has a LWB but it has the symbols for Astro and elements on them. The other two have fantastic books and have such amazing perspectives in the images. Those helped me a lot for that particular journey. Also I can tell you vibe with RWS but the Thoth is a great tool for the astrological aspects. Much love and thank you for sharing!
I think these are all new suggestions that no one else has given me, so thank you for that, I'll look into them. I'll get to the Thoth system eventually, kind of waiting for divine timing on that one, It will show up when it does and then ill dig into it
Everything you have said about the decks are EXACTLY what I cant deal with too! I have short stubby baby hands, I love riffle shuffling but that Modern Witch card stock nearly broke me. I was so disappointed! I can't stand decks I have to read a guide book from. If it takes me a few months of studying the guidebook before I can throw some cards down on table and read it, the deck collects dust. For me, deal breaker. Loved this video!

The Medicine Woman does take some work and getting use to for sure. Yes, the artwork may not be greatest, but also have to remember time in which it was created. However, I have found that the key to this deck is the separate companion guidebook. It is so so so good. I like it even without the deck, but it definitely shifted my perspective on this deck. In my opinion it is only way to really get to know this deck.
I'm a little late but I just ordered the Liber T Tarot of the Stars Eternal to study the astrological correspondences on the minors. It states the correspondence on the card and the picture shows how that may be interpreted - i.e. the 5 of cups shows how she (Scorpio) does not like Mars in her house - its just too much! The other thing I did was printed and sticky taped the correspondence on a Albano Waite deck that I am using as a study deck. I also found Susan Chang's book named Tarot Correspondences to be excellent. Happy studying : ) p.s your video was hilarious!! I loved it!

I've been using the Medicine Woman Tarot for a bit. I picked up the Medicine Woman Tarot Guide Book and it's been a good resource. Highly recommend. Reading from this deck has deepened my understanding of Tarot in a big way.

You should get the Naked Heart Tarot!! It's beautiful and it has all of the astrological sign associations you're looking for and it shuffles beautifully..... I think you'll love it, I do!
Astrological Tarot - The Arcana Iris Sacra from Labyrinthos. I don’t own it (yet) so I can’t recommend it. But, it has the zodiac signs on the cards, and an app and website to explain them all, no physical book included, just a pamphlet with keywords I think. I do have the Claves Astrologicae which is its sister oracle/companion deck, which I absolutely love and is great to read using its system or as companion deck. The card stock is amazing, thick but kind of soft with that nice velvety matte finish. Definitely check them out.

I’m learning the crystals, which lead to tarot, which lead to astrology, etc etc etc, and whatnot. I had the same question on astrology cards and in one of my rabbit hole treks, I found the Black Moon Astrology cards in Amazon for $24. I’m connecting all the dots. Sat outside last full moon with my mason jar of water and my crystals and mini telescope to watch the beautiful bright moon. (a bottle of wine too...)🦄
I actually have that deck! It’s a great deck and it helps me to learn more about astrology. I’m hoping to find a tarot deck that correlates each card. For instance: my sun sign is Taurus, specially a decan 3 Taurus, which is associated with the 7 of pentacles. I want a tarot deck in which the seven of pentacles says “Taurus, decan 3” As for the UA-cam rabbit hole 🐇 🕳 and your journey. Totally get it, there’s so so so so much to learn and every time you learn something new you’ll realize 12 more things you don’t know haha. It’s a great path of infinite expansion. So I just watched your video. You should look into the Meta Muse tarot. I believe you will like it. The astrological aspect is on the cards. Very similar to Rider Waite. It has gold etching.

I watched your video carefully and it was very interesting, thank you. My personal opinion is that whatever I keep in my home must resonate with me, must be in tune with my being. I mean it must reflect my personal tastes. If I find something that takes away my harmony, that's certainly not the thing for me and this also applies to tarot cards. The communication between me and the outside world must be fluid and the same applies both with people and with objects, because I can adapt to a certain point and then no longer because I would no be myself. Like you I have particular tastes and I feel almost lucky, because 90% of the decks of cards on the market, I don't like them for different reasons, I could never feel them mine. I only have four, but one of them already doesn't drive me crazy . I am very careful in evaluating before buying a new deck of cards.

Have you thought about trying a side deck shuffle? i have short fingers too & for longer decks I shuffle them on the long sides rather than the ends. It is just as good & it allows me to use bigger decks.
I have modern witch tarot to learn from - learn meanings and what not, literally to study only with the journal. I don’t read with it for the same reasons you don’t like it:) I just bought Light Seers and the Mystical Shaman Oracle to prepare for shadow work. LOVE your channel 💕

And that is the name of the tarotset 😉 On the book there is no mention of the word tarot. No enchanted forest tarot. Instead, the book is called "your path through the enchanted forest". As that is what the book is about. There even is a spread of the day, with 2 cards. Who are you as you enter the forest (morning card), and who will I be when I get out of the forest (end of the day card, which you also can look at, at the same time as the morning card). And I read it at cars explaining as well, that it is about your path through this forest.... Just to help you understand that the book has it's own title 😁

ASTRO DECK: Patch Tarot. This deck, however is more Golden Dawn and Toth based... and it is all cartoon drawings... And it gets *DEEP🦑*
HOWEVER, each card has the astrological association with each card. But not every card has the astro symbol: eg. Page of wands only has fire sign on it, but the 2 of wands has both Mars and Aries on it.
The book is only a downloadable pdf, and I wanted to print it on color paper... And it was going to be stupid expensive cuz it's hundreds of pages that break down all the elements of the deck. Though the artwork is light, cartoony (kinda hard for me to get past), the book is amazing for correspondences. The deck was published by Spirit Science.
The Numinous Astro Deck is a great beginner astrology study deck - I love it - it has the 12 zodiac signs, the planets (including ascending sign & the numinous /mystery, the 12 houses & then 6-7 astrological terms (trine, sextile, etc)

I just had to pause the video and comment. So, you picked up the 4 of swords from the tarot of the divine, so I was working with this deck a few days ago and this card showed up reversed and I legit had to pause and be like waiiiiiit this is good in the reverse for this deck, it doesn’t mean the same thing as it does in the RW.
Tarot of the divine is certainly a beautiful deck but it definitely demands you to be present and open to reinterpreting cards if required. I love this deck! ✨🌻

At the moment, the best affordable study deck, in my opinion, is the Heaven and Earth Tarot (mass market, available on Amazon) but the guidebook doesn't explain the esoteric stuff. However, for astrology, you can buy the Tarot and Astrology (book) by Kenner. The Tarot of Vampyres by Ian Daniels has the astrological associations depicted and the guidebook is great and explains the Kabbalah associations of the cards but, personally, I don't like the artwork. Benebell Wen's decks are also packed with symbols and she is about to release the 3rd version of her deck, her books are usually quite meaty and her Holistic Tarot touches pretty much every esoteric aspect. The New Era Elements Tarot is another affordable deck with astrological associations. Personally, I love the artwork but some people find certain cards triggering. Its booklet doesn't explain the astrological associations but it is quite okay for a small booklet.
For the Medicine Woman Tarot, there is a separate book that is quite helpful if you decide to work with this deck. I still haven't but I remember thinking that the book was interesting. It's been a while though, so take it with a pinch of salt. :)

@@StormieAtlantis Loool! You ask for it! :P I would get the Heave and Earth Tarot (because ...stunningly beautiful! And it has symbols even for the Cube of Space that I know nothing about!). I am not necessarily a fan of its keywords but I don't know any other deck that has both the astrological and tree of life information on it. (Btw the little numbers on the Majors show the position of the card in the Tree of Life and the top right symbol in the minors shows the Ruler planet of the corresponding sephiroth!cool!) For me, the best part, is that this deck uses classic correspondences that follow specific systems! Like you, when there are changes or whatever I want them to make sense or I can't take the deck seriously! :) Hope that helps to avoid the haul! loool

Great collection ! The pride tarot was a key down. The cards in there are actually part of whole decks. They didn't come up with original art but instead plucked cards from other decks.

I've also been looking for a tarot deck to learn astrology as well. Recently, I found the Golden Eclipse deck which is stunning and packed full of info on the decks. Unfortunately, it is a round deck and also extremely expensive (it's like 80 USD on pre-order, 100 regular plus it was gonna cost me 25 for shipping to Canada). If you've got the budget for it though, I recommend you check it out! I didn't end up buying it because of the price, but that didn't stop me from longingly gazing at it for a super long time.
I'm so glad not to be the only one frustrated with the Modern Witch Tarot card stock.
Ive heard that if you get the... i want to say german edition, they use nicer stock, have no confirmed. in the mean time fuck em' lol

I highly recommend getting the book that goes with Medicine Woman tarot. It helped me so deeply with my entire spiritual practice. With the book it’s an incredibly powerful deck. Edit: oh I see that others have mentioned that haha.
The heaven and earth tarot has astrology signs, element signs and planets with a keyword but done fine very nicely. The deck is cohesive and beautiful. I bought it for the sign symbolism. It's subtly done. I believe there is a thoth or crowley deck that has it as well. New sub, love your choices, description and honesty.

One thing I wanted to mention is that using the word “Eskimo” is pretty offensive to many indigenous people and is considered to be a slur. The woman depicted in the card is most likely Inuit or Yupik. Inuit is considered a more appropriate replacement for the term and is what most people use nowadays.

I'm with you - if you can't shuffle the deck, put it aside. I have some decks where the cards are so thick. I don't like that, so I rarely use them. I also have smaller hands, so I don't like the decks with larger cards. Thank you for this video!
Stormie - for Astro decks, I would love to suggest the NightSun Tarot, She Wolfe Tarot and Serpentfire Tarot. NightSun has a LWB but it has the symbols for Astro and elements on them. The other two have fantastic books and have such amazing perspectives in the images. Those helped me a lot for that particular journey. Also I can tell you vibe with RWS but the Thoth is a great tool for the astrological aspects. Much love and thank you for sharing!

Everything you have said about the decks are EXACTLY what I cant deal with too! I have short stubby baby hands, I love riffle shuffling but that Modern Witch card stock nearly broke me. I was so disappointed! I can't stand decks I have to read a guide book from. If it takes me a few months of studying the guidebook before I can throw some cards down on table and read it, the deck collects dust. For me, deal breaker. Loved this video!

The Medicine Woman does take some work and getting use to for sure. Yes, the artwork may not be greatest, but also have to remember time in which it was created. However, I have found that the key to this deck is the separate companion guidebook. It is so so so good. I like it even without the deck, but it definitely shifted my perspective on this deck. In my opinion it is only way to really get to know this deck.

I'm a little late but I just ordered the Liber T Tarot of the Stars Eternal to study the astrological correspondences on the minors. It states the correspondence on the card and the picture shows how that may be interpreted - i.e. the 5 of cups shows how she (Scorpio) does not like Mars in her house - its just too much! The other thing I did was printed and sticky taped the correspondence on a Albano Waite deck that I am using as a study deck. I also found Susan Chang's book named Tarot Correspondences to be excellent. Happy studying : ) p.s your video was hilarious!! I loved it!

I've been using the Medicine Woman Tarot for a bit. I picked up the Medicine Woman Tarot Guide Book and it's been a good resource. Highly recommend. Reading from this deck has deepened my understanding of Tarot in a big way.

Astrological Tarot - The Arcana Iris Sacra from Labyrinthos. I don’t own it (yet) so I can’t recommend it. But, it has the zodiac signs on the cards, and an app and website to explain them all, no physical book included, just a pamphlet with keywords I think. I do have the Claves Astrologicae which is its sister oracle/companion deck, which I absolutely love and is great to read using its system or as companion deck. The card stock is amazing, thick but kind of soft with that nice velvety matte finish. Definitely check them out.

I’m learning the crystals, which lead to tarot, which lead to astrology, etc etc etc, and whatnot. I had the same question on astrology cards and in one of my rabbit hole treks, I found the Black Moon Astrology cards in Amazon for $24. I’m connecting all the dots. Sat outside last full moon with my mason jar of water and my crystals and mini telescope to watch the beautiful bright moon. (a bottle of wine too...)🦄
I actually have that deck! It’s a great deck and it helps me to learn more about astrology. I’m hoping to find a tarot deck that correlates each card. For instance: my sun sign is Taurus, specially a decan 3 Taurus, which is associated with the 7 of pentacles. I want a tarot deck in which the seven of pentacles says “Taurus, decan 3”

So I just watched your video. You should look into the Meta Muse tarot. I believe you will like it. The astrological aspect is on the cards. Very similar to Rider Waite. It has gold etching.

This video is a year old but you asked about a good deck with astrological associations and I was wondering if you have seen the heavenly bodies astrology cards by Lily Ashwell? They are like $30’on Amazon and are I think what you might enjoy for learning those associations.

My personal opinion is that whatever I keep in my home must resonate with me, must be in tune with my being. I mean it must reflect my personal tastes. If I find something that takes away my harmony, that's certainly not the thing for me and this also applies to tarot cards. The communication between me and the outside world must be fluid and the same applies both with people and with objects, because I can adapt to a certain point and then no longer because I would no be myself.
Like you I have particular tastes and I feel almost lucky, because 90% of the decks of cards on the market, I don't like them for different reasons, I could never feel them mine. I only have four, but one of them already doesn't drive me crazy . I am very careful in evaluating before buying a new deck of cards.

Have you thought about trying a side deck shuffle? i have short fingers too & for longer decks I shuffle them on the long sides rather than the ends. It is just as good & it allows me to use bigger decks.
I've tried to side shuffle and I dont like it, feels too unnatural to me. Ill just keep bing a picking asshole instead haha

And that is the name of the tarotset 😉 On the book there is no mention of the word tarot. No enchanted forest tarot. Instead, the book is called "your path through the enchanted forest". As that is what the book is about. There even is a spread of the day, with 2 cards. Who are you as you enter the forest (morning card), and who will I be when I get out of the forest (end of the day card, which you also can look at, at the same time as the morning card). And I read it at cars explaining as well, that it is about your path through this forest.... Just to help you understand that the book has it's own title 😁
You know, the first time I used it after I filmed this I actually understood the book title for the first time, and fuuuuuuuck did i feel stupid. Thats what I get for talking shit haha. To make matters worse the author actually left me a comment about it (which i also failed to notice initially)I was ignorant, I paid for it lol.
