It's interesting that 50.8mm is so common a length for barrels. That measurement happens to equal the same 2 inches that was the predominant barrel length before the UK and the darts industry was fully metricated. I have to believe the two-inch figure was more about convenience for manufacturers than for a common ideal length. Tungsten is such a dense material that it seems like darts players who like straight barrels could gain some benefit by a using a shorter barrel length. However, straight tungsten barrels that measure less than 50mm are hard to find. Old habits are apparently quite difficult to break.

I have the new blue version they are really nice darts, the front of the barrel is really grippy and it's where I hold my darts so get on really well with them 👍🎯💯

I thought that as well. When I measured them for the first time I had to double check my calipers to make sure they were zeroed out. I just figured that a 24g barrel would be a bit longer. Ya know, now that I think about it, the dimensions are REALLY small for a 24g barrel. Go have a look at other 90% tungsten straight barrel darts that weigh 24 grams. They're ALL much bigger. It makes me wonder if these are actually 95% tungsten. Red Dragon has been known to be wrong about their tungsten content in the past.
Going off topic a second, I was on dartshopper checking the new unicorn collection, and I wanted to buy some james wade soft tip darts for my next matches at the pub, but I noticed they made all soft tips 70% tungsten, why would they do that? And what does that mean for the dart itself?
That is probably because soft tip darts are not allowed to have a weight of ober 20g. Since tungsten is a relatively heavy metal a higher tungsten percentage would cause the dart to be really thin because it still needs to weigh under 20g. So other lighter metals are also used to make the dart lighter than steel tip darts but allow them to have both of them the same diameter. Thus in conclusion they did this to ensure the same barrel size when also ensuring a lighter weight.
I'm not much into hyping player darts after they win something. These are the most simple darts that exists, you can get something similar for 10 bucks.
True but there are a TON of collectors out there. Remember, I try to cover ALL aspects of darts. Soft tip darts, player darts, affordable darts, collector darts and other oddball videos. Someone out there probably really wants this set

I collected a lot of darts in the past and caught myself doing such things, and afterwards regret spending the money and reselling the darts for a big loss. I hope some actual Hendo fans will get a chance to buy these.

I think it's amazing. I'm really surprised at how quiet it is. It has a very satisfying thunk when the darts hit the board.

Dont know why but these darts are not supplied with stems and flights which Hendo use .
This is an older set but I think the newer ones come with it.
