Very cool! I've owned the V1, the Terminal, and the Pro over the years. They all have their perks - Terminal is so small and handy, V1/V2 has that unique octagon shape which works great in some scenarios and not so great in others lol, and the pro is definitely a bit tidier for desktop/perma-install setups for sure. I say if you get the Pro, keep the V2 around before selling and just feel it out. Same outcomes but definitely different setups and you never know which you may end up preferring in the end! =)
this was a great demo! a complex signal path can be difficult to wrap your head around (esp. in short videos), so it's super helpful to demo like you did by building a relatively simple patch from scratch.
Thank you! Totally :) I always get confused when it comes to sending and returning, out and in, but when you patch the return you’re sending it elsewhere so it’s a send of a return!?!?? Haha 😆 I left my misstep in the video because it really is easiest (to me) to just gut the whole thing and start over, esp in this case since I just set it up for the shoot. I’m sure once things become muscle memory and you use it a while it’ll be much smoother sailing haha 😆
Thank you! Not that I’ve noticed but YMMV. It’s a sturdy metal box so I think there is good shielding going on, and when you think about it it’s basically acting as a cable adapter / joiner would, so it should be pretty transparent, but I’d say you should pick one up from somewhere that has a generous return policy and just try it in-situ ;)
Yeah, that’s a little bit of a shame, you could put it on a channel you mute on a mixer or have some momentary mutes in line from it that you press to silent switch, a workaround but maybe not the most ideal…
Love to see the Patchulator line getting some Synth attention! I use the V2 in my setup and would love to add the Pro someday.

@@Duskmos Good advice!

Would really have like more pictures of the ins and outs of the patchulator AND pedals earlier on. Maybe a diagram showing connections?
Hope my video helped a little anyway :) thanks for the feedback!
Great vid! I’m thinking about getting one of these for my studio. Have you experienced any additional signal noise from the patchulator?

you hear a click when you switch the output source 3 way switch :( not useable live too bad
