Being able to monitor a camera’s video feed on an external screen while also having full control of the camera’s settings with the same device is still rather uncommon. Portkeys was the first brand to fully make use of this with the BM7 II DS and now also offers a more affordable version. The LH7P is an HDMI monitor and has a 7” screen with a 1080p resolution and a max. brightness of 1000nits. Wireless control of camera settings such as recording, color temperature, focus, zoom and ISO is supported with a variety of camera models from Sony, Blackmagic Design and others.

Ja, genau. Das ist einer der typtischen Anwendungsfälle, man kann man besser zusammen schauen oder eben auch aus etwas Enfernung zum eigentlichen Kamerabildschirm

Der Bildschirm ist sehr hilfreich für unsere Videodokumentationen im Betrieb, auf dem kleinen Kameradisplay sieht man oft nicht alles

the OS looks much better than what my old feelworld monitor has to offer I probably should switch sooner than later

Seems like false color is the ultimate standard these day, I remember when I started out and asked a fellow student what false color was and he thought it was setting the wrong white balance in-camera

Ich habe jetzt mal beide eurer Videos geguckt und muss sagen der BM7IIDS hat für meinen Geschmack die bessere Benutzeroberfläche.
Die Verzögerung ist für mich ein bisschen zu stark aber ansonsten macht der einen guten Eindruck. Vielen Dank für den Review!

Gotta handed to Portkeys for the interface the WB presets look better than the in-camera stuff from Sony.
Looks like it pairs well with the Alpha 7S but why isn't the ZV-E1 supported I mean they are pretty much identical in terms of hard and software??
LH7P can control ZVE1, but the parameters that can be controlled need to be tested. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Für mich stellt sich eher die Frage, warum das bei anderen Marken noch nicht der Standard ist.
I would like this just for Touch Focus Tracking, does it work well on the A7IV and is there a lot of disconnects since it is through Bluetooth I imagine?
Hi, LH7P can work well with A7M4 and touch focus with A7M4 via wifi.
I have spoken with Portkeys... They have No Option to Control Canon R5c
they used to have but the Update lost all connection to Canon R5c...

Are you running the new firmware on the a7s3? I cannot get mine to trigger rec from the monitor after the new firmware update on the a7s3.
if i didnt count incorrectly you used at least 3 different HDMI cables in this video =) thats some proper testing

hi, I have the problem that once I have connected the monitor and switch off the camera, the PC network connection automatically switches off again, which means I have to go into the settings every time and switch on the PC control and connect the camera to the monitor again connect. Do you have a solution to the problem?

1000 Nit ist grenzwertig für Außendrehs aber in dem Preissegment darf man wohl nicht meckern. Vielleicht hole ich mir dann doch lieber einen gebrauchten BM72DS.
What I don't get is why manufacturers don't put USB-C power inputs in these? So much more convenient.

Joa, sieht so aus als wäre die Verzögerung beim Tippen doch etwas auffällig 🤷♂ aber den Monitor wird wohl auch keiner für Hollywood-Produktionen einsetzen.
The latency is caused by a variety of factors. If you're referring to camera control latency, the delay time is up to the camera's responsiveness. The faster the camera responds, the shorter the delay will be.
Da zeigt sich mal wieder, dass die Sony Fanboys doch recht hatten. Wird wohl Zeit für 'ne A7S3 :-)
Haha das Ding kostet genauso viel wie mein Atomos aber hat viel bessere Features...
