The solid mahogany body features a two-piece plain maple top and Double Gold finish. A special VOS (Vintage Original Specs) finish gives the guitar the authentic look and feel of the originals. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two frets (Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall) is glued to the mahogany neck. Position blocks (Aged Cellulose Nitrate Trapezoid) facilitate orientation across the fingerboard surface.
The sound of the instrument is provided by two Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers. Two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Stable tuning is ensured by the attachment of the strings in the Kluson Single Line mechanics and through the ABR-1 bridge in the stringer. The period authenticity is underlined by all the materials/components used and their workmanship.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
