Fairfeild, High Pike and Low Pike and into Ambleside is the end of the first 30miles of the Lakes in a Day 50 ultra marathon (starts in Calderbeck and finishes in Cartmel). It’s quite a significant bit on the route as it marks the “final descent”. By that point, I’m normally questioning my life choices and not paying attention to much outside my footprint. It marks the last bit of the fells before the “easy” 20 miles around Windermere and into Cartmel. Nice to revisit it, thank you.
Nice one mate, would have liked to spend some more time on the top of Fairfield but the weather was awful!! Do you use anything for your camera to lessen the sound of the wind??
Grand day out and nice finish in the pub.
New tech for the Go Pro seemed to work a treat!
Hopefully you can forgive the slight editorial oversight around the 3:30 mark where the music comes in a bit too early 🙈
Great walk guys, did this back in 2008 in the snow and it was fun
Snow would have been preferable to the rain we got! Still a great route nontheless

Beautiful hike. Loved the stone walls on the road. Very peaceful and calming. New follower here. Crow✌️
