I just got back from Purgatory a few days ago....and I already miss it! :) There wasn't as much snow as in your video (in late Feb '24 for me), but it was still great! Bluebird days made the views spectacular! if you're intermediate, you don't have to worry...just go to the back of the mountain to get to the better ski conditions and to get away from the ski schools. It's a little icy in the mornings on the backside blacks tho, so be prepared...they're better by like 9 or 10. Excellent ski school program at Purgatory tho, on the frontside. Not too busy either for the weekend...maybe a 10 minute wait on the lifts, but mostly walkup. Frontside lift wait time is longer... at the bottom. Paid like $110 a day for lift ticket per...can't beat that for a three day'er! Durango is a cool town too, so good stuff to do at night as well! Thanks for uploading this! :)
Nice. My childhood hill (I’m 62). Since you have a Nordic ski jumper as your logo? Not so fun fact: that run called “Gelande” was actually an iconic 70-meter Nordic Jump b4 it became desecrated and wrongly named. was on the Jr. Natz Nordic Combined Team… Durango actually had 6 Nordic jumps in my day. Now? 0. Keep skiing!🙏🏾❄
I really like Copper a bunch. Think i might get over to your stomping grounds at Crested Butte this year. I haven't hit the Butte in 38 years and you do such a great job showing that mountain off it's got me stoked to get back and see all the new terrain. Thanks!

Purgatory is the first place i ever skied and its amazing
You ski how I ski (aggression level and type of lines). Think I can save my family $1000/day by watching your vids.
Learned to ski there back in the 80’s. Happy memories!
MY NICKNAME FOR THIS GUY IS "FLAMINGO JOE"
you got some legs to ski the tree line. its intense skiing. you must have workout out to keep the legs strong for the first day.

That’s too bad there is no more of them, we used to have a few out here in Gunnison/ Crested Butte

On my days off ima check out the Wolf!

Been enjoying your videos and learning a lot. What length skis are you on in this video. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great videos!
Basically your ski specs haha, those skis have been doing it all.
I was going to ask the same question. What length and width do you ride?
