I agree with the Sheikh. A man’s beauty alone is not sufficient to attract most women, whereas a woman’s beauty alone is enough to attract most men. For example a beautiful woman with no job, no wealth, no house, no car can still attract a rich and successful man. Whereas a handsome man who has no house, no job, no car, no wealth will not attract most women. Women look for status and financial security within a man and then beauty whereas men look at beauty first and then the rest. Obviously there are always extreme cases but in general that is the case.

this man does not know women at all. most women absolutely will look at a handsome man, especially if he smells good. and the *men* in the comments are complaining that women dont understand. That's because you guys are literally telling women they dont care about looks or smell when the women are telling you that they do. who do you think knows women's thoughts better? the women who actually have those thoughts or the men who make assumptions about them?
you guys push your desires onto women to the point that you make it their responsibility not to turn you on yet wont entertain the possibility that women also have sexual desires. we think about and want sex just as much as you, we were just taught to control ourselves more but men are allowed to get away with their inappropriate behavior. that's why women don't look as much, bc they are actually lowering their gaze and controlling their desire to look, while so many men don't bother. let's get things straight, if its haram for women and not men its bc men will literally assault women for being attractive while women would not typically assault the men they find attractive, but its only bc women don't usually assault, not bc we don't find men attractive.

what you say doesn't make sense, as a wife it bothers me that my man is being looked at by a handful of women because he is wearing perfume and I have to stay quiet. Perfume can be avoided, be correct

I still don’t get it , men perfume are made to attract woman because of how strong it is and how Pleasant it is to smell , so that’s ok for men to attract woman ? and woman were raised to not look at men not because woman don’t care ! it’s a big difference

I love the Sheikh but his example is not accurate especially where I live in the West. It may be a good where he lives where everyone is following Sunnah protocol when it comes to hijab, but where I live women look at men all the time, I always remember the Surah Yusuf which is a clear example. There are men that use cologne or perfume and women say all the time which types of perfumes or cologne attracts them. So I believe in Allah and his messenger but this is one of the few examples where I just have to say “I hear and I obey” even if I don’t understand.

Surah Yusuf? You cannot compare him to our men as he had half the beauty of the world and was the most handsome man that ever lived, you cannot even compare the women who were tempted by him as they were tempted by a different kind of man, but remember how the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary/Maryam in the form of prophet Joseph, and she weren't tempted by him, prophet Muhammad pbuh shared a quarter of the worlds beauty but you don't hear of stories of this kind toward him, the women cut off their own hands etc... Yes but he is different, what sheikh was saying is a handsome man with perfume, only a handful would look, but himself even with perfume won't attract them to himself, but in all, Allah knows best.

Parhaps it's a matter of how those women how they were brought up and their surroundings change them like for example basically in the west. By fitra(nature) men's perception about women's beauty is very different compare to women's perception about men's beauty by "nature". Liek they were created differently by Allah. May Allah bless you brother and keep you steadfast upon Allahs sunnah and increase you in abundant beneficial knowledge.

I hate to disagree, but whenever I smell the scent of a man, especiay if it's so good, I instantly feel attracted. But, if it's the ruling of the Quran, then we must obey and not question much something that we most likely won't understand.

To add to the sheikh's explanation; there is also the fact that lowering the gaze is stricter for men than it is for women. Women are permitted to look at men granted that they do not feel attraction or temptation towards them, because women are not typically tempted as easily as men are, while men have been instructed to lower their gaze entirely, regardless of whether or not they feel attracted to the woman. Which is why hijab is stricter for women, thus, it is not allowed for the perfume of a woman to fill the air around her so that other people can smell it, whereas for men they can wear stronger perfume since even if someone's gaze is directed to them, it generally isn't something that is prohibited.

I'm not a Muslim but I watch this Shieh. He has a video on that on his Channel. His name is Shieh Assim Al Hakeem.
As I understood it because usually the man is the head of the household and he can control the wife and make her change her beliefs and prevent her from performing Islamic rituals.
For example fasting, avoiding marital relations during the fast, and more.

This is very much over-exaggerated! Assim Al Hakeem tends to over-exaggerate the attraction between men and women in a lot of his videos by claiming they are like magnets! He has no idea since he lives in a country that doesn't have enough or any free mixing for him to attest this.
I live in the UK in a multicultural society like London where there is racial diversity, usually men and women of different races are not so interested in each other. People usually get attracted to close races and same religion. I have never seen a White man flirting with an Asian woman. But people living in Muslim countries have no such experience, they think all men are the same and will go crazy regardless of what women there is in front of them.
Also let's be honest, we as men don't get sexually aroused by simply looking at the face of a women! It is the private sex organs that make us crazy if they are exposed.
Perhaps the most accurate reason why men can wear perfume is because women cannot physically rape them since men are usually physically stronger! Hence why it is less dangerous for a man to be attractive as he can easily defend himself from a woman and fight away against any whores.

A woman can wear perfume as long as it doesn't linger behind, it should be enough for her to smell it and not others. For example only some one that sniffs her garment up close gets the scent.
And if it lingers behind that should be only in the home or gatherings of woman and not if you need to pass by the opposite gender. Hope that is clear.
