My car had this code and could not get rid of it. Have the actuators changed the solenoids and a couple sensors. I’ve spent over two grand the last month trying to get this code to go away after watching this I remembered I had changed the oil not too long before I started having issues so I change the oil again only to find out that my filter was broke right where that spring goes so it may have possibly been halfway up causing issues
Change your oil first. Specifically I used 1qt of Lucas oil stabilizer, 3.5qts Castrol Edge 5w-30, and a Fram synthetic oil filter. CEL went out upon startup. Cleared the P0011 code, all monitors are ready, and haven’t had an issue since. Engine sounds much happier now.
pulled the spring. my veh still had only 10psi @ idle hot which is exactly what it had prior to pulling the spring. great info though. thanks. i'll put an oil pump in this one. if that doesn't fix the pressure issue, it gets an engine.
Did this end up working for you, im just curious because I believe that valve should be closed by the oil filter at all times and only pops up when changing the filter to allow fluid to drain down to the pan.... any reply would be great as im struggling with the same issue and it seems to act up only hott and at idle
I think the same thing I’ve had this problem for a month and spent over two grand replacing parts decided to do another oil change because I did one prior to having the issues and noticed my filter was broke right where that spring goes so maybe that was the culprit I’ll drive for a while and see if the light comes on🤷🏻♂️ it was on and off randomly

Ive replaced all of those parts and even replaced the VVT timing sproket and water pump and still have this stupid P0011 error. Im gonna try this ASAP. Crossing my fingers this is the problem
Brother you may have found me an answer. Got a 15 cruze, been trying to get rid of that code for days. Same scenario, replaced everything, even the cam actuators, timing belt
Question was the car jerking when it was hot?like it wants to turn off.cause mine is doing the same thing but it’s starts jerking when it’s hot.. thanks
Have you checked actual oil pressure with a gauge at the sensor and the back of the head? If your oil pressure is still low when you are just off idle you have a weak pump

I thought the same thing but when I got it out I can't remember what it was that changed my mind but yes the car is still good after doing this

Was the car over heating at all before? rough start? mine has been doing this recently was thinking of changing the sprockets but this might work
@@jarrwf no the car drove normal in all aspects besides the check engine light being on
Did not work for.me. i removed the spring . Cleared code and came back after a few miles

I’m in the same position right now I’ve replaced everything my light keeps coming and going with the same code

I know this is a older video but that little value just pull out or does it twist out or lock in

I did everything timing chain etc all solenoids etc so I tried taking out spring still code p0011
Have you checked actual oil pressure with a gauge at the sensor and the back of the head? If your oil pressure is still low when you are just off idle you have a weak pump
I’m in the same boat I have changed everything the light comes and goes with the same code
