Desmond Dekker was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae singer-songwriter and musician. Together with his backing group The Aces, he had one of the earliest international reggae hits with "Israelites". Other hits include "007", "It Mek" and "You Can Get It If You Really Want"

I,m 70 and was a skinhead and saw them all.Skinheads made ska,reggae famous.We weren,t racists the ska and reggae artists loved us cos we packed out their gigs.I have their autographs and talked to many.I saw the Wailers at the Rainbow in 1973 before they were big.great vid
