It broke my heart when she was nominated for a Grammy 7 times in 1995, only to lose out in each catagory to Alanis Morissette, who had just appeared in music videos that year as well and was more popular with the younger crowd.` At least she finally won in 2011 for Best Blues Album. She deserved it.

It wasn't original, and it sure as hell didn't sound good. Ms Joan Osborne has a remarkable and very rich, powerful voice and is a true musician. alanis was just a flash in the pan as far as I'm concerned. Oh well, onto more important things. I think she's great. A few years ago, when she was touring with the Dead, there was a video clip of her singing Alabama Getaway. Joan rocks! I hope she is happy on Valentines Day. Cheers

You can bet they tried both a 49 & 47... This studio has several of both mics.The mic used however is a U67 ( a tube mic as well ) not an 87...
This is a better version than the one on her album (breakfast in bed).
