Hi David - Thank you for contacting AprilAire! Would you mind giving us a call 1-800-334-6011? We'd be happy to provide assistance and point you in the right direction for next steps.
Thank you for contacting Aprilaire! Because there are many different types of Google Nest devices, we are unfortunately unable to advise on this question or on how to hook them up. We do need a dry contact for our dehumidifiers to turn on via external controls. We would advise that you contact Google directly to understand whether it will be compatible or not, based on those requirements. If you have any additional questions, we'd be happy to assist.
I just bought two Aprilaire products: E100 Dehumidifier and Aprilaire 5000 air cleaner. An 8476 thermostat came with one of these two products and I don't know which one, but here is my question. How can i control the Dehumidifer from the living room. The E100 is attached to the return in the basement and then the 5000 air cleaner and the compressor. Can I wire the 8476 to the Dehumidifier to only tell me the humidity and to control it and change the settings? If yes, how? and if No, then how can I remotely control the Dehumidifier. The Nest Gen 3 thermostat I just installed does not show the humidity.
Thank you for contacting Aprilaire! Would you mind giving us a call directly to discuss this? We would be happy to help. We can be reached at 1-800-334-6011 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT.
@@aprilaireco how about indicating on youtube what the answer is to the poster's question, rather than the trite automated message you give. So.... ill ask for the OP again...Can you answer the question.... without asking someone to call your central call center. Potential customers are judging Aprilaire with your responses as to whether we will even commercially engage with you. Also when you speak and market your products with a degree of technical information(which you have in this video) and then dismiss the viewer/poster with a non answer.
Hello! Thank you for contacting Aprilaire. "Comp" on the display of the thermostat is short for "compressor" (e.g. heat pump or air conditioning compressor). The number that follows corresponds to the current stage that it is in. For example, "comp 2" means that compressor stage two is running. Let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help answer.

I have an amana variable speed with high efficiency furnace, along with an aprilaire dehumidifier. They are not wired together. If I get the 8620w, I understand it will control both, my amana and dehumidifier. Both work to control humidity separately, will this model make them work together? Will it tell them both to dehum at the same time?

I just wanted to learn how to remove the 8600 from the wall. No luck, it is not even in the manual.
