Love your and @Scotland's Mountains' videos. What are your thoughts on the Scarp 1? Thinking of picking a Scarp 2 for some hiking in Iceland, but hard to find anyone with first hand experience.
@@icewallow2611 Sorry just seen message. Not a fan of the Scarp myself although it is good for taking pictures of. Prefer the MSR Access range and the Access 2 is my favourite. Hope you have a great time in Iceland.
Ray just another fantastic video, I just can't wait to go out in the mountains and the snow, awe inspiring. It is great to see my 2 favourite Scottish wild mountain campers working together as a duo. Already watched the other video and this just compliments it with your own unique way of telling the adventure!
Had to go back and say to them, however after going back they where actually going to the summit, lol. Yeh, waiting to hear but it would be for up to 2 years. Catch up later.
Sinclair and I wish you all the very best...i bet you're back visiting before you know it...too beautiful to leave..great footage as always.. take care 🤗
another great vid Ray, all your content is real world, which has a lovely genuine element of presentation.. love it, looking forward to more winter challenges.... J.
Really enjoyed that little trip. Well put together 👍 great to see someone wearing a RIBZ frontpack. I've had one for a few years and even though it's heavy for the volume, it's a great friend on trips that need efficiency. Subscribed 👍👍 Sithee 😉
Them odd things Ray do move in and out and across. I have encountered one come within 25 meters of me. My dog stood rock still and wouldn't move. It left and then she relaxed and came. Yeah bizarre. It was a cracking time out. Perfect almost! Well, all the best with coming down South - another adventure. Mark
Cheers mate. It was a strange experience and we went throuigh everything it could be and nothing fit the bill so to say. Atb and maybe meet in my travels.
@@RS.Outdoors A pleasure Ray. It looked great up there. Not sure where you are in the South but if it's anywhere near the borders of Wales then we may meet. That would be great. Peace!
Another great video...wonderful shots and I was wondering if you ever saw UFOs or anything odd or unexplained as I figured you probably must have. Question answered.
Whisky & Rum? I reckon Canadian Club is a whisky/rum mix. Some lovely photos in there ⛺️😎👍 You're quite right to have the 'safety talk' in there, I'm not a hiking poles kinda fellah, but if the terrain is significantly sketchy - poles it will be. The crampons don't weigh much so taking them's a no-brainer when there's snow & ice. All it takes is one icy slip to stuff you up... and if you do survive it & raise the alarm....you'll be remembered as that tosser who endangered the rescue teams and had to be helicoptered off the mountain 😬. Nobody with an ounce of self-respect wants to be that guy!!
What a beautiful location! I'm always impressed with how you capture it all on video and try to envisage if I could do the same 😊. I'm guessing you have a good wide angle lens. Atb Jonathan
I need to move to Scotland! We are in the Cairngorms this Summer (subject to current situation) but you can't beat Scotland in my opinion. Love Glen Coe! Great film!
be a real shame to see u go ray , Love every vlog you do from the photography to the wild camping around my local haunt glencoe but im sure you'll keep up the good work down south . Ian

Really like your videos man. I've been up this way many times but never hiked up the hills or camped. I really fancy camping up Glencoe next year. Would you recommend this spot for a beginner?
Cracking work again. Don't forget, the money you make down south wont be much use when you're bones are too old to make these types of wild camps. Life comes at you fast. Take care.
Oh tell me about it. The move needs to be done for my long term career. It is a stop gap position and either that or job centre. Thanks for watching and Atb.
I'm sure you are much more of an expert at this sort of thing than I am so I have a question. I'm just surprised that you sleep in your bag with all your warm kit on. Have you ever tried taking all the warm kit off and going to bed? I think you will be just as warm and more comfortable. Leaving the warm kit on doesn't allow the sleeping bag to do it's job properly because the body heat is all trapped inside your clothing. I've slept in a pretty Rubbish sleeping bag at -7 degrees Celsius before in just my boxers and was okay.
Would agree with your comment about going to bed with base layer on. However sometimes as a photographer I usually have alarm set for different key points during the night for astro shots so dont want to be taking clothes on and off all during the night :) if you know what I mean. Usually only get a two or three hours sleep than up again. Atb
Out for another overnight backpacking, wild camping and landscape photography trip to Glencoe, Scotland.

Decathlon pillow has got to be the best camping pillow ever
I agree with Murray, let them follow you up. 😙 Looked a good night to be out, gutted I missed it. I thought it was only a year you were away too. 😬

Get yourself over to the Brecon Beacons. Not Scotland but still a great place and some cracking wild camping spots!
