1:02 Take 2: Using a more melodic approach, less risky
Hi everybody! Hope you are doing well! This week, I included 2 takes, one which is more intense and where take more risks (and end up messing up) and another in which I play more safely with a more melodic approach. This is a really interesting concept we have to be conscious of when we improvise. If you take too much risk you will probably make mistakes, but if you play too safe, your solo might sound boring or uninteresting.
Which one did you prefer?

Je préfère l’improvisation #2. La première est plus impressionnante car ton jeu est plus rapide. La 2 ieme est plus mélodique mais pas moins impressionnante. Un professeur m’expliquais que faire un solo est comme raconter une histoire. Écouter quelqu’un raconter une histoire à pleine vitesse peut-être vide de sens car il nous manque des informations. Par contre, une personne qui raconte une histoire en s’appuyant sur certains mots est beaucoup plus intéressante à écouter. Merci encore Gabriel. Merci de nous partager ton talent. 😉

I'm considering a PRS.. Whats your opinion of the most versatile for rock, jazz fusion of the hollow or semi hollows you play? Will the hollowbody fit both or to feedback. Have you tried the semi hollow Vella s2 if so what's your thought if you only had room for one guitar? A little help please.. thank you
Hi! I've never tried the Vella s2, but I have an SE Hollowbody II and it works very well even with distortion in a live situation. It is a really nice guitar and I think it would be a good fit for rock/fusion sounds!
