It absolutely does have a detachable battery. Open the bike up like you are folding it in half. Turn the key the opposite direction that you would turn it to turn it on, (you may have to push the key in and turn), and the battery can be slid right out. Take the battery in the house and charge the battery.

@@TechOdyssey You're welcome. If you look along the battery compartment of the bike right near where it folds in half, you will see a silver metal pin. That pin is what locks the battery into the compartment. That pin, I do believe, will be right above where your key goes in. When you turn the key and the pin retracts, that means the battery is unlocked and able to be slid out. You may have to remove the key before you can slide the battery out, or you may not. You may be able to remove the key in its turned position (battery release position), or you may have to turn the key to its neutral position (normal key removal position) and remove the key. I hope this helps, and I figured I would let you know this to maybe make it a little easier to charge the battery in the house instead of trying to find room in a garage or wherever near a receptacle to park the bike and charge the battery.

@@Flowershop4th So, that's basically when it's folded and you're measuring left to right, from the pedal side to the other pedal side, going across? I think you mentioned what the bike would be from front to back. I mean when the bike is folded, and you're looking at both tires facing you. That's the measurement I'm looking for
