I ordered the 9 piece Pearl Export set in the color #60 Yellow Flash in 1991 and still have it. I also had an early 90's 5 piece set in Gold that I sold to a friend to put in his recording studio. And being a Pearl player I indeed have a Joey Jordison snare with the Slipknot insignia on it. It is my go to snare and our sound guy loves it.
I love that snare! I'll be giving mine a long overdue full makeover very soon.

Awesome stuff....I've been obsessed with the Joey Jordison snare and have been curious about the Pearl Export kits also. I am new to drumming so I started with the Pearl Roadshow, is there a big quality difference In the Pearl Export series??? Also would my kit sounds better with new heads or does the cheaper shell construction have more to do with sound? Thanks..
I'm glad you liked the video. My Export kit is about 20 years old now, and I'm sure things have changed with the new versions. It's a great mid-level kit, but it can be hard to tune sometimes. I do think that new heads will make a huge difference. Good heads with decent tuning can make almost any drum sound pretty good.

I've only ever used the 300's. I'll probably give the 500 a try when I overhaul this snare in a future video.

My favorite joey song not that it's fast or entrequett mostly groove was spit it out, left behind, or my plague.
Left Behind was my favorite from the Iowa album.
Maybe you can play more lightly when you do the sound test to do a real asmr.😇🙏
