Bucky had a great redemption arc, but Sam had an inspiring legacy story.
It could be really interesting, shame it got changed for something different in the last two episodes.
@Ransom is a cute puppy It focused more on his skin color than the legacy of the shield. When he got the shield in Endgame, it was all about how can he be as good as Steve (he picked Mjolnir ffs).
@@ghost_pl9259 Actually it is focused on both at the same time as Sam is afraid he will be getting hate for becoming the New Captain America. He thinks the reason why he gave up the sheild was because he was not worthy of it, while in fact the real reason why he gave it up is he is afraid for recieving hate for continuing the legacy of the sheild.
@@usaspy5941 I would say it's implied, but there is definitely not enough of it to be considered something this show "focused on".
@@ghost_pl9259 I guess you are right about that, but even if the series did not took time to focus on the legacy of the sheild, it would probably be focus more in the 4th Captain America movie.
That ‘nice job cap’ link with Steve touching Bucky on the shoulder, then Bucky touching the shield on Sam got me SCREAMING

Well, he does...but he can fly though. Also, people grow all the time. The Sam who said that could not even envision that he would one day be Captain America. He didn't have the confidence or belief in himself yet.

Rogers picked it because he was always a defender. Walker used the shield as a weapon, and as such was stripped of it immediately. Then the person Rogers chose first action was to use the shield to defend.
Yeah I agree! Slyfer, you captured Sam's symbol of what it means to be Captain America. He doesn't need super serum or blonde hair to wield the shield; he only believes that there can be a better world, which is what Steve fought for during world war II. Sam is hands down a worthy Captain America!
My heart hurts to having to let Steve go but I couldn't be happier that the legacy will be carried on by a rightly worthy man.

This show is the perfect example on how to add politics to Super Hero TV shows. The way they portrayed what it means for a Black man to hold a title like that was truly amazing. And as a Black man myself, it truly meant a lot. 10/10
respectfully, I disagree. The politics were cringy more times than not, and especially the ending scene where hes talking to the senator like he knows what hes talking about and that hes gonna make a difference is comical at best.

Fact is a Disney show is never going to have sufficient critique of capitalism or imperialism. That show would never get support, never get funded. But I think some people behind this tried to do something positive, and I think you can tell. And my opinion isn't really the most relevant on some of these themes, but it seems a lot of black people liked it so hopefully they did good

"No Supersyrum, no....", Probably some of the best written dialogue from the MCU, with deep, deep meaning in the real world. In the end what makes us different is the hard work that we put into whatever we are doing.
Sam is our Cap now. I really miss Steve Rogers.

You guys are so harsh on John because he isn’t unrealistically perfect and actually acts like a normal person he was betrayed by the other heroes who didn’t except him, he was betrayed by people who didn’t respect him, and he was betrayed by the government even though if he had killed that dude out of sight they would not have cared

Just because you don't value morals, and being a good person does not mean other people do not. Good people are few and far between. The point of Captain America is to represent what Americans should be. Not what they are. For that reason alone John is actually the least realistic Captain America. Because by definition he cannot be Captain America.
i felt sam’s character arc was so overlooked- from refusing the shield to protecting it- and protecting with it. your edits are always amazing- i just started making my own edits, which are nowhere near as good as these, but i hope one day they are- and it’s given me a whole new appreciation for what you do. this stuff isn’t easy!

sam's entire story through this series is amazing. i'm so glad he became captain america
I just remember watching Sam’s montage and every time he was training to catch the shield I could actually hear Steve saying to him and I was screaming it when I had actually noticed that Sam was trying to and eventually was catching the shield with his left hand and that’s when I really was say “on your left”, officially making this one joke in Winter Soldier into the ultimate call back line come full circle.
Sam really shows us that new hero’s are coming and that regardless of skin color or any of that you can change the world he is the new captain America here to stay🙂
Steve created this legacy, and Sam will continue. Steve would be proud 🥲
I mean. The show touched on some pretty intense topics. But the bit about a Black man carrying the title "captain America" was very well done. Given the history of America and the African American, I fully understand what Mr. Bradley was saying and I completely agree. Yet at same time, sam Wilson seeing the bigger picture and genuinely trying to make a change was EPIC. This man's career is about to sky rocket. Thank you marvel. And good luck cap.

Beautiful bro. Sam and Bucky became two of my favorite characters after this show, not just on a fiction comic fan level but as humans in 2021, how we relate to them. U brought out Sams character n growth greatly.
Sam is going to be great as Captain America. There was a time when I wanted Steve to hand the shield off to Bucky. But now...now I see that wouldn't have been the right call. Sam was the perfect choice. Is the perfect choice. He's got big shoes to fill, but something tells me he won't have any problem.

Great work! Sam becoming Captain freaking America felt earned and you captured his journey perfectly here.
I used to be so naive that I thought it used to be about the serum that meant you could be Captain America. Then as I really started watching the films and then Sam Wilson came along. I have never been so wrong about a character, Sam is everything Steve probably wished he could be and vice versa, because you just know they would only see how great and how much more worthy the other is.
Sam Wilson is Captain America and I have no doubt he could pick up Mjoinir... fight me.

This series is the best superhero series and its in my top shows/movies along with the Sam Raimi's Spiderman 2, Matt Reeves' The Batman, Captain America The winter soldier, Daredevil and Logan. This series show how being superhero doesn't make your life easy. It takes proper time to set up Sam and Bucky and how they are living in post Captain America world. Also Kari Skogland's direction on this series is great, keeping it grounded just like Russo brothers.
I really didn't want another captain America after endgame, as Steve was so great in the role, but marvel has now proved me wrong! Sam does a great job in continuing the legacy! P. S great video by the way!
