Great console but I'm pretty sure you're putting it on the opposite side the black circle should be on the upper side not on facing down. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy your series S.

So as far as i know its not necessary to have it layed down as long as you don’t cover the black circle and keep it in a well ventilated area.
@@EkonIc You're right it's not necessary if you keep it in a well ventilated area but since many people use to place consoles inside closed shelves Microsoft suggests to place it horizontally so that the console gets enough ventilation from both vents. Personally I keep my Series S horizontally since launch and I never had any overheating issues

December 25 2021 i got this console my dad had got me the 12 month xbox live gold later on we upgraded it to Xbox ultimate it was so awesome I played Microsoft flight simulator and fortnite and fallout 76 gta 5 and call of duty modern warfare that was one of the most amazing days I had this console will forever be amazing!

tape the LEDs behinde the desk so it looks to the wall. It looks better than taping it on the table
