Just goes to show you shouldn’t write something off just because it’s old . A lot of these old trucks still and other vehicles still seem very capable of off roading.
Great to see a blitz in action. We had two of them when I a young lad. One was fitted with a tripod jib and then used for forestry work. The other was brought later and was not used as first refused to break down, so later on it was sold. First one was brought as ww2 surplus as where a couple of other military vehicles.
I think the NFB-ONF have a film of a démonstration in Ontario when the CMP were introduced. There was an off-road course made where people could watch.
This is supposed to test the muster of WWII armored vehicles? Really… aside from going around a slippery muddy hill (though not everyone did), I didn’t see anything you couldn’t take a normal passenger vehicle on.
Question-- did any of these have diff locks or cross locks??? I can't remember a diff lock on any older English vehicle except a tractor. Great to see these old timers doing what they were meant to do, and I bet the cab was not wide enough for the grin on the drivers face!
Three tonner axle noise - memories of childhood!

In the 60s on BBC grandstand they showed military vehicle off road trials. Much more testing than this.

Honestly the dirt track makes them feel at home back in the war
That half-track said "gg ez"

Some of them are almost making it to the top of that very steep hill. I like half tracks they are all old but good though

Sound like giant animals roaring
Overloon?
So what did this prove????
It proved that people drove WWII vehicles on a motocross track and other people enjoyed watching them.
