I gifted my daughter and her Beau one month of Hello Fresh, for a Xmas gift, 2 years ago. My daughter can cook, but she's an ER nurse so long 12 hour shifts, and not off by dinner time. So it taught him to cook for sure! And you keep the recipe cards and eventually you get familiar with ingredients!

The height thing does weird people out, unfortunately. But as a tall woman married to a man who is shorter than I am, I love Trace's attitude toward's Lydia's height. I wish more people were like you.
My mom is taller then my dad but she never cared as she loves him for who he is not for his hight! Lots of people used to ask why she would date a sort guy she always said I never care about their hight it’s about their personality and how they treat others
My assumption is that you both love each other very much and are working on giving and taking equally. Your newly married and that comes with learning areas about each other, knowing marriage is all about compromise.

My mom had 9 kids! I am the youngest and I'm 14🙃! She had 3 girls and 6 boys, and is now a Nana of 23 grandchildren!😁❤🤗 love y'all and am praying for y'all!
You guys are amazing. Try to not let the opinions of other folks sway what you do or don’t do. Who cares who cooks or is taller or anything else. Being a team and loving one another is the best.

My dad was the shortest one in our family (he was 5'7" and my mom was 5'9" in her stocking feet, and all 4 of us kids got varying degrees of their height) and my dad did all the cooking in the family! He was a great cook, too!
Your answers are spot on don’t ever let people make you feel bad trust God and look to him for your guidance.
Lydia, my nephew, by marriage & heart, came here for school, and once school was over, he has been applying to become a legal citizen. And you are right, it takes a long time, years. My niece and him wanted to get married. They had to wait a couple years and it also cost a lot of money. My niece had to prove that she could financially support both of them. He did had to sign a document stating he would never receive any type of government/state financial assistance, Medicaid, food stamps etc. After completing his undergrad, school, his company sponsored him and that was how he had a work permit. He paid for his college and has a great career. He was already financially independent. They did finally get the approval to get married. He's still waiting for the final approval of citizenship. He is a fantastic provider and we love him completely. He is seeking citizenship legally.

@@iamdenislara he applied for citizenship, in other words, did it the right way. Long process. I'm sure he has a green card. You dont become a citizen when you are In another country. You apply, and after living here a few years and jumping thru the hoops, you become a citizen. This is why it is so unfair that he does it the right way, which is very difficult, and the illegals just walk right in, and get all the free benefits. So unfair.

Lydia you will do fine having baby Ryker. You have 2 of the best examples of moms to help you with the labor and delivery and afterwards if you need them. Your mom and Traces mom will be so helpful and of course Trace that you will do just great! Both of you will be such good parents. That baby is so blessed to have you two.
Lydia, you saying that you will be protective of your baby only shows what a great mother you already are...The Creator intended for Mommy's to be protective. The face that Trace may be more chill is how i feel it's supposed to be. I feel the Lord created marriage between a man and woman and each have specific roles in raising their children. It's obvious y'all are going to be wonderful parents!! ❤

Lydia- you inevitably get more chill after the first couple of bruises and falls. Watching my daughter explore and be proud of her physical ability has made me so proud. As long as you are there to comfort Ryker and be his safe place he will be resilient and know he is loved. So excited for your family to grow❤

It's amazing how nosy people are about personal details of your life! I watched Bring Up Bates from the start. I also follow the kids who have grown up & have a Utube channels. You guys are so cute. You both seem to have your priorities in order. You're going to be great parents. You both came from great parents. I know Kelly jo and Gil are amazing Godly parents. I'm sure Lydia's parents are as well. I don't know how momma B does all she does. She's one in a Trillion. She made time and still does for all her kids. A Godly example for us all. Love the Bates family so much.
I have found with our busy schedules that we use our crockpot a lot. It’s so easy and you can even do most of the prep the night before, peeling potatoes and carrots and cutting it all up, then in the morning basically set it and forget about it for several hours. I’ve even done ribs in the crockpot recently and they were amazing!! I’m not the best cook plus I have 3 children that are always going in different directions so on super busy nights my crockpot is our go to. Lydia will start to learn more quick and easy recipes and will be doing more cooking in no time, if she wants lol. I have some friends that leave all the cooking up to their spouse and that’s perfectly fine as well. It’s really what works best for you all. 💜

Hello Fresh is an amazing teacher. My daughter used it for maybe 2 years and now she’s a fabulous cook. I recommend giving it as a wedding gift to young couples.
Off topic but, with the minimalist design which can have an echo, sit down videos may benefit from you guys wearing microphones. The Rode mic / dead cat works fine for typical camera-in-hand vlogging but the distance from it when sitting picks up the echo. Rode makes a small clip on mic a lot of vloggers wear out in public. It really helps to pick up just the speaker. My apologies for the unsolicited advice. 😂 ♥️
My mom has lived in the states since 1976 and got permanent residency. She finally got her citizenship in 2019 and that was a 2 year process. (She tried many times before but lots of things kept getting in the way). Add in the asylum situation and I can’t imagine!

I agree about Tom, he’s awesome. At the end of the day, people are allowed to practice the religion they want even if we don’t agree with it. I like that you’re able to admire him without having to share the same beliefs. Anyway, I hope you do an assumptions part 2. I think you guys are Amazing couple and the one thing I admire in you both is that you respect each other’s opinions and you don’t try to make each other look or feel like you’re not doing your part in the marriage. Just like the cooking most men would brag about what they do and Trace doesn’t and Lydia doesn’t either. He just says well right now she doesn’t like to cook and I do what I can and she’s like he’s Amazing cook.. They love and respect one another and it shows in how they respond to things about each other.... You both were meant for each other....

Once your child is born, all the assumptions will seem very trivial. Don't take to heart. You both seem very level headed + seem to be working as a team + thats what matters.
Once the baby comes your days will be full + you will fall into bed at night, happy, tired + blessed. Will be excited to hear news of arrival.

It’s okay Lydia I am a helicopter mom as well and mine are 21 and 17 😂😂. I had mine starting at 27 so I totally understand. We will pray y’all through a healthy delivery.
I think Trace your mom was willing to let you children do the cooking from time to time as you got older, it was good for her and good for ya’ll to learn to cook.

I think every first mom has tendency to be more unsure and protective. You definitely are different with your first then your last. Whatever that looks like all moms can say that. That is in no way ever a bad thing. Lydia never compare your parenting to other moms, just as we never compare our children to other kids. Always follow your instincts you will NEVER go wrong. God gives us moms instincts to be the voice for our children.

As far as Trace doing most of the cooking, I know a lot of couples that is true for and there is nothing at all wrong with that. My husband is a great cook and he enjoys it and I love to cook as well. A lot of times we cook together and that is fun too.

My husband and I got married 5 days before our 1 year dating anniversary similar to you. When you know you know 😂 Then we had our son not quite 2 years later, then our daughter 13 months after that. We will have been married 16 years as of October and couldn't be happier with our choice.
I had my second daughter at 34 weeks she was 5lbs9ozs and 18 ¼ in. I loved having my little baby. She was 1 pound bigger than her older sister but her older sister wasn't as healthy at birth even though she was born at 38 weeks. But 2 weeks later she was fine and I loved having the smaller babies because they stayed smaller longer. My third daughter was 7'2oz. she was very big compared to the first 2.
I’ve been married almost 22 yrs and I’ve NEVER started enjoying it! My husband cooks and I clean up!

It is completely normal to be nervous about any delivery especially when it's your first.
He can do whatever he's interested in sky is the limit. You can be home schooled and still active in sports or music.
The law permits homeschoolers to be a part of all extra curricular sports or programs. It's your right.
I just love you guys!! Trace was the quiet one of the three boys on the couch interviews. Now he has flourished into a great guy and soon to be daddy! Prayers for a safe delivery!

Novice cooks today have it so easy. With UA-cam you can choose channels that teach recipes to your liking and skill level. Choose those that have the recipe n the description box or a link to the printed recipe.
So easy. Everyone can be able to cook nowadays.

Each parent has their own way of doing things what your parents did might not work for you but what you do might not be the same as others either just work with things as ryker grows up.
