Contemporary Burgundy is witnessing a viticultural revolution of impressive proportions, as many of the region's best producers rethink the fundamentals of canopy management, planting density, vine genetics and soil cultivation-with profound consequences for wine quality. Rather than focusing on any single appellation, vintage or producer, this tasting takes this viticultural revolution as its theme, ranging all the way from the Mâconnais to the Côte de Nuits, from communal appellations to grands crus.
