You do not give yourself enough credit. So I will, you are an excellent designer with an impeccable eye. I make my bed every day, and both of my kids make theirs as well. I don't sit on my bed, but my kids definitely do and it doesn't bother me. A well loved, lived in house can look nice but also be used and be comfortable.
I sit on the bed whenever I want. Maybe to put on socks or to pet my dog, who is chilling on it. What a warm and friendly video. Felt like a close friend in your bedroom.. going through things. Sweet. Love your bedroom and that you went into detail on the things in it. Your bag by your bed reminded me of my mother. She passed at 70 and now I am 70, thinking of her oh so often lately. When us 3 daughters met, after she passed, and went around her place and took turns picking things we wanted of hers, I picked her "Toto" type wicker basket, that she kept by her lounge chair. In it were kleenexes, hand cream, pencil and paper...lots of little things that she could just go and grab while watching her TV show. Made me cry going through it. Brought it home and just kept her things in it for years. Your bag reminded me of that, things in reach but, not looking cluttered. She was not cluttered at all and neither am I. Love your bed quilt!! Lovely video. Thanks for the memories. . love, hugs, prayers.
Your bedroom puts me in the mind of a Nancy Meyers movie set bedroom (think: It's Complicated, The Holiday, Something's Gotta Give). It is soooo cozy and functional. Love the wall of books behind the bed!! The wall color is soothing and the lighting is warm--nicely done! You are not only a talented exterior decorator but also interior!!
I just discovered your channel and I love your style! I do not sit on my bed. Yes, it is due to my upbringing. As a child all beds in our home were made first thing in the morning and remained tightly tucked until bedtime. I have many warm memories of our cozy, comfortable and tidy home.
My mother allowed my two younger sisters and I sit on the beds! Never understood. We played on the floor. She didn’t want us to mess up the beds. Plus, she was extremely strict! 😂
Yes we had a very strict home I was a middle child with an older brother and a younger brother we were not permitted to sit on our beds because mother knew we’d sit in the right in the middle at the same spot all the time and it would sag wear down over the years the bedspreads meant a lot to her E it may be a homemade quilt or a Chanel bedspread that she save for, and that was high memories and dollars for her to have made or spent on that bedspread or quilt and we were not permitted to sit on it. We were taught at four years of age to make our own beds and I’ve taught my two boys that are and I have told my grandchildren that. My eight-year-old granddaughter told me hey you don’t need to follow your mothers rules and you have too many rules for us ha ha love all your videos Linda God bless
Love the placement of the bed.. and growing up we were never allowed to sit on the bed..and could only lay on the bed, doing the day, if you were sick or dying😊😊
I love being surrounded by those pieces that are reminders of special people, events and places. In my mind, that is how a house is transformed into Home. Thanks for sharing your very special place.
I’ve watched many of your videos and enjoy them even a second time. Your love of your home is so evident throughout. I’m not the gardener I wish I could be but sure enjoy your design ideas inside and out. I also love how you share tidbits of your family and history. Thanks for becoming a friend. 💖💐
My name also being Linda always gives away my age! As I tell everyone, Linda is a name that has not been recycled in modern day. John, William and Robert have always been around for men and Elizabeth and Claire for women have come back around. We Linda's are unique! Now for your question about sitting on the bed during the day, my mom was not so strict as I grew up in a very rural country area and we had no special furniture, everything was functional and always used. However, I did have cousins and friends whom I visited as a child and their mother would always caution us "Do not sit on the bed"! I thought it strange at the time, but funny now that you have mentioned it. Something I had forgotten, thank you for the memories! Also, most of my friends had formal living rooms that were never used except on Christmas morning when presents were opened under the tree. Now let's go lie down on the bed for a mid-day nap. LOL Love your decor style.
Yes, I lounge on my bed. My bedroom is my sanctuary. I do not have a television so I watch videos (like yours) on my laptop which sits nicely on my bed. I also share my space with my kitties and doggies. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Yes yes yes to sitting, lounging, reposing, luxuriating on the bed...everything in the house is to be used and enjoyed...nothing is sacred but the people.
You are so right...gardeners love things that are "put together" well. I also love a beautifully decorated home and stylish outfit... I come from a family of 8 siblings and we could always sit on the bed as long as it was made in the morning and after sitting, smoothed out to look tidy again.
I'm a solo liver. I am on my bed whenever I want or in my l. Room on my sofa. I'm very active & very loungy. A hummingbird or a lizard🤗 😄. Love your home & your outfit. You always look beautiful. ❤️ Yes, bright moments & little pleasures. 🦋🍁🍁🍁🌲🌲 Yay for the pants!
Linda I love your bedroom and your mix of thrift, designer, personal items. I have learned a lot from you in your design style and gardening style. Especially your repurpose of items! It makes a home comfy and cozy and I will rethink things more. You are an inspiration to me. I make my bed everyday but I also have a coverlet for those days that call for an afternoon nap. Thank you for sharing. I also love your style of clothing! Keep making videos.
I lounge on my bed , and anywhere I like. I’m a firm believer in using all my stuff including my dishes, fancy glasses, tea cups and saucers. I have friends that only burn their candles on special occasions. Not me! I burn candles constantly every single day. I love your channel. Thank you so much for all the tips and knowledge that you put out. I get so inspired. I love tiny little things tucked here and there between my books , in my books, everywhere. I love books❤️
Awe...I love your bedroom, bookcase you had made, and l love your baskets and everything else. I love how you described your handsome husband picture. I love safari look, Ballard designs, and I love your outfit, and bed spread and pillows. Your room looks very cozy Linda!
I love curling up on my bed during the day to nap. I enjoy reading as well so I keep some books I want to read and put them in a basket. Thank you for sharing your and your husband’s private area, love your room. Diane.
Linda, I am kinda obsessed with you and love how you style and how unpretentious you are! Please keep us inspired and I adore your videos! Can’t wait to get your book! Teri
Thank you for sharing your bedroom decor. So warm and cozy. I am always admiring how fit and youthful you are and would welcome a video on what you eat in a day. Or daily fitness routines etc. Thanks!
Hello from Niagara Falls Canada! Firstly, the answer to your question....absolutely NO sitting on our beds. We had to make the bed (I'm going to say, professionally) and basically not hang out in our bedrooms till bedtime. Our rooms had to look tidy at all times! My parents were European and I think they realized the need to respect the things you had, so everything was given love and care. I LOVE listening to all the beautiful descriptions of the pieces you have in your room! It's great to hear someone reveal the connection of an item and the meaning it has to them...awesome! I am currently trying to downsize stuff in my house (things from my parents house) but I still love to go and look at our local Goodwill store...it's like a trip down memory lane! Love your content Linda! 👍
I’m only a few minutes into another of your interesting videos and am definitely onboard with your bedroom-basket tip instead of cluttering a nightstand! Thank you for that brilliant and simple idea! A bedroom should be soothing, in my opinion, and cluttered surfaces drive me nuts. I’m definitely on the hunt for a small wicker/straw tote, thanks to you, Linda! May I also say how much I appreciate your displaying of books and by that, I’m referring to the many decor bloggers who cover their books to match their decor colors or turn the books around so the spine colors are hidden. Covering books to match a decor seems a tad pretentious to me; books (especially old ones) have so much character. Re your question about sitting on a bed, ‘yes’, I sit on my bed but I recall hearing that rule many, many years ago when I was a preteen.
Linda, I SO much enjoy your relaxed, honest personal decorating style! In our early years of marriage life, we combined auction, garage sale, found furniture, and really liked it. Then when money was more plentiful, we custom ordered living room, dining room and bedroom furniture. After a while I realized that I preferred pieces that had character, things you just had to stumble upon, that just spoke to us. Glad you are free to decide your look, not hindered by fashion! Also, you encourage others to go that route!
Hi, from Wales 🏴 Uk. My grandmother ‘Nain’ as we say in wales, would say dont sit on your bed, there’s work to be done. Also, she had a three storey 8 bedroom home, we were not allowed up stairs once we were downstairs in the morning, we had to use the outside toilet during the day! If, and only in extreme circumstances we needed to go upstairs, to clean etc, we had to have a duster to hold the banister, and walk either side of the stairs carpet rods. Loved her so much, everything was looked after, to maintain it to its greatest condition for as long as possible. Love your videos. Much love, Bethan xx
I love and agree with your observation about gardeners and their appreciation of composition. I never have heard the trait described as such but I think you are exactly correct. We were allowed to sit on beds in our home but I was taught it was not allowed at other homes without permission first.
Your bedroom is beautiful and so welcoming. It was a NO sitting on the bed rule at my dad's parents home, and other family members. I love spending "me time" in bed on rainy or dreary days. I also love taking naps in bed with a good book.
I never sit on my bed. Once I am up and my bed is made I am in my kitchen making baked things. I loved your bedroom tour and the memories you shared. I am a collector and like to display my goodies. They speak of memories of where I was when I purchased it. I also have a collection of dried leaves from the Midwest.
Always make my bed every day - but hang out and sit on it, or read whenever and any time of the day! My daughter is a book nerd and would love a wall of books like that.
I'm enjoying a scoop of coffee ice cream and watching your video while lounging on my bed, with my kitty keeping me company. I love your bedroom and style.
Hi Linda, I so enjoyed this video. I guess I was raised like you....we were not allowed to sit on our beds! We were lucky enough to have comfortable chairs in our room so no real need to sit on the bed. My parents taught my two brothers and I how to respect a home. You didn't have to be rich to appreciate a beautiful clean home and so that is how we were raised. Unlike most parents today who allow children to jump on sofas and close doors by not using the knobs....I taught my two daughters you could still enjoy your home without abusing it. Needless to say I do not regret how I was raised and if other people live differently in their homes that is up to them! Have a great day!
Linda, I love your videos. I live vicariously through you. Love your everyday life in gardening yet I love your elegance, your charming vocabulary. You have inspired me to try my hand at gardening. Thank you foe all you do for us you’re viewers. Yes, I sit on my bed😉
Yes, I sit on my bed! And after this video, I immediately took my notes and shopped my house for some fall pieces, AND treated myself to the Terrain leaf garland on your mantel! Thank you for your inspiration Linda!
Your bench is amazing! I inherited a beautiful vintage Pendleton blanket that was a gift my Mom gave herself on her Honeymoon out West in the 40’s. Unfortunately, she has recently passed and you have inspired me to consider upholstering it on a bench like yours, too. It’s far to lovely to be tucked away in a linen closet or chest. Agree? 🍁
yes, i sit on my bed, sometimes work on my bed, watch television from my bed. it's my comfort zone so if i had your room, i would probably never leave it. as for the wicker pieces, they are so unpredictably charming in the dark green. it adds a quiet elegant touch to the room. espresso color not required :)
My sister and I weren’t allowed to sit on our beds either. We even had to roll our pillows like a sausage and tuck the bedspread over it. Flash forward, I always make my bed and never sit or lie on it except the very infrequent nap. I always allowed my son to sit on his bed and when he was little I even let him jump on it like a trampoline but he always made his bed before going to school. Now, as an adult he and his girlfriend have a very casual lifestyle and use their bed all the time. Linda, you’re so wonderful with the way you share your life stories. I truly enjoy them and find it interesting that your love of so many things like baskets and natured inspired decor parallels mine. Thank you for your inspiring words!
Oh, that library wall makes my heart happy. I may need something like that in my life. I was also raised not to sit on a made bed. I don't sit on my made bed often, but I don't make that a rule.
Love yr bedroom n book cases..those family pic are precious n I love the painting that you do yr to do list..I don't lay in my bed but if I need a nap or tire I love to snuggle in it.. My children loves their bedroom and hangs out in there very often.. Thanks for a wonderful tour as always..
Yes I sit on my bed. I watched this video while sitting on my bed. My question for you is how do you store all your jewelry pieces and earrings? I am at a loss to figure out what to do with mine. It seems like they are always laying on top of my dresser and it looks messy.
I read in bed... with my small dogs. They crowd me out of bed regularly, so I'm constantly shoving them over to get more room for me. Whose bed is this anyway? 😁😁
I grew up in a very formal household. You made your bed first thing and NEVER sat on it! We always had a chair or bench to sit on. You also never came to the dinner table in your pajamas, if you were sick you ate off a tray in your room. You never walked on the rugs in the house with your bare feet because the oils from your feet broke down the fibers. I'm almost 64 and I am not quite that rigid but I've never shaken the bed tradition. One of my children loved to get a running start and launch herself onto my bed and completely wreck it. I used to be mildly annoyed by this habit but her peals of laughter were always music to my ears so I got over myself. I enjoy your videos and I would say you're quite a good designer inside and out. Blessings to you.
Sitting on the bed was allowed when I was growing up. I am not the type of person to be in/on the bed any other time. Sometimes to take a phone call.... I am weird but I don't "make" my bed every day because I have pillows I use on the made bed that are too big for my hubs to deal with daily. I do pull the sheets & comforter up so it looks tidy. You may not be a designer/decorator but you do have exquisite taste. Something you are born with I believe. Thanks for the tour!!
I love the branches you get when your hubby goes out fishing etc. That would mean more to me than flowers from the store. Your room is so intentional and calming. Thanks for sharing.
Your bedroom is so cozy and just my style. Absolutely love the bookcases behind the bed! Being surrounded by the items we love and the treasured memorabilia adds to the pleasure of living well. I certainly appreciate the explanation of your use of “negative space”. Makes perfect sense. My southern grandmothers were sticklers regarding sitting on the bed. Of course, the bed was always made; one sat on a chair, not on the bed. However, my mother was not as strict. Fond memories as a child of sitting on her bed conversing as she dressed for a party or an evening out. As a Southern gal, I love my solid Matelasse covers and pillow shams. Of course, the shams are monogrammed!
When I’m tired I like to “take to the bed” like women did in the Victorian era. Nothing restores me like an afternoon on the bed with a handmade throw, a cat, coffee and a book. All of my beds have matelasse covers with down comforters at the foot.
I grew up in a house that didn’t have central heating. The climate was mild, but spending winters in a house that is 50 degrees at night is tough. So in the winter, my three sisters and I socialized in our beds. Every day as soon as it got cold, we get under the covers and read, chat, etc. so now, I spend most of my spare time in California’s winters, under the covers. Reading, watching TV, etc. It just feels cozy.
Yes Linda-i do sit on my bed to put on my makeup! I downsized from a large home to my apartment and I don't have a designated makeup station, so I just sit on the side of my bed! I usually do this before I make my bed so not to mess up the comforter!
So happy you showcased your wicker tables and chair. I remembered this from pt.1. My bungelow exterior house color is a match to your tables. Love the color and only praise from the neighbors. Yes, a little worried. I will keep an eye out for a nice set of wicker and get my SW green paint out. You fill me with ideas. I would have never thought to elevate a pumpkin on a little stand (which was probably used for something else). Wonderful channel.
I love your bedroom so many interesting nooks and even the color of the books add to your impeccable style. I enjoy sitting cross legged on my bed using my laptop or watching youtube on my tv. Mom didn't mind if we sat on our beds when we were kids. There really wasn't any place else to sit.
Your aesthetic is fabulous, as is that painting over the mantel! From a large family, I grew up in a big, chaotic household. I lived in my room then, and I still do at almost 70. I sit in bed in the morning with coffee and journal, and I meditate there. It feels so luxurious to wile away the morning when it's possible. Then I often take an afternoon nap in my bed. I read in bed. I watch movies and listen to music there. It doesn't cost a lot to make it feel like a retreat. And, always always make your bed when you get out of it - you'll feel special when you get back in!
I do not spend a lot of time in my bedroom. Only to sleep. My office and TV are downstairs, so I spend more time down there. I am inspired by your gardening and home and enjoy the videos you provide us on your channel. I love to thrift and am wanting to start a picture wall with frames I found at my local thrift shop. Saved money and was inspired by those who donated beautiful items! ❤️
Linda, like you, I was raised not to "wallow" on the bed. Believe it or not, that habit has stayed with me as an adult and I never lounge on my bed during the day. Some habits are hard to break, lol!
Whaaaat….Walmart? That looks like a fabulous World Bazaar kind of straw bag! 💗 I feel your need to ‘contain’ things. You’re not a control freak. Yes, I will sit, lay or crawl all over my bed…and then I’ll smooth the cover all nice again because it’s just a pleasure to get into a well-made bed. 🙃 Such a cool outfit! 😜
LOVE the bedroom walkthrough...LOVE the many books, colors, and bookshelves..LOVE the bedding and monogramed sham....AND, I would have to say that growing up, there was not a rule about sitting on the beds, however, at our Grandparents home it was much more a "formal" affair! So the answer to your question, for me, would be Yes and No...LOL...Oh, also, LOVED the covered bench!! GREAT tips!!... Super watch!
It was never a rule not to sit on the bed but I never do. I consider my bed a clean space to go to at night after a nice bath to sleep & rest my brain.
I never sit on the bed as it would crush the bed spread and the pillow shams. But if I want to rest and read off come the decorative cushions and shams and the bedspread goes to the side. Then I get great enjoyment from being very comfortable with a favourite book without having all the bed crushed and creased. No point in having a lovely bed if you are not going to make the most of it. But also your bed when you re make it has fresh new looking bedding. It works for me. Love from England.
Love your room and yes I sit on my bed. I read the mail on our bed and listen to news that’s on radio between 4:30 to 5:00. Just a daily habit. Your room gives me the safari vibe and that of a yurt. Out of Africa a fav movie of mine
I’m resting on my bed watching this video. Ha! Afternoon break or nap finds me back in my room . I also leave a quilt on the end of my bed for naps. One of the greatest perks of retirement is an afternoon nap or reading time. Thanks for sharing your pretty bedroom! Blessings! I’m a southern girl that loves monograms too!!
We always had white chenille bedspreads that if you were foolish enough to sit on the bed, you would be full of the shedding of the bedspread. I am much older than most and you may not know about chenille spreads. You are a delightful person, Linda. I enjoy whatever you produce. S
You have great taste! I as well was not allowed to sit on the bed growing up and my bed had to always be made. If I was at my grandmas house nothing was to even be set on the bed. If you were getting out clothes for the day you could not set your clothes on the bed before putting them on, nothing was allowed on the bed if it didn’t belong there. I always thought it seemed a bit rigid. I do lounge on my bed during the day when I get a chance (I have a toddler so that’s a rare occurrence). It’s comfortable, I know it breaks down the bed earlier but I bought a mattress to use and enjoy.
Yes I do lounge on my bed. My parents came from Italy 🇮🇹 with really no rules. They were absolutely fantastic and loving. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏There were 8 of us. A lot of beds 🛌
I loved this video … l think that it is my favorite so far. Growing up, l had a very different lifestyle than l do now . We had a large house with a live in housekeeper. I don’ t remember even going back to my room after l got up. But now, l love being in my bedroom and snuggling on my bed. I keep a throw on it and will just go into my room during the day to nap or to “ get some alone time” ( my husband and l are both retired). I really noted many things that you said about editing. I just inherited my mother’s home in Florida, and some of the furniture l thought that l might toss, my husband wanted to keep. We hired a friend of mine who is a designer and with her support team of good craftsmanship it is coming together nicely. I am so glad that we decided to edit and keep some of my mother’s pieces of furniture down there.
Hi Linda, Gorgeous bedroom; definitely you! My Mother also said never sit on the side of your bed because it will break down your mattress and never jump on your bed because we had springs and boards under our beds ( I am much older than you ) and of course it would not end well !!!! Love your channel and your gentle unassuming manner. Good Bless!
I had friends who were not allowed to sit on the bed spread, but you could pull it back and then sit!! Yes, we sit on our bed, I snuggle into a bunch of pillow and read. Loved the pillow sham with the awesome buttons. I’m working on crating more negative space. We have an inexpensive black metal canopy bed. I do have a mosquito net I use sometimes. Right now I have a long scarf draped over the top near the head and a string of lights. I’ll look for your reference for the air purifier. I have just been diagnosed with COPD, so I think I probably need to seriously consider. Thank you for the joy you bring!
Now that you mention it, we didn’t sit on our beds when I was growing up, but I don’t recall it being a spoken rule, it just wasn’t done. So fun to remember little things like that! Ok I’ve got to clean my room 😏
I’m in my bed constantly it calms my 2 dogs they love to lay with me when I watch tv or read in my growing up days of 5 kids we were never allowed a tv in our room.. I’m 65 if that helps with era my mom wanted us busy and not lounging around..lol.. love your style and yes I think gardeners must have a inherent 👁 eye of how things should look!! Inside and out! I’m a more visual person and have been told by many I should design.. I just can go in a room and immediately want to change it out ha! Thanks
Hi Linda, Thank you for sharing your Beautiful bedroom with us! My Wonderful Southern Granny would not allow us to sit on the bed when we would spend our Summers with her in Tennessee. However, my Mom did not discourage us from doing so at home. Now that I am married, I relax on our bed on occasion with a cozy throw and a wonderful movie playing in the background. Thank you again for sharing and inspiring. Sincerely, -Paula
I love your colorfully warm and inviting bedroom. Many items have sentimental meaning collected over the years that make it so special. Thank you Not now, not at my house, but sitting on the bed was a no no, it could soil or break the threads on the quilts. Bedspreads were taken off before getting in bed to keep them clean.
We never could sit on stark white coverlets with black and white striped bedskirts. My sister and I shared a room with twin beds. Mom was always, like you, had her own way of styling, All the other little girls had pink or lavender rooms. I was envious of that. Now I appreciate the " be your own person" kind of woman. The older I get the more I like to be ME, and I don't care what others think of me! I love your style, and all that you do.!
I have wondered, Linda, where do you store yard tools, blowers, garden soils, pots, paints, wagons or wheel barrows, items you don’t use all the time, (holiday) etc. My garage is full. I clean it twice a year, but it’s crazy full! (Of course, we keep a large riding mower & push mower on one side of the garage.) I recently went thru my holiday containers in the garage, again, trying to rid of more items I just don’t use anymore. Its organized now but it’s still full!
My dad didn’t like us to sit on the bed. I love my bedroom and like to lounge when I need some time to myself. The sliding glass door gives a beautiful view of the bedroom garden.
So, we have 2 rooms downstairs we painted gray about 5 years ago and am so ready to repaint! In another house we lived in years ago in Dallas, we painted most of our walls a taupe or some kind of "tanish" color and I understand it's coming back in style. We did love how cozy it made the rooms feel. That said, I am on the lookout for 2021-2022 colors, especially for our bedroom before winter sets in, then the other rooms next spring. I am hoping Linda will share what color is in her bedroom...does anyone? Thank you in advance...😃
Yes, we sit and lounge on everything in our home. Love your bedroom, it's so you......
I sit on the bed whenever I want. Maybe to put on socks or to pet my dog, who is chilling on it. What a warm and friendly video. Felt like a close friend in your bedroom.. going through things. I love these memories my dear
This made me so teary eyed.
Such a nice memory.
Your bedroom puts me in the mind of a Nancy Meyers movie set bedroom (think: It's Complicated, The Holiday, Something's Gotta Give). It is soooo cozy and functional. I get comfort from my bed. Naps, chatting, reading, watching UA-cam.

Nice when our things make us happy.
Sit on my bed all the time. Never heard about not sitting on a bed. Love your bedroom. Reminds me a little of mine.
That interior is the definition of 'cozy', absolutely love it! And another great outfit!

I am a hummingbird or a lizard! That is the best expression I have heard in a very very long time! Thank you for this little delight.
Linda, I like your style.
Yes, I relax on my bed. I also have a daybed in my patio enclosure. It is my favorite spot in the house.
I wasn't allowed to sit on my bed growing up-now I do, but I always smooth it out afterwards!
Teri
What a kind thing to say!
not the weird obsessed! lol
Thank you for sharing your bedroom decor. So warm and cozy. I am always admiring how fit and youthful you are and would welcome a video on what you eat in a day. Or daily fitness routines etc. Thanks!
Stay tuned for info in the new year!
LOVE listening to all the beautiful descriptions of the pieces you have in your room! It's great to hear someone reveal the connection of an item and the meaning it has to them...awesome! I am currently trying to downsize stuff in my house (things from my parents house) but I still love to go and look at our local Goodwill store...it's like a trip down memory lane! Love your content Linda! 👍
I ❤️ how you have and display all those treasures❣️
Loved the tour! You said you are not an interior designer!!! You certainly are! What a beautiful, well appointed space . Thank you for sharing.
So interesting - thanks!!!
@@mollypitcher9380 thank you 🙏🏻
I love and agree with your observation about gardeners and their appreciation of composition.
Love, love, love everything about this room-Linda, a *real* style influencer. No HDTV gray here! ❤️
I really enjoy Linda's use of color!
I loath the grey!
@@gwenewing6837 Thank you for saying it! So true!!
Beautiful picture of your mother! What a beauty!
Love your style. Goals!! As for sitting on the bed my children and I have had the best life discussions while sitting on the bed.
We had the same bed rule in my house growing up and my grandmother made sure we followed it!
Linda, I love your videos. I live vicariously through you. Love your everyday life in gardening yet I love your elegance, your charming vocabulary. You have inspired me to try my hand at gardening. Thank you foe all you do for us you’re viewers. Yes, I sit on my bed😉
I have been admiring your outfit all though your tour !! So far it's my favorite from head to toe !!
Agree? 🍁
Hello Linda , awesome video as always 🤗. You think you can make a video sharing how you store your jewelry . 💖 warms hugs from sunny Florida 🌞.
yes, i sit on my bed, sometimes work on my bed, watch television from my bed. it's my comfort zone so if i had your room, i would probably never leave it. as for the wicker pieces, they are so unpredictably charming in the dark green. it adds a quiet elegant touch to the room. espresso color not required :)
I always look forward to seeing how you repurpose things. Thank you for the beautiful video.
The bench is a show stopper. You have lovely ideas.
Hi Linda. When I was growing up......once our beds were made we stayed out of and off our beds. My mom, and now me, was a neat freak.
Yes I lounge on my bed . And when my Grand babies are over it is their favourite place to hang out to watch videos and play board games .
Yes I sit on my bed. I watched this video while sitting on my bed. My question for you is how do you store all your jewelry pieces and earrings? I am at a loss to figure out what to do with mine. It seems like they are always laying on top of my dresser and it looks messy.
Iam a new fan of yours! Iam 63, live in Louisville, Ky. I believe we have similar interests. I love your style. Thanks for all the great videos.
Welcome!
I’m sitting on my bed right now watching your UA-cam, as I usually do. Always enjoy your gardening etc - happy fall!
You are my soul sister!
Both of you guys are my soulmates…. Terrific Trio…. Totally agree 😀😀😆😀😆
HaHa, I love the Victorian era. We all need a 'fainting couch' as they had! Probably not as cozy as a blanket and a quick nap on the bed.
No, I lounge in the couch !! Beautiful bedroom ! Love the light.
Linda thanks for sharing! What I really love is when there are stories for items in a home and garden! Thanks for sharing your stories!
I’m really enjoying watching your videos.. so relaxing and I adore your eclectic style.
You have a Beautiful home. I hope we get to see the other rooms. And yes I sit on my bed.
Linda, like you, I was raised not to "wallow" on the bed. Believe it or not, that habit has stayed with me as an adult and I never lounge on my bed during the day. Some habits are hard to break, lol!
I have my coffee in my bed every morning but also make the bed after that every day. I love a made bed.
Your bedroom is gorgeous and so inviting and you have wonderful style. Ann Honsel
Yes I do lounge on my bed. My parents came from Italy 🇮🇹 with really no rules. They were absolutely fantastic and loving. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏There were 8 of us. A lot of beds 🛌
Great video Linda, I really like everything in your bed room. Thank you for the tour…..
Thank you
Not now, not at my house, but sitting on the bed was a no no, it could soil or break the threads on the quilts.
Just lovely-yes I do lounge on my bed
My dad didn’t like us to sit on the bed. I love my bedroom and like to lounge when I need some time to myself. The sliding glass door gives a beautiful view of the bedroom garden.
You have a beautiful eye for design.💕💕loved seeing your living space.💓
I spend a lot of time in my bedroom. I have a chair that I like to sit in but I also sit on my bed often.
