Thank you for taking the time to redo tutorial for AtS, it helps alot after all the changes that was made throughout the updates. Just to point out that you should set your woodcutters to "chop down marked trees only", that way you could control their erratic small tree cutting.
I did use that treecutter setting in the past, but was too often forgetting tree designations for my own good. So I prefer them doing sometimes wrong things over not doing anything at all because my attention was elsewhere.
Re: losing people during the storm, had you setup a rainpunk drill and rain engine, you could have setup somewhere with +10 resolve and avoid the situation. Losing a couple people however was no big deal at that stage. Cheers.

Ah, thanks for reminding me about the rainpunk. I even unlocked it before the colony, duh ^^
