Improvisation on Amazing Grace

This is an original improvisation, composed on-the-spot, on the hymn tune "Amazing Grace". The opening of the piece opens with an atonal harmonization on the theme, followed by two other variations before eventually leaving the theme to change into a freeform section before reaching a climactic toccata-like conclusion with the theme in the pedal.
