Hi there am not from Africa but I enjoyed the video and I saw something there I like please contact me on Facebook messenger Daveellis Taylor that's my name on Facebook
I'm looking forward to the Gambia. Prince Albert market, London bridge , and all the beautiful people in the Gambia I love it. Thanks sis for another awesome 👌 video.
The guide is so funny, please call him again🤣🤣🤣 He really have that Gambian sense of humour. When he said “ when we are depressed we eat rice 2 times everyday ” 😭
You would have found him lot funnier had you gotten an idea of what he was saying when he switched in wolof (one of the local language we share as a senegalese). This dude is hilarious and authentic!! Walk good brotherman!
May God bless the heart of the lady that gave you bangle. Very generous of her. The market is not busy and no patronage. Gambia is beautiful and needs lot of people.
Watching you from California, I love your Gambia tour guide, he was absolutely awesome and very knowledgeable of what he was doing. Your show is amazingly nice and very educational to all Africans 🙏🏾👍🏿👏🏾🥰.
I'm Panamanian. I recognize most of this food items (tamarind, sorrel, couscous, okra). This guy is hype. Makes me want to buy everythings, sales skills are on point.
The tour guide is very good and well knowledgeable. This is very interesting especially the information from the market guides. Gambia has very high potential from natural medicines. ❤❤❤❤❤🇳🇬
Please Please My African Sisters and Brothers. We must keep these skills and continue to pass to generations to come. Such a collection of talents. All this talent in the Market..I love it 😊
Woow awesome. Takes me down memory Lane at school in Lagos. That blue. A teaspoon in the water for rinsing after washing my whites (PE uniform) makes whites pure white! 👏👏
I hope you got it when he showed you the miniature Kora. The famous Sona Jobarteh is Gambian. She performs with theKora world wide. It’s her signature on The Arrivals UA-cam channel.
@ Don't buy meat (dead flesh) if it repels flies; an indicator of chemicals' free meat. So you see, all those flashy glitzy "cleaned up" markets may hide some sickly secrets; make you wanna run to these "dirty" markets instead. 'Is u LISTENIN" - JT 2021.

I did enjoy this video I was amazed to see how long the video was it's a documentary, that's the best tour guide I have ever seen very informative the video was awesome I was watching a movie I did enjoy this video amazing story 👏🏿👍🏿❤
Thank you Tigress, this Gambian market tour was certainly a lot more pleasant than the Guinea Bissau fish market tour. Your tour guide had a personality bigger & brighter than Zimbabwean sun in winter (by the way Zim's winter sun is bright enough). 👍
I am in Florida but I would love to know how I can buy some of the art in the market to support the artists in the craft they do. It's all so beautiful. I love this market.
I was wandering the same thing. As I want some drums and balafon musical instruments. I think the best way would be to get to Gambia myself or communicate with The Happy Companion or a trusted friend in the Gambia. It looks as if African Tigress visited the Royal Albert Market later in the day when(Fresh meat market sold out) It would have been much busier & hectic if she had visited earlier in the day.
I am glad you have a local guiding you around. It makes a whole lots of difference. I hope you go back to Senegal and have local Senegalese touring you around Senegal. Senegal has the largest mosque in Africa in the Touba. The particularity of that Mosque is that it is owned by the followers of Cheikh Amadou Bamba. Their version of Islam is a totally Africanized version of Islam. They do their Pilgrimage in their own Holly city in Touba Senegal instead of Mecca. I would like to see you visit Touba and the Baye Fall community and tell their story from one of them. You learn so much from the locals.

Thank you very much for this clip. I really need it as I am visiting The Gambia next week. I have been thinking how to visit market. This will help a great deal 👍🏽
Nice video and a very nice market. Big up. The only thing I would say that going forward it is time for us to rename our streets/markets/places/building etc... with our African/local heroes and move away from colonial names.
I remember the iron the guy was ironing with i use to iron with it in the Caribbean in the 80's wow i did not think i would see this again and your guide is funny 💥💖
I will love to visit Royal Albert Market in Banjul, The Gambia. The market really had a great cultures & traditions lasted for many years in The Gambia 2021!
African Tigress The guy who made leather sandals, slippers made me wish I was there buying from him African goods are beautiful. African people should buy their own goods
Thank you very much for this clip. I really need it as I am visiting The Gambia next week. I have been thinking how to visit market. This will help a great deal
The tour guide did his best, but I believe you could have got more information if you did the interview by yourself. For a example the iron lady who goes far away from the Gambia to go attain fair trade at other African countries. You could have asked her about the difficulties on her way like broader crossing did she needs visa to enter some countries, things like that. But again much love to you and enjoy your visit.
His way of pronunciation may not translate the real accent of gambia. He is just a tour guide and half educated. But the guy is really good. I love his energy
Asante sana dada. Kwa kweli nimefurahia Sana ziara yako nchini Gambia na kufika katika soko kuu la Albert na kujione bidhaa kedekede zinazopatikana huko. Much love from United Republic of Tanzania.
Another interesting and educative episode, some of us are not just watching for the sake of just watching, watching this program through your lenses is very much educating us. Your guide made a very important, salient point, our colonial masters were just suppressing us with their policies, policies that would forever keep us down, subservient, supplying them with our raw material resources, whiles turning these resources round and selling them back to us at at very high prices. So as your guide said, goods from our traditional colonial masters are expensive compared to those from China, the middle eastern countries and the south east asian nations, it's time Africans unite and begin adding value to our natural resources. Any way we need to keep eye on China
