  • We are going back for another ultrasound to check the baby’s size. Unfortunately he hasn’t grown as much as we were hoping for, but he’s looking very active and healthy so we aren’t too worried about his health. However, he will most likely be a small baby. We will go back next week for another check up and will update y’all then:)
Thank you so much for watching!

Just a reminder that you can get a second opinion. We were told we needed to induce with our third, but she was measuring tiny, and we saw no reason for that. I had nonstress tests twice a week. She ended up going to 41 weeks three days. She was my smallest baby and my quickest delivery. I delivered in triage! Pray about it and be led by the Lord. Praying for you guys.

But they didn't say it was up to par. She told them it didn't do much the last two weeks. That's absurd! It is created to sustain the baby as long as needed. Now at 42-43 weeks pregnancy, yes, it starts to shrivel, but many moms go that far no problem.

    • @Blinda41

@@famservingyah765 The placenta could be considered the mastermind behind maternal physiology, orchestrating an entire organism to create a proper milieu for fetal development.
Barring a diagnosed issue. Poor fetal growth would be a placenta assumed issue thus when baby is developmentally appropriate, birth is a wiser choice.

PLEASE pray about the decision to induce. Unless it’s an emergency situation, the best and safest place for your little guy to be is right where he is. Don’t let doctors “rush” you into inducing. Let Ryker continue to grow and develop until at least 40 wks, if it’s safe for you to do so. I know you guys are anxious to have him in your arms but there really isn’t a reason to induce, based on what y’all have said. Praying for clarity and peace for you both.

I feel that doctors today are taking these babies too early either by inducing labor or by C-section when there's no real emergency. As a former mother/baby nurse, you don’t need to bring much to the hospital. They will give you everything you need for caring for Ryker. You will also most likely go home with extra diapers, wipes etc. Also, as a mom of 4 older kids, you guys look very prepared, and if you’re missing something then i’m sure that one of your family members will get it for you. Try to enjoy these last few weeks as a family of two. Go to a movie or on some other date. Blessings! 😊

I had my triplets at 33/4 and they’re super healthy “normal” sized preschoolers! One was IUGR and she’s 100%great, was mostly just lighter weight before she 2. Try not to worry too much!!! It’s great you’re being monitored and looked after well. Best wishes for continued good health for you and baby boy.

Try not to worry too much. God's got this and is taking care of all of the details. Babies grown the most in the final weeks. Rest and get plenty of fluids.

Sorry to hear that Ryker is coming sooner than you guys expected.🙁 Pray everything goes well. Lydia, maybe you should cancel or opt out of your girls trip to be on the safe side. Glad your prepared both ways for preemie and newborn clothes and diapers. The week your getting induced my church is having Missions Conference so now I have two things to look forward to that week.😁

Yes, yes me too, it seems most don’t use these as much but baby needs these for many months. They keep snaps, zippers etc away from their precious skin, which can irritate baby’s without parents realizing…mine are grown and still wear undershirts. Great comment!!! Also try to buy all cotton only for baby’s as there’s a lot of synthetic clothing today and often mixed with cottons which can cause rashes on baby’s new skin.

The same thing happened to my daughter when she had my grandson last year but she found out at her last OB appt and sent her straight to the hospital. She did amazing for her first child at 19 and 10 hours of labor at start of induction. Good luck and congratulations! He will probably wear prememe clothes and diapers. My grandson was 5lbs and my daughter is tiny.
