  • Dewalt Jobsite Tablesaw Saw Review. Why I still love the Dewalt DWE7491 Job Site Table Saw with the rolling stand. This is a long term user review/experience of one of the best and most popular job site saws, the Dewalt DWE7491RS. I've been using it for over 3 years for woodworking, home renovations, furniture making etc.
In this video we'll take a look at the features of this saw that make it such a popular choice and a few things to be aware of. I give you a rundown of how I use it, what's good, what's not so good and a few accessories and upgrades that will help you get the most from this small saw. This saw accepts dado blades, I install both a 6 inch and 8 inch set of the popular Freud Brand.
I really just wanted to give my overall experience with this particular saw, which I consider excellent after using it for some time. I would buy it again! Although I would take a closer look at a few rivals as well. 😊

Nice video. I have one of the “competitor saws” but this video still gives me ideas on how to better use mine. Keep up the good work!

New sub! 👍🏻 I’ve had the DWE7491 for 8-9 years now and I too really like it. There are only two issues I don’t like. First is the small tabletop. I find it cumbersome at times. The other is the vibration. If I leave a cutoff on the table while cutting other workpieces, the saw vibrates enough to knock workpieces on the floor. Like you said, the saw is incredibly accurate and has good power.
However, I would like to upgrade to a contractor or cabinet saw.

I hear what you’re saying! I’ve had a larger Ridged and old Delta Contractor saws and a few others I won’t mention. if I had a much larger dedicated space I would likely be using something larger, just for the table space alone. But, I’ve been able to manage pretty well, with a few compromises. Yes a nice SawStop Cabinet Saw would be awesome, but not in my near future! 😊 Thanks for Watching!

the mitre gauge is the only issue I have encountered with this saw other than that it is an excellent bit of kit

I have this saw too, I made a folding outfeed table to help with stability on longer cuts; One of the biggest issues I had with this saw, all of the rest are nit-picky.

I’m considering making something similar myself, the table size is the real issue……one day 😊

I loosely followed Travis' idea from "how I do things DIY"/ Highly recommend this mod.

I’m glad you folks understand the issue here isn’t the tool (a WORKSITE tablesaw), but the application you are using it for. Dewalt don’t tout it as a cabinet saw, but UA-cam users seem to believe it should be one.

Hmmm dewalt whatever you do never purchase their patio cleaner they crap out within an hour.. poor design and the company dare a nightmare to get service. I got caught out, and even the replacement craps out within an hour... found dozens of people online with same issue and dewalt not standing by the product. Some of thier core items might be good but don't be fooled by the name.

I’m not brand loyal, but like many bought into one company’s battery ecosystem I use Dewalt 20V tools with little to no issues. I’m positive Milwaukee, Bosch etc. would serve me just as well. But you can’t deny the Dewalt Planer, and this saw are solid choices! But there are many!
