The Jets' defense was hands down this game's mvp. Not giving the Bills a chance to run away with the game, holding them to just 16 total points, allowing only one td, forcing 4 turnovers from Josh Allen. This was a defensive masterclass, but that game winning punt return walk off touchdown was just so EPIC!

Zach Wilson deserves a lot of credit here. He came in unexpectedly against one of the top defenses and converted some big 3rd downs. His stat line was solid too. Kudos to him.

As a Jets fan who was at this game, an emotional roller coaster is an understatement. It went from pure excitement to pure agony to pure jubilation. It was a cathartic experience, and thats not something you can often say about a football game.
Bro I know the beginning of the game was terrible for me aswell. But how crazy was the crowd going wen he ran that punt back. I get goosebumps watching the play and I've watched it atleast 10 times

It wasn't a "foul for tripping" because he missed the block and fell and his leg hit someone. That's Football. Plus the Jets are kicking a fg from there regardless. Jets may not have the QB they hoped for but they had all the heart last night. Whether that was 9/11 or "for Aaron" or is just who they are.
All that matters is they saw they can play with anyone and now the game will be at least designed for Zach or the Jets trade someone from the d line and probably Zach to a team that needs defense and don't think they will be able to keep their current qb. I believe if Aaron is able to transition to qb coach then Zach could legitimately take this team anywhere. Breece, Garret, Cook, Lazard, Q brothers, Sauce and Reed and that d-line is gonna be an all time kinda defense. The Jets walking off on 9/11 after so many found themselves rooting for Gibson during hard knocks as a UDFA and saw that this wasn't a fluke, he's got that something special where he doesn't need much to do the job and I would be surprised not to see a nice return every week from him.
And seeing Hamlin definitely got me teared up. What a comeback for Hamlin with his life on the line.

I don't like seeing calls like that giving the W to anyone. Shitty ending in my book. Regardless, the Jets D?! With a little offense they can beat anyone the way they're playing! And yes, seeing Hamlin back was heartwarming to see.

I’m happy for Zach Wilson. Outside of that one boneheaded pick, he did what he needed to do and showed a lot of poise and maturity. He has an incredible talent throwing the football and I hope he finally puts it all together.
For real. He is crazy good at certain things and then makes silly mistakes to negate what he did. He is an excellent scrambler but needs to realize when to get out.

Obviously, your confidence in this sad sack was mislaid. The Jets will jettison Wilson as soon as this season is over--likely sooner. They tried to put some other journeyman QBs in during week 11 in Buffalo as Wilson is just horrible.

Dolphins fan here. I was worried about Rodgers being in our division but I didn’t want him to go out this way. I wanted us to play him. No injuries this year was the most important thing for all teams. I feel bad. 😔
Aaron Rodgers being lost for the season has to be crushing for the Jets and their fans. I was totally looking forward to him facing my Dolphins. Zach Wilson came through in a big way for his team. The Jets never stopped playing hard. They never gave up. Kudos to them.
I don’t even remember what it feels like to have veteran QB leadership. Last Jets QB to stick with us for a while was Chad Pennington and that was like 15-20 years ago :/

Besides the punt return, my favorite play of this game was Zach Wilson's pass that was intercepted by Matt Milano. Wilson made a bad pass, but he came back and put a hit on Milano which prompted MIlano to taunt him forcing a 15 yard penalty for taunting. Mad respect for Wilson for taking the hit, brushing off the taunting and leading his team to the win. Great win Jets!

Zach Wilson ended the 2023 regular season ranked last in the NFL among qualified players with a 30.6 adjusted QBR and 30th out of 32 quarterbacks with a 77.2 passer rating. Such numbers combined with the fact that it's no secret the Jets want to get rid of Wilson. The Jets management has NO ability to develop a young QB. First the Darnold disaster and now Wilson. And apparently Wilson didn't get along with Rodgers either which likely also led to his downfall.

I've been watching football my entire life. It was one of the best catches I've seen (Beckham, Antonio Freeman, David Tyree etc) in live motion watching a game. Just as incredible when you watch it in slow motion.. Im a huge Garret Wilson fan , so it's probably bias lol.. but I have a feeling that it will be talked about a lot more in the coming days..

The jets defense was over the top. And Allen driving down the field in the last minutes of the game to get the field goal to tie was epic. Seems like they just didn't have any gas in the tank to go 3 and out in overtime. The kickoff return for touchdown was crazy. A great football game.
LOL--then they followed this up by allowing Dallas to score 38 pts and then as the season progressed more "clunkers" like getting pasted by Miami 30-0. Their defense (if that's what you call it is overrated in the least)
The first NFL game I was ever at was Joe Namath and the Jets at Buffalo and I became a fan until Namath retired. Well the Jets just made me a fan again! Wow
It's amazing how things went from the energy being sucked out of the building after Rodgers went down to the Jets defense balling out, that amazing TD catch by Garrett Wilson, and the punt Return TD in OT for the win. Absolute madness.

As a lifelong jets fan this is depressing, the victory was nice, but then reality sank in. We actually have a super bowl caliber roster and I was not pessimistic about the jets for once. QB was missing, we got Rodgers, now gone for season. Sucks, but it is what it is. hopefully they can salvage some of the season and make the most of it with this type of talent. It felt like Rodgers brought a rejuvenated sense of confidence in this team, hopefully the locker room remains optimistic.
Can’t think of a better mentor for Wilson then Rodger’s though 🤷 I bet Wilson will at least improve a good amount this season
I wouldn't be too despondent, Wilson played a blinder when he came on, if he plays like that the rest of the year Rodgers might not be the number 1 QB next season.

I’m a Steelers fan but with what just happened to the jets and how the still beat this superbowl contending Bills I’ll be rooting for the jets this season with Pittsburgh. Steelers all the way first and foremost but I’m cheering for you guys.
One thing that I’ll say the back up QB has the chance of a lifetime. The Jets just Aaron Rodgers so that had immediate Super Bowl aspirations. Everything is still there it’s now falling to this back up to do what Purdy did. This is honestly perfect for the kid if he has a good season. But this team looks good.

I was so proud of Breece Hall coming back from injury in stellar style. The Jets organization and rehab did a first class job during a long process. = I am sure A.R. is in excellent hands and of course wishing for a speedy recovery. Zack Wilson needs the snaps though to help with his confidence.
