Big shoutout to Melissa Fahn for making such a great performance on Tiamat's english dub, this scene in particular really moved me and shows how Tiamat deserves all the love she been getting in the last 24 hours! 😭
Fr tho, I need to recover from that L i took on the Fate/Grand Order gacha and go back to farming Saint Quartz so I can get mother in the gacha! 🔥

God, I loved that they made this scene for Ritsuka. Really shows his ability to just understand others. And a beautiful depiction of the warring conflict inside of Tiamat. She hates her children for leaving her, but loves them all the same and wants to protect them. She's a primordial goddess who just doesn't understand that children need to grow up and leave eventually.
I think scene did happen in the game but this was more towards the entering the middle part of this singularity, I do remember it was like Ritsuka was underwater, hearing a mysterious voice with something VERY similar to this, and then King Hassan, under the name of Ziusudra then woke the mc after the mystery voice was done. Perhaps he wanted Ritsuka to know the intentions of Tiamat and that the real one is there. We never saw Tiamat’s sprite until she emerged from the sea.
That is the whole reason she has the title of “Beast”. In some way, all beasts either love or care for humanity, but how they show that love and care is destructive to us.

there is a scene in game where master dreams of hearing these exact words are used during the Babylonia singularity, but it was before Tiamat's appearance. The master thought that it was very sad.

Tiamat is like every mother who wants to be with there children forever. But she couldn’t understand why they would leave her and that causes her great pain. She couldn’t understand that for children to grow then must eventually leave.
You don't have to leave forever. There is nothing wrong with maintaining a healthy relationship with your parents when you have children of your own. Especially if you want some free babysitting.
Just like the person above said, u don't have to leave forever, severing all that connection u have, in my big family (up two generations) there is a tradition of us coming together every 3 months to maintain that connection.

This anime only scene was brilliant. Made me care about her way more than I did in the game.
The scene that changed everything and broke her infamous Beast profile entries. This scene is something that I'll never forget, especially now that she's playable.

@@justsomeguywithlasereyes9920 Long story short, based on what I remember (it's been at least 4 years since I last read it) the entries described her as an extraterrestrial being who's unable to understand UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES human language and role. She was pictured as something impossible to communicate with due to her lack of a brain or something along those lines. I remember it was due to something really detailed though. But yeah, considering all of this, the anime broke all these entries one by one. She's shown to be capable of communication and more importantly, she's able to interact with a human in a non-aggressive manner. Why? Because, contrary to what was written in one entry, she's a being (not a terraforming device as it was previously stated) with a full sense of self. A consciousness if you will. This is the gist of it. From a living device devoid of a sense of self, to a broken mother who's been used and discarded once her utility expired.

@@maiconmelo2478 yeah, even goetia always loved humanity in his own way and when he saw that humanity didn’t have a future past 2017, he took extreme measures to ensure humanities survival, even if he had to become a threat to humanity in doing so.
@@_dxksh Exactly. I confess that after Tiamat, Goetia is my favorite beast due to his motivations and machinations for ensuring Humanity's survival.
It still remind me of that scene at the end of Shimousa, when Limbo learn he can't become a Beast because all Beasts in some way loves humanity. Tiamat loved her children to the point of preferring their death over the pain of separation, Goetia loved human potential so much he hated them for wasting it, Kiara loved humans as one love a mirror, for them to reflect only her love for herself, Kama loved humans to the point of negating each other aspects they had other than love, be it pain or righteousness, Fou loved humans as individuals, but couldn't stand kind of Gilgamesh their civilization, the Whore of Babylon loved only the ugliest part of humans, their brilliance before the fall.
It's for that reason a being like Kirei or Limbo is the furthest thing from a Beast, while Angra Mainyu could have taken the seat of Beast 4 or 6 if he actually managed to be born during the 5th holy grail war.
That was Heian-Kyo, not Shimousa.

@@nestorphan4592 whats even crazier is that she never set out to be a VA in the first place. she was just a random secretary who just happened to be scouted out by a voice director passing through as they checked out of their hotel. she was talking and they liked the sound of their voice and so they offered her a role in an upcoming anime they were doing, to which she took just for the shits and giggles (likely). that role was Ed from Cowboy Bebop.

I preordering her larvae statue because I love her character and design so much. I've never played the game I've only watched the anime and I fell in love with her character I hope one day she can find happiness.💙
FGO better have exclusive alt endings that are canon for every servant you summoned and other conditions.
I know for a fact I would like to see what would happen with Tiamat, among others.
Personally I would like to see alternate endings for Servants that you choose to romance. The Servant you choose will stay with you while everyone else returns to the Throne. You and your chosen Servant then leave Chaldea to live an ordinary life, finally deciding to rest after saving humanity.
Or you end up the leader of Novum Chaldea that remains dedicated to preserving humanity and you maintain your army of Servants. Which, honestly sounds both cool and terrifying, but at least the Mage's Association are guaranteed to leave you alone since you have the power to easily end the world through your Servants. The Servant you choose will still become your romance partner in this ending, but they just have a lot more competition since the other Servants are still around.
Well those are my predictions anyway. It all depends on what goes down in Ordeal Call (which let's be honest, is just padding to delay the end of part 2) and whatever conclusion awaits us in the original Chaldea.

@@darkstorm2579 Because there have been downer endings in Fate before, and we've overcome again and again, against impossible odds over and over and over. We've beaten grands, we've beaten demons, we've beaten gods, we've beaten aliens, and even an ultimate one.
The other shoe is going to drop, that's what I think. Something akin to Heaven's Feel normal is the *best* I think we might get.

Personally, i find her eng dub way too solemn and calm, Aoi Yuki made her sound like she was about to break😅 and cry any moment.
Many people in sadness will repress their emotions as much as they can.
Somehow the solemn and calm depiction is way better than one that sounds like they’ll snap.
That what makes this so bad you can feel the pain way more.
personally I think you can hear in her last lines. as someone trying to hold composure but, there's small cracks you can tell it's a fascade through.

Yep. As far as I know she's voiced every incarnation of Medusa every time there's been a dub for any of the Fate stuff the character's in. She was also Gorgon and "baby" Medusa in this too.

I do admit this is a scene that wasn't in the game, but it's a good scene. She knows she's dying and yet, even in death she can't help but love her children. It's simply her nature. Yet it is this same love that allows her to be reborn as a servant. Being free of the influence of the Beast allows her to express the love she has formher children, by protecting the place they call home. If she can provide a place where her children can grow and nurture, then as a mother, she has fulfilled her duty.

Tbh the whole of the Babylonia dub was poorly directed. Not that the VAs don’t have skill cause clearly Melissa Fahn is killing it, but it just doesn’t go far enough at the appropriate times. Like Ushi went from a charismatic war general to like… isekai princess.

I feel like Tiamat was one of the misunderstood Beasts along with Fou and Koyanskaya. Goetia was driven mad by his disgust on Humanity. Kiara and Kama were both driven insane from their lust for power.

I like how kind of ambiguous the scene is, because she says two opposing things, first she says, "I don't want to be alone, please don't go" but then she says "I'm asking you to never love again." Both are contradictory, if she wants them to stay then why say never love me again. Does she want them to leave and if they do to never love her again or is it something else. What do you think.
I think this scene captures the Contradictory nature of the beasts of humanity perfectly because they love humanity but their ideas of love is so alien to ours that their actions contradict what they say and become a threat to human life
For example Goetia says he hated having to watch the pain and death we constantly go through and wanted to help but his idea of helping us was to just incinerate old humanity and just hit the rest button with humans that didn't experience death so he loved us but was also completely willing to hurt us because he thought a reset was best for humanity.

it’s because in her head because her children loved her they will eventually end up leaving her, so she’s asking to never be loved so that they would never leave. All her children loved her but left so she believes that by them not loving her they will stay so she can love them forever
