I'd like to see it lit up sometime. I'm making canes to go into my first kaleidoscope cane and this leaf cane will be another one of yours I will include. Love your succinct, no-nonsense approach to PC and all of the tips you provide on basics like putting a Skinner blend through the pasta machine. The results of this tutorial are so beautiful that I'm eager to try this.

I am going to make fairy houses for my niece’s birthday and will be sure to use this cane. I have literally just finished editing a new video showing how to make the little toadstools that are at the bottom of the big fairy house. I will be uploading it in the next day or two ;) Sadly the houses themselves would be too long and complicated to do as a UA-cam tutorial. Wow I really love this! I do t think I have heard of the color you used for the veins in the leaf. Can you spell it? Never mind. I went back and saw the name is pomegranate. My mouth fell open when I saw your toadstool house!!! I can not believe this is only your second one!!! This would take me forever but it would be so worth it!! Did you use an empty jar? How did you do the Windows?? Mind blowing!
Thanks Missi. The house is made with a jar on the bottom. The lid is still attached, so that part comes off and a battery light can be popped inside. The second part is made from polymer covered wire mesh, and is attached to the jar lid. Finally the cap of the toadstool is also removable, and a second battery light can be popped inside there, The windows are painted with glass paint, in the bottom level, and on translucent clay in the second story. :)
I am actually right handed Sabina, but I prefer to turn the handle with my left hand, which leaves my better, right hand, to manipulate the clay as it goes through the machine ;) The pasta machine I use is an Atlas machine, at home I use the 180 (a wider machine) and when travelling or on workshops, I use the 150. I have always used the Atlas machines and I find them very good for Polymer Clay. However, there are other very good makes, such as the Imperia machines, and of course those made specifically for use with Polymer Clay. Ginger Davis Allman, from The Blue Bottle Tree has a number of articles on Pasta Machines - thebluebottletree.com/?s=pasta+machines which may prove helpful in choosing a machine. Here is a link to an Atlas machine, (for reference only, as obviously there are many other places both online, and in stores where they can be found), and it is worth searching around till you can find a good deal on one.
