When I first heard this song the tears streamed down my face because it reminded me of when I was bullied, thank you for writing a song that reminds me that I can be strong despite the challenges thrown at me.

I feel deeply for anyone in that situation. I've been there at times. If only someone could show genuine kindness toward every person who is bullied. The Holy Ghost provides the most incredible comfort, and thankfully the Spirit helped me to learn that it didn't matter what people said or thought about me. Since I started to understand and recognize the Spirit more in High School, I have relied on it ever since to provide comfort, and hope through every life experience. Remember, we have the promise of the Spirit being a constant companion as long as we keep the commandments, and always remember(and defend) our Saviour.
It brings back difficult memories that it seems like I’ve been running from my whole life. Luckily I was able to move away from that situation, but you can’t run from memories. Thankfully I have felt God’s love, and have had my life changed. I hope that everyone who feels like the world is against them will pray for the knowledge of how much God loves them. I know he loves us all more than we can comprehend!

Reminds me of a line from the hymn "Lord I would follow thee" that says, 'in the quiet heart is hidden sorrow that the eye can't see.' How much more powerful to love and lift than to tear down. Great song!

I'm atheist now however, I will say when I used to be in youth (Ex LDS Mormon here) I used to listen to this song on repeat when I was struggling with Self harm and suicidal thoughts and it would calm me. I still listen to this song and each time it gets me because it reminds me of when I was struggling and how much I wanted to change.
I'm glad this song helped calm you your loved more than you know.

This hits home I was bullied in school due to skin issues but in the end I won...as one put it to me The ugly duckling turned into a swan...now my kids are being bullied..why are kids and even adults so cruel...words cut deeper than any knife...I wrote a song called Change...and I still write music that means something to me I'm no Professional singer but I try..lol Beautifully done.....touches the soul..God Bless

these days some of them don't even know it's wrong to bully people. During childhood they're growing observing all the bad behaviour they see from entertainment and those around them. Since people don't act bothered the children are deceived to see it as normal behaviour.
At the start of the 21st century people lost their moral framework and the young adults became self-floating individuals with their selfish view of morality, it then influenced adults and children.
A sociologist asked young adults about right and wrong, most interviewees responded with answers like, "it felt right at the time", "I don't deal with right or wrong often", "it makes me happy so it must be right".
Those who no longer have a shared moral framework like religions act upon what feels right rather than principles.

I am not in my youth anymore, for many years. But this song is one of the most meaningful songs I have EVER heard! I was bullied as a child and somewhat even as an adult and it hurts deeply. It's hard to get over. I'm sorry for anyone who is going through this or who has. I was bullied every day by many kids. Tears fill my eyes every time I see this. I know Anna Richey's message is true! We don't suffer alone and Christ is always with us even if the pain stays. Never give up on Him who is always with you....even and especially at the times you feel abandoned. He knows exactly what you are going through! Much love to those suffering!

I don't know about anyone else but I have suffered from bulling my entire life and and it hurt so much knowing someone could hurt someone else in such a way and treat them as less, and the entire time i knew everyone is important in the sight of god, and I became closer to christ as I prayed and tried forgive those who hurt me. As I grew closer to god I stopped caring about the mean things people said or did to me and I started to look out for others like me and I befriended them and helped them through the hard time. I love this song and for anyone who is suffering from bulling remember you are important to god! God loves you!

This song touches me so much. I know what it is like to feel so broken and unloved. It is great to know there is some one who is always there to turn to.
