I am SO EXCITED! I'd highly recommend giving death stranding another go! Its a slow burn but the game is AMAZING. It's one of the best narrative games I've played in years. It's still got me questioning things to this date 😂
It's Kafkaesque storytelling, using metaphors to deliver a philosophical message. Pretty bold move on Kojima's part, there was no way this could appeal to everyone.
But yeah, in my top three list, not in a particular order: Death Stranding, Outer Wilds, and Prey (2017), for vastly different reasons and don't really compete.
But if halfway through the game already, I think I would recommend continuing instead of restarting. And also, only if the rest is completely blind.
It's also not a game that will attract a lot of views, I typically wait for the ending to air before even starting with someone new.
I don't want to waste my time on those who hate it or those who don't "get" any of it. That said, nobody *really* got it, pretty much impossible for a first playthrough.
And I've seen like 50+ let's plays of the game, although by now I'm not picking up many new clues anymore. To support *my* interpretation of it.
What were the reasons for ragequitting? I'm a DS expert/loremaster and can give a few specific pointers to make your journey less.. maddening.
It was a mission mama sent me on to a lab over the mountains. After the long journey was told to turn around and go back to Mama. Then I got back to Mama and she was like ‘oh take me there’ and that’s when I quit because I’d already made that journey twice through thick snow, BTs and Mules and now I had to do it with mama on my back. Nah 😂
@@pagan_plays Ah yes, that infamous mission. Now you know how Frodo felt when he had to go to mount doom with a burden that weighted heavily on him. But this wasn't mount Doom he was going to, it was Mountain Knot. Rest assured, it's the hardest story mission in the game. You have numerous ways to deliver Mama, but the easiest by far is to use either a long range truck or trike and go around the mountain since going through snow with a vehicle can be problematic. (And that's where ziplines become the main way of transportation in the mountains later). With some luck you have parts of the road build that leads to Mountain Knot. In any case: driving is the key, lass!
This does look better though. More Troy Baker is always appreciated. I tried to get into Death Stranding but I just couldn't. I mean you're playing a delivery guy you throws pee and blood on people, you know what normally happens lol
Hahha lol! It’s an interesting concept and I honestly loved playing the first one but the mules were annoying and the mission where we had to climb through the snow and the mountains, just to go back where we came from, to be told you have to go back there again over the mountains but this time with someone on your back… nah I rage quit out
@pagan_plays . Yeah that pretty much sums it up lol. D.S. 2 does look to be more engaging and less repetitive and has actual firearms and hopefully more engaging combat.

Anyhow Troy going Joker/Crow mode is just another reflection of Kojima fandom and paying respects to OG movie personas

just play offensive against them, it's easier that way.
