Thank you so much! I'm sure Barret would be very proud of you ;)
The final shot of the Highwind flying into the sky is nothing short of magical!
EVEN THE MOD TRAILER BRINGS MORE THAN THAT RIDICULOUS EPISODIC MOBILE FF7! Kudos for this mod... it's beyond amazing
With all those cool mods we basically got a PS2 Remake of the game :D
Great music choice for the video :) FF7 forever
This blew my mind!
When I zoomed out and climbed as high as the highwind could go - It was emotional lmao! Thanks for this man, mind blowing!
Looks fantastic, exactly like the remake I've always dreamed of! Kudos! 👍👍
This looks gorgeous, GREAT WORK!!
I discovered your mod via Final Fan TV and I absolutely love it! This might be the best mod for FF7 yet. I've seen this game being modded by others for a long time, but THIS ONE actually made buy the game for my steam deck and install 7th heaven, to see and play for myself.
True remake. This looks so good. Can't wait to use it
Wow this looks incredible and very well made trailer too! 🤩
This might be the coolest mod I've ever seen!
impressive ! So much a good work... thanks !!
This literally almost made me cry man. Good job.
Huge kudos!
7th Heaven and all it's contributors have given us the remake we wanted this whole time. Thank you all for everything.
This is the one dude, Amazing!
Man I understand why SquareEnix went in a new direction with the FF7 remake but as a old fan of the game this is what I wanted as a remake! Just the old game with HD graphics!
So you wanted a remaster not a remake
@@danielknight2535 everyone is going to bash a remkae no matter what. I haven't seen one remake out there that doesnt get bashed.
@@tangiblemammal5273 Dead Space.
@@danielknight2535 Tell me you don't understand the difference between a remake and a remaster without saying you don't know lmfao
Amazing ❤
Nice work
Very nice job❤❤❤❤
Love this mod as it really breathes life into the overworld but as others have stated, for some reason it's causing the overworld to run slowly? In my case it's not even frame drops, as the 7th Heaven FPS counter says I'm hovering around 30FPS (although I do have the 60FPS mod enabled but 30 is still fine for me) but moving around the world map takes forever for some reason, like my character is running slower than the game. My game isn't nearly as smooth and quick as this video and my PC isn't that old and should be able to run it fine. Maybe I'm completely overlooking something, but I've tried troubleshooting it and can't seem to figure out the problem. If you have any free time to respond with any ideas that might fix it that would be greatly appreciated!
This looks so good.
Incredible! Thank you so much for this! That world map draw distance was one of the last remaining issues that needed to be remastered.
IMO at this point all that is needed is a good looking and consistant NPC model overhaul and the modded 'remaster' of FF7 is essentially complete :)
Question: Is there an option to invert the analog camera?
Ninostyle chibi character sets also includes all NPCs and IMO it is quite good looking and consistent.
There already is an option to invert the camera controls but it has no yet been added to 7thHeaven UI. Instead, go to you game install directory, open the FFNx.toml config file in a text editor and change the "enable_inverted_vertical_camera_controls" option to true.
Yes, get Nonostyle chibi mod, it is very good. I think the true icing on the cake will be Cosmos' FMV Mod II when it's released. The game will be truly perfect, then, me thinks. ❤
This trailer is just so stupidly good.
The music my God
analog movement?! even outside of the world map?!
EDIT #2: ok its a weird mixture. when i press a direction near the cardinal directions, it snaps to the main cardinal direction. and as i try to slowly adjust to another direction, it will then snap to the correct spot, and slowly curve with my analogue presses. it also still changes which direction "up" goes, just like the original (sadly) so certain camera angles will still feel like pseudo tank controls. (this has been an issue for some ppl who refuse to play)
the last minor adjustment to make now is spell name adjustment mode thats compatible with echo-s.
EDIT: #3: world map lags me out like MAD. Im at like 2-10 FPS, and it takes forever to get around... (I didnt even want the world map edits lol, just the analog controls! ;_; )
Pretty fun way to go back to the original, but nothing will top the love and effort of the Remake
I also love Remake but I enjoy both in different ways.
@@cosmos_mods This. I love that the remake is a bit different with it's story. Now after Rebirth, I'm coming back to experience the original again looking new!
❤❤❤
Spectacular! I'm probably pretty alone when I say this: As much as I like the FF7 remake, the original felt like a much more magical adventure because you were free to move around the big map, and you felt small in a big world. This mystery and the joy of discovery is no longer in the new version. For me the old game is 10/10, the Remake is 9/10.
How do you compare a uncompleted game to one that is completed? You can only compare remake to midgar in original ff7 midgar section. Now if you want to compare rebirth to the first disc of the original....that would make sense
Square only released part of the game, not the whole game. And we won't even get the whole game in the next one. So, of course, I'm comparing it to what you can get at the moment. The third part will come sometime.
I don't remember being that free to move around in even in Midgar.
I also completely modded my Final Fantasy VII. The characters even talk. Unfortunately only English and no more German texts 😕The game is now over 50gb in size 😂But I love it 😍I come from Germany😊
I feel like at a certain height you'd be able to see another version of the highwind over the horizon 😂
Modders giving us the FF7 we fans wanted all along.
A true remake
Remake is way better.
@@bend.7590 there is no remake. it´s a reboot
@@DanielCortes-pu5bd That’s what a remake is ya dip
@@bend.7590 a remake does not change the story.
Looks excellent! How hard is it for a game company to build games like these again? We don't need hyper realistic games: graphics like in this mod are enough! We want a good story, some exploration, good music...
Thank you! Any chance for a light version? I have some lag.
Maybe we can optimize it in future versions but can't make too much promises.
@@cosmos_mods thank you for the answer and again, thank you for this amazing mod.
I’ve got this mod on my Steam Deck, but the camera controls won’t work no matter what I do. Any suggestions on how to get the camera controls working?
Legend (:.:)7
What World Map texture mod are you using? It looks really nice!
The textures are the SYW upscales, which are included with the Cosmos Gaia mod so you don’t need to download separately (also having the advanced lighting enabled helps to make it look good)
How do you rotate the camera? mine is stuck
I love it some much I’m playing the game again. This is so perfect it brings tears to my eyes. I will be donating to the patron if anyone has the info please
Thanks but I don't accept donations. Instead I would prefer people re-directing that good will to some charity. Since FF7 is about saving the planet I put a link to a list of environment charities in the video description.
So was the FF7 worldmap always a big sphere and you just let us zoom the camera out more? Or did you mod the actual worldmap into a sphere somehow?
I'd also be interested in this, any insights for this, @cosmos_mods? How was the world map technically implemented in the original, and what changed here?
The original has some vertex transformation to make it look slightly curved but it's not really a sphere. For Gaia the original vertex transformation is disabled and instead I implemented my own version in the vertex shader. That said, it's not really a sphere but more like an illusion that makes a plane-like work look spherical. I would recommend this video for more details:
ua-cam.com/video/joFWr3JzBOI/v-deo.html
I'm having an issue where I get extremely shiny surfaces from the enhanced lighting, otherwise it looks great.
hay i really love the look of this mod, but when i try moving the camera it does not work (on pc)
controller only, unless u are trying controller, then idk.
@@eivarden I was not using controller I will now
I know is PC Only, but if after modding the original game, can it then be ported to another platform that will run Steam(Linux) ? Thanks and great JOB!
I'm not too sure but I think you can already make it work in Linux (and Steam Deck).
For Linux this is script that is used to make it work currently:
github.com/dotaxis/7thDeck/tree/linux
It seems that they are also working to make it easier but I don't know the details. If you are interested I would suggest joining the Qhimm Discord and take a look at the #ff7-linux channel there.
Mod is not working for me. I have the folders but no files are populating inside of "mesh" and "widescreen" as the troubleshooter states. I have a few mods like 30fps and the ChaOS models along with the new Cosmos Limit Break. any help would be much appreciated
7thHeaven does not really copy the files into those folders but makes symbolic links that make the game think it contains the data in those folders. Other than setting the folders to watch in General Settings you need to update to latest FFNx version. You can check for updates also in the General Settings.
@@cosmos_mods I thought I updated ffnx but I didn't, that did the trick. What a sweet mod.
Help! I updated 7th Heaven and a few mods just the other day and a bug came up only when I turn on this mod -- I can't open the Menu when outside the buggy (I remember it was the other way around - I have to get out of the Buggy just to be able to access the Menu). Now the Buggy broke down and I can't save in the world map. 😭
I fixed that the other day. Please update FFNx to latest canary.
@@cosmos_mods Thank you so much! 🤩 Will be donating at the end of this month.
Just curious though, do you think it'll be eventually possible to add normal/height maps to the textures?
I just dabbled in modding the 1st Harry Potter game on PC and being able to add such effects to flat textures was really nice to look at.
@@rendelldraw Normal maps are supported but no mods use it yet. I may do something about this in the future.
@_mods Hello again, I've been trying to figure out the missing yellow "view cone" on the world map. I thought that it might have something to do with the Finishing Touch ESUI mod and it turns out that it only appears when you rotate the camera using the shoulder buttons (R1/L1 - RB/LB) but it doesn't work with this mod on.
The view cone is really a great help in helping me get my bearing in the world map. PS: I was only able to donate $5. As soon as I'm done paying my loans, I'll probably be able to squeeze out more on my next donation.
now this is a remake
Mod was working great until the recent update. I think it's automatically turning on advanced lighting now and i'm getting massive slow down in all areas of the game.
How can i use This?
You need a copy of the game from Steam and install 7thHeaven mod manager. Here is a guide about everything you need to know:

@@cosmos_mods Its only on PC? I Wonder If its possíble tô recreate remake graphics
@@cosmos_mods it´s no possible on psx version? i wonder if it would be possible to recreate ramke graphics on original
Sorry, PC only.
I’ll take the Remake 10x over.
This isn’t towards the creator of this video , this shit is dope as fuck BUT you guys are so unserious.
Cool story bro; enjoy your much shittier 'story'. Weird you're over here taking a piss when you can be circle jerking 'BUT THE GRAPHICS ARE BETTER' with the rest of the 20 year olds who wouldn't know a good game if it danced in their face.
