I'm so happy to see Hasbro bringing Rival back cause they really did get rid of something awesome. I have no doubt in my mind that the return of rival is to combat the fact that the hardcore scene is moving to Dart-Zone and other manufacturers that make blasters of similar, if not better quality, for a much more affordable price point.
Rival didn't go away. Hasbro released Rival blasters in 2021, right along side the Hyper blasters that were supposedly "killing rival". Considering that toy development can take a few years, they were designing this at the same time they were finalizing Hyper. Why would a company discontinue a product line that is still profitable in favor of a brand new product line, of which they have no idea how it will be received by the public? Go to the grocery store, how many salad dressings do you see from just one company? How about spaghetti sauces? How many different flavored and diet versions of Coca-Cola exist? Companies create a diversity in their products, because it is profitable for every man, woman and child to point at their individual favorite and say, "That's the one for me." Anyway, I totally agree with your excitement about new Rival blasters.
Rival never died, people kept saying it did because of Hyper, but Rival releases never even stopped. These were being designed roughly the same time Hyper was released, so I doubt they were ever intending to kill it.
I love this thing. EZ Knockout with le classic T-pull. The Knockout is way more fun, but this thing sounds less fragile and even more moddable. Let's hope I'm not wrong.
I believe this one will also make a nice multi-ammo stand off pistol like the knockout and hope it shoots the HiR, 2x 1/4 MEGAs, and side by side half lengths just as well.
I still stand by what I said about the Vision for a practical primary sidearm. The Fate would make for a good last ditch single-shot if you need something along those lines, but there's too much involved in reloading it in terms of moving parts and the lack of a magazine system to truly make it practical. In short, the Fate is not a... Grand Order.
it would have been neat if the accurival line used a reverse of the curveshot gimmick and found a way to make some sort of free floating hop up tab that stayed level to ground, thus actually making the guns actually more accurate because even shot at an angle, the magnus effect would keep the balls flying straight
Drac! I’ve been watching you since middle school and I’m almost done with my freshman year of college. It has been a pleasure to watch your channel evolve and grow and I look forward to every one of your videos. I still long for those messy carpet GoPro mod guides. Have a good day man.
Looking forward to whatever flywheel blaster comes from this line. Be nice for a 3 round burst idea, keep with that "Accu idea" and keep the shots more on target
I wasn't very interested in the Fate until you showed it can be primed without opening the breech. If the blaster can be primed reliably, without opening the breech, it gives me hope to mod it with an rscb for short darts. If not, I wonder if an external switch can be added and have the breech release decoupled from the priming.
i’m not a fan of single-shots, but at the price point and the performance level i’d absolutely pick a couple up specifically to use as ye oldey dueling pistols. paint ‘em up pretty, give ‘em a nice box, and then i could settle nerd debates the old fashioned way in style! thanks for the review, drac. you remain a legend.
Ya know, I don't really have an interest in nerf or getting into the hobby, but for some reason I can't stop watching these blaster reviews. How interesting. Either way, good job!
Too bad we can't use the lock n load's independent slide return in something like the fate. Shoot, then a return spring opens the breech right after shooting (since the plunger spring is quicker than a return spring), then T-pull shuts the breech and primes the blaster. Might make sense or just be a neat idea.
I have one and i think they should have made it with an internal mag and the same loading principle as the takedown but with 2-3 ball capacity and the breach should have been made to open and close like a pump action (with the crank that can retract back in the handle like the knockout ) its a missed opportunity but it is still fun to use
I have the earlier single shot rival blaster, and it has 4 on-board ammo storage slots. This pistol costing more and having no on board storage does bother me too. I'd skip it for the next biggest blaster in the line tbh. Good for someone else who wants if for under $15 though.
The Fate is bigger than I thought, but I guess since the plunger tube is now in line with the barrel rather then set in the grip, I should have realized that. Looks nice, much like the Knockout which is a personal favorite.
Thanks for the review and gratitude msg at the beginning. Cool that all 3 blasters are reviewed. My take? Woulda been neat if line were a continuation of the Edge Series what with the accuracy claims. Dunno if I'll buy. Though painting them white for Phantom Corps is appealing.
I haven't been buying Nerf stuff recently, but this looks like something I may actually pick up. With the breech and all, I hope it gets similar kits to the Knockout made for it. (maybe even the current stuff fits it)
Digging the aesthetics. Just wish it had some ball storage like the other rival pistols. The worker cheetah is the same blaster, but with some storage.
I'm personally glad they kept it lower in step count than the Knockout, as the multisteps involved with that pistol were slightly irksome. th grip is proably gonna be nicer as well seeing as it doesn't have to accommodate the plunger tube. kudos to the mothership for this one indeed
I’m sorry but if I have to run a breach loading rival pistol it’s going to be the knockout simply on the fact it’s more compact and actually has on board round storage on the actual blaster shell
A knockout that's more durable. I feel it. But I wish they had the ammo storage on the side. Not having to carry balls in my pocket (pause) for my sidearm was a plus.
Awesome review from the most honest reviewer in the scene! I think the accu rival series is cool. A shame that it will be torture to get hands in these in Germany.
This was about to be my favourite out of the line, because it looks so sweet, but dang...No internal mag AND no on-board storage? They really could've used the grip or the bottom of the barrel for /something/. The whole line is pretty nice looking though.
Okay, how and where are you getting these new blasters? I've been watching the Wal-Mart site like a hawk and I haven't even see hide nor hair of them yet so far.
This is a nice pistol indeed! It's nice that they have reduced the number of steps for the loading process, as the Knockout also had to have it's plunger rod pushed in and the breech manually opened. This series is really cool, the colour scheme and square styling is really nice. Thanks for the review Drac! 🧡💙💛 P.S. You probably have a very valid reason for doing this, but I noticed you have had less of the nice slide-cam closeup sections recently, I thought they were really cool it would be nice to bring them back.
You're awesome Drac!! Just a kind comment and I hit the bell too :-) you and coop make up the East Coast there's soooooo many guys in the Northwest, you're in Atlanta and Coop is in Florida East Coast representing!!!!
Agree on the sad lack of onboard ammo storage circles. They could've put two on each side (assuming nothing underneath all that blank blue would interfere) and that would've added the opportunity to have two large bulging fun yellow dots on each side. The lack of those little round press-fit ammo keepers on most Rival blasters is an annoying head-scratcher. The Saturn has tons of room for them as does the Kronos. Really they should have been just a ubiquitous part of the design language of Rival. Bummer. Thanks for the vid Drac.
Very torn on whether I want this or the knockout, the simplified loading action and iron sights are great, but it has no ammo storage and is bulkier than it should be.
I’m in the same boat as you. I don’t like how the prime handle stays sticking out as opposed to the knockout being pushed back in. Lack of on board storage is a bummer too. I’m new to playing with blasters and have no plans to do any modding.
This line is great overall, but I honestly can't wait to see people make carbine kits for the Vision, this is gonna be slick
Right
Was just thinking that the vision as a carbine would be cool!
what is a carbine kit?
@@fiveix_ in our hobby, it's basically another name for a pump action kit
wouldnt that just be a worse pathfinder?

@@genedocsinnovations8319 It can shoot Mega XL btw
I ordered mine yesterday and can't wait! Thanks for the honest review!
Were did you order from

I keep comparing it to the knock out, even though I'm pretty sure it's a lot better, but it's the breach loading.
id definitely love to see what could be done with this in terms of a longer barrel & more power. it'd be a cool little one shot sniper build
The aesthetics of these blasters are awesome, definitely feel video game-y. Really like the vibe of this new line.
Drac! I’ve been watching you since middle school and I’m almost done with my freshman year of college. It has been a pleasure to watch your channel evolve and grow and I look forward to every one of your videos. I still long for those messy carpet GoPro mod guides. Have a good day man.
Thanks man.
This looks sick, definitely gonna order like 10 of them for my college nerf antics.
Looking forward to whatever flywheel blaster comes from this line. Be nice for a 3 round burst idea, keep with that "Accu idea" and keep the shots more on target
that'd be sick
Is there a lock keeping you from firing with the breach open, or can you ignore that step? If you can does it affect performance?

its was so nice to hear how much it means to drac when we like and comment
I'm interested to see if the breech can open that little bit further for short darts - this could be a nice alternative to the Knockout 😎
Ya know, I don't really have an interest in nerf or getting into the hobby, but for some reason I can't stop watching these blaster reviews. How interesting. Either way, good job!

Though he compared it to the old school blaster I would have liked to see the size compared to more of something we all can get... like the kronos.
I honestly use your review to decide what costume props to use for cosplay
The barrels all have an angle at the end. Is that supposed the optimized part?
I added a new spring to this and this is my favorite blaster, over challenger and mirage
I have the earlier single shot rival blaster, and it has 4 on-board ammo storage slots. This pistol costing more and having no on board storage does bother me too. I'd skip it for the next biggest blaster in the line tbh. Good for someone else who wants if for under $15 though.
So what's super weird, my local Meijer (Midwest version of a clean Walmart), already has these on clearance for $11!
Regular price was $14.99.
The Fate is bigger than I thought, but I guess since the plunger tube is now in line with the barrel rather then set in the grip, I should have realized that. Looks nice, much like the Knockout which is a personal favorite.
I need this just because of the shell and I may try covering the neon green with something
me and my friend love dueling with single shots and this looks sick
Your delivery, background knowledge and light humor go together perfectly. The best in the business. Keep up the good work!
I love my knockouts so this is my favorite of the new bunch. Thanks for the look!
I've been here since the Alpha Trooper days. Cheers to many more!
Gonna put accu rounds into a cruveshot flex and see if I can actually hit things around corners
I love this line! So happy that they brought rival back with a bang! ( literally)
I only wish I could get them in red and blue, would save me hours disassembling, spraypainting, and reassembling.
I've converted my rival pistols to standard dart shooters. Will there be a new flywheeler in this line because that could tempt me.
If they can make mag extention for the fate (e.g. an attached speedloader), it would become the nerf deagle
I LOVE the look of this, especially the silhouette. But I've still always wanted a sidestrike.
I am a little surprised that wasn’t more directly compared to the knockout. Great review as always though!
Looks like a change up on the Knockout? Hmm.
I've always wanted to know how many rounds do u have out in your range? There has to be so many darts and rival rounds just outside.
Love all your videos, can't wait for all the mod kits!!
Have U tried loading 3 rounds .I'm pretty sure U can. Pull barrel a bit further out. Space for 3.
The size of that feed opening in the shell feels like it's almost supposed to take half lengths
I haven't been buying Nerf stuff recently, but this looks like something I may actually pick up. With the breech and all, I hope it gets similar kits to the Knockout made for it. (maybe even the current stuff fits it)
Loving these early reviews!!! Defo gonna pick this one up
Digging the aesthetics. Just wish it had some ball storage like the other rival pistols. The worker cheetah is the same blaster, but with some storage.
I wonder if this will be compatible with the knockout halfdart conversion kits everyone was making a few years back
I'm personally glad they kept it lower in step count than the Knockout, as the multisteps involved with that pistol were slightly irksome. th grip is proably gonna be nicer as well seeing as it doesn't have to accommodate the plunger tube. kudos to the mothership for this one indeed
I’m sorry but if I have to run a breach loading rival pistol it’s going to be the knockout simply on the fact it’s more compact and actually has on board round storage on the actual blaster shell
Oh, I need one of those in my life...
T-pull, sleek looking, oof it just hits all the right spots!
Awesome video! I’m definitely going to be purchasing these accurate rival blaster‘s.
I actually noticed the (almost) plastic free packaging without knowing anything about it, then later saw the label on the box
This was about to be my favourite out of the line, because it looks so sweet, but dang...No internal mag AND no on-board storage? They really could've used the grip or the bottom of the barrel for /something/. The whole line is pretty nice looking though.
Cheep washboard instrument 🤣
"When I'm shooting windez" 🕺🎶🎵
Okay, how and where are you getting these new blasters? I've been watching the Wal-Mart site like a hawk and I haven't even see hide nor hair of them yet so far.
Solid review. Fair assessment. Good pacing. I learned what I came here to learn. 👍
This feels like an even better candidate for easy brass breeches than the rival knockout. Can't wait to see what people do with it
Tbh I was the most excited for this one because it looks cool but I thought it would be smaller so I might not pick it up just for that reason
Will you be reviewing the Fire Rat at all?
Hey Drac did you sharpen your knife and what kind of knife is it
Would love to see how these new rounds react in a perses
Hey love the content so far. Have you put the new rounds through a Kronos or a x-shot blaster?
Is it possible to muzzle load this? Maybe if you use a ramrod?
aaaah, the ol' spin test. the only test of a blaster that really matters at the end of the day
I like this series of blasters. Also I like the gimmicks that they have even though they aren't very practical.
I think they all look great and I can't wait to get my hands on all 3.
Cool for plinking !!! Thanks Drac .
the fate looks like a desert eagle
I really miss the outdoor glasses-cam videos, those were the best
So it seems to be an updated Knockout?
Just the ‘oh, do I owe them an apology? Oh, oh I do!’
What is the name of your Colombia jacket. It's very mandolorian like!
There is a new DinoSquad 6-shot revolver at Target for 15.99 called the Raptor - Slash.
The fact that you can one take it is amazing, great job!!
This is a nice pistol indeed! It's nice that they have reduced the number of steps for the loading process, as the Knockout also had to have it's plunger rod pushed in and the breech manually opened. P.S. You probably have a very valid reason for doing this, but I noticed you have had less of the nice slide-cam closeup sections recently, I thought they were really cool it would be nice to bring them back.

Thanks for the review! I was hoping to see a size comparison with the Fate and the Kronos.
Just picked up 3 of these for the family for $5 apiece, very happy with them.
When are these hitting shelves?
I love how this Accu series is going so far

im really excited about this line it genuinely looks good
Love you videos. Your one of the youtubers that got me back in the hobby
when are they gonna be released?!
Can’t wait to see these with a brass breach
You seriously deserve more subscribers. Keep up the great work!
how will that new ammo work in a 3s lipo modded nemiss
Really excited to see this line hit shelves where I am
I think Fate is a fun pistol. I am wondering if it is more fun then knockout....
Really wanna see a mod for this
Still the only channel I'll trust for rival reviews especially
i found out that you can put 2 rounds in there and get a shotgun blast. just like the pilot
are they available yet?
