Dubs Banger Yeah 2000XL. I've got 8 outs I know how do this, but It's only 8 outs, I like to layer 2-3 kicks, 2-3 snares and similar with hi hats, so... I don't have space for other samples...
+Sox all the layered kicks get sent out of the same outputs. you dont have kick one going out of 1/2 and kick two going out of 3/4.. they all go out 1/2 or whatever numbers you have designated for them... same with the hi hats they all go out of one set of outputs... another way to avoid this is to record your drums in MONO... that means they will only have one output instead of stereo which has two.. keep all your drums mono and all your samples stereo... same with all your sample chops they go out one set of outputs 1/2

+Sox all three of your kicks are suppose to be on one channel. assign it to channel 1. All three of your snares are going to be assigned to the same channel 2. All your hi hats are going ot be assigned to channel 3. Your bass is going to be assigned to channel 4, your stereo sample is going to be assigned to channel 5/6. I always layer my kicks, hi hats, and sometimes snares... play with the FREQ on you rmpc set it to about 75... find another low thumpy kick and assign it to 0-25. Your drums will greatly improve... Yes for drums i have a great tip for this.. when sampling the snare make sure it goes as loud as it can without being distorted... rewind the record back and now turn up the volume and sample the drum as loud as you can before it gets distorted. Now do the same for the hi hat.... i should do a little tutorial about drums a lot of people are asking mew have a i get thick thumpy drums... Also its hard to get drums like premier as hes been doing beats for 25 plus years. I think he's the master at the drums game shit sounds so ridiculous and even his natural swing of things...
