Two great men and leaders. Man, do we need guys like these today. These guys are examples of people who actually were concerned and cared about the US of A and our standing in the world. Nowadays, it's all about the money, some fame, and finally cashing out.
Lee made some of the best choices, the one that i feel was one of the worst was stepping down and putting that piece of work Eaton from GM Europe! Bob Lutz should have taken Lee's place, this all lead to daimler taking control. Chrysler leading up made more money under Lee and the team, should have bought the kraut kars out instead!
You know, I'm not sure that Iacocca even voted for Reagan in 1980, considering he was a Democrat, and had owed a lot to Carter, who granted loan guarantees to the company. Iacocca was even considered to run for president in 1988. Imagine he or Trump succeeded Reagan.

Great men of our country! Including mostly the auto workers.

I wish you hadn't cut Iacocca's comments.
They don't make Men like this anymore. 2 superb human beings
Sadly, this plant shuttered in 2008. 900 workers were laid off.
Why did they close this plant didn't they make some of the Dodge Rams there?

Lutz should've gotten the job. Bad choice killed Chrysler
When leadership actually cared. Its so sad what has happened to us as a nation.
This was America's Peak, we've been on the falling action side ever since And now we're in a Chinese Ditch.

Now foreign non union automakers in the South dominate the industry.
Two of the worlds greatest icons of the 80s under one roof at one time all they had had was Peter UberRoth and it would be complete
Pretty amazing stuff
Both good people vs what we have today
