You have to remember and take into account the times back rhen. Today we are inundated with technology ad so many options to entertain ourselves. Back then the entertainment was going to a picture show (movie theater) or the beach and coney Island. Plus living wages were much cheaper. People barely made anything a month. Priorities were different back then for food, shelter and necessities. Going to the beach was a treat like a vacation.

We used to sleep on the beach, we don't do it anymore. Things changed.

Im Coney Island is getting bigger and bigger the safety is improving and it’s overall a better place than a couple of years a go!

The contrasting statement, between then and now, is remarkable. Just look at the number of wheelchairs & disabled people coming off one of those busy trains. Thank you security cameras, as we take a closer look at today’s change in sociology-demographics.

Before the boardwalk was built, there was shockingly little sand. Many photos on line. The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation increased the size of the beach by pumping sand onto the shore to build up the existing bathing area.
