Thank you!
Not all heroes wear capes!
Thanks I hate it when they do so much filler
Thanks a million! Way too much chatter!!
I have been detailing for a year. Started using the Ceramic wax. On my own cars. Wash the car, Spray Ceramic Hybird wax on a Microfiber sponge then rub it back and forth and side to side to make sure wax covers evenly. Jit with water to active then use a Microfiber towel to dry to a shine! This wax last a long time. But every two weeks I water down my car and apply again to keep it working it's best. The price has gone up to over $15.00. But a little goes along way. So spray a Microfiber sponge and apply. Because of the wind using it outside. It Works! Shawn
I have used this Meguiars product several times on my black Jeep. It works great. I think the more you use it, the better it works. Every time I wash, I dry using this. And they are right about not applying too much. A little goes along way.
You dry using this
@@edubb2491 yes.
Wash, leave car wet, spray, then dry
So using nearly an entire bottle on my Durango was a mistake? 😅
lol same here. 1 bottle wasn't even enough. I didn't even do the roof. And btw the product do jackshit. water beading is exactly the same as before. Water sits on my hood while i drive 60mph down the road. wtf???
Did you use it once or after every time you wash your vehicle? I feel like I go go through the entire bottle in a month since I tend to wash my truck once or twice a week.
I bought one bottle last year, and I still have a half bottle left. I use the spray twice a week. A little bit goes a long way. And my truck never looks so good.
@@CSOCSO Didn’t you just watch the video? If you use too much the product works in reverse. Holding water on the paint like when your driving 60 and the water doesn’t come off. Lmao
I was astounded at the shine this put on my already waxed and well taken care of 2016 Ram 1500. This ain't hype. I can't say how long it lasts because I wash my truck once a week and since this is so easy to apply, I spray it on every other wash. I have a Challenger TA with matt paint on the hood roof and trunk lid. I'd love to know if it would work on that finish without putting a shine on the matt paint. Anyone know if it's safe for that type of paint?
Just picked up a bottle myself. Been wanting to try it out. Also if you read on the back of the bottle it even says a little goes a long way haha. I'm already familiar with spray wax on a wet car. I've been using turtle waxes Wet and Dry for a long time now figured I've give Megs a try.
Just tell me how to use it!!
O.k! I bought this product 1 month a Go. I am 58 years old. I don't want to take all day washing and waxing like I did in the 80's.This product does exactly what it says it does. Buy some extreme Turtle wax car wash. Wash your car top to bottom.
Hose off! Leave water on the car. Don't try and use Ceramic wax in direct sun light. While car is wet. Shake the blue bottle real good. Buy a micro fiber sponge at Wal-Mart for $1.97 and the Megiuars Ceramic wax for $14.00. You may think that's high until you can get 4 cars done with this blue bottle. While the car is wet! Spray the Ceramic wax on the sponge. Do one area of the car at a time. Back and forth, side to side. The wax goes on real easy and you don't need a lot. When done putting wax on the car. Blast it with a lot of water. This engages the wax. The water is the secret to the wax. Then wipe dry. I put this wax also my chrome rims. They are still shiney a month later. My car looks great. Still after a month. I have recharged the wax one other time on each of my cars. But it really didn't need it. My co- workers asked me who did the detailed job on my 14 and 15 year old cars. I said I did it for $16.00. They called me a liar. If you follow what I just told you. You will never spend time polishing your car again. Shawn
@@shawnbeck2303 The bottle says apply it the first time when the car is dry.
@@hogfarmersforjustice4804 o.k. Man! Do it the way you want. I am telling you this is how I did to my own cars! It worked great. I would think a hog farmer would take someone's advice.if it worked. I really don't care how you do it. Hell why even buy it! Why even be on this site. Just to bitch I guess. Shawn
@@shawnbeck2303 I took the advice of the manufacturer. Very eccentric, eh?
@@hogfarmersforjustice4804 Well. Mister Hog farmer. I am just a average guy with a detailing business that uses these products. I think I have a really good idea how this product works. The business people will tell you any thing. I usually try it if it works. I keep using it. If not I move on. Just like people who buy fishing lures. The lure usually catches more fishermen than fish. But you just keep on doing what you do. The world needs alot more Geniuses. Shawn
Well, you just answered my questions on how much to use.... 8-10 cars per bottle. 4 sprays for the hood... Wow, I was definitely over-using it. I can tell you it is SLICK afterwards. I had the worst time getting the cover on my CTS-V. It kept sliding all over. Now that I just clayed and polished it finally, it's ready again for the Hybrid Ceramic wax.
As a 30+ years user of Meguiars products, I always look forward to the new products that come out. I wasn't initially a fan of this one. After a few experiments, I'm starting to change my mind. Start with a clean vehicle. Mist on MHCW, wipe down with a small microfiber cloth that is damp. Rinse right away. Mist again, then hit with the pressure washer to spread out. Dry the vehicle & enjoy an awesome wet look when it's totally dry!
MHCW?
@@edubb2491 meguiars hybrid ceramic wax
From what I understand during your main initial “coating” you wash the vehicle, rinse, spray the product and wipe down. After that initial coating you can just spray the product on your clean and rinsed vehicle and rinse again then just dry the vehicle. How long before applying the product just like you did the first time? A couple months maybe?
@@peteross4879 After winter, I do a good paint clean, apply and wipe down. I then apply it about once a month through the summer. Wash the vehicle, mist it, blast it with the pressure washer to spread it out, wipe it down and enjoy the look.
@@bobbymy3vettes415 safe for wheels also? Also when applying the initial coat spray wipe dry micro when wet. But am I also re rinsing and applying the spray again rinse with pressure washer? I know I’m late to the party lol
Great information, explained very well thank you 👍👍👍
Great video guys! Nice and straight forward I have liked and subscribed!!!
I've used it since it came out. Followed directions for the first application and the subsequent application was a piece of cake. It really, really works and it's only $15 / bottle. Great job Meguiar's!
Here in Kiwi land they are charging $54.95 NZ dollars for it . Great product but here we pay crazy prices for everything, example $9.50 NZD a US gallon of gas,
Only $15? That a fair price
Totally agree
my car is outside at work and at home, usually gets washed once a week, how often do you recommend, every time i wash, fortnightly or once a month?
Does it work on a fresh paint job? I refinish vehicles for a living. I waited one month after my clearcoat finished gasing out.
I’m using it and it’s great! I totally agree with not over using it. If you do you’ll be buffing forever.
First time. I used a ton and didn’t buff at all. It’s pretty shiny. No doubt it will get shinier when it’s rained on. I find it very strange that people care more about the shine than about whether it provides good long-term protection against rusting.
Hey, can I use it on the windshield to get better waterbeading and better view or will it create a haze? Love the product
This is the easiest spray on wax i’ve ever used! I love it, always use it to seal the deal after a wash.
Good review .....not tried it yet on my mustang......but am looking forward to it!
Thank you! Great info
Awesome, thanks for info!
It does last noticeably longer if you apply it dry but it does take more work to wipe off. I get about 3 months with 2 coats as they state but about 4 months with one layer applied dry. I'm use to QP ON 2.0 which is basically the same to install as the mequires directions but lasts a little longer but sheets a little less. We need more sheeting products on the market, jalps keep the panels cleaner and speeds up drying time significantly when you flood the panels and you could dry a vehicle with a 16x12 standard microfiber.
Good info guys, great product!
The Car I purchased in April this year has a Ceramic coated finish. Apart from washing with Meguairs Gold class wash can I now use Hybrid Ceramic wax as a maintenance polish. ?
Tony.
Does it have to be reapplied in every wash? Like QuickWax
Can I use it on plastics and rubber? I assume there's no discoloration when doing this...
In addition to water beading, does this protect paint, deepen color, and add shine?
I used the whole bottle on two treatments for my car lol, I drained it in this stuff and the car was shining like hell. Felt like it was unneccesary to just add a few sprays
I like watching videos like this before buying the product. I am using another brand at the moment and still have some left. But I may try this one later. I am curious, though, how this product compares to the Mothers brand with similar products? I saw another video of you showcasing Mother’s and had a Mother’s rep with you.
Question: for a follow up wash would I just spray the car down with water? Btw I love this product!
I’m glad I found this video, I’ve must’ve watched 15 before finding this one, finally have the correct way to apply this product to my brand new car. I’m trying to protect the brand new paint on the car and add to the already existing shine. I’m excited to see the results.
I used this on dry paint for the first time. Only 4 sprays over a full van side and its worked very well.
I haven't tried it yet, but, what if it gets on the glass and plastic parts? I know it will mist onto the windshield. Is it a good glass polish? Do I try hard to avoid it? What about the trim, tail lights, etc?
These guys are so good on talking a lot and saying nothing.
Amen! A demonstration would have been better.
I disagree. There's plenty of demos out there. I found it refreshing to hear about how it actually works and the surfactants etc. Also hearing about a higher pressure for the rinse being beneficial (which correlates to my own findings) as it forces the surfactants out. None of the other demos explain this, and only by knowing how the product works can you truly know how best to use it
@@mikepembo8297 absolutely agree. I just used a quarter of a bottle on one car. Way too much and it left the surface hazy. Now I know why, how to fix it and how to use it in the future.
I really appreciate a representative on YT to explain how to use. Bought the product today and I didn’t use it right. I used too much, and rinsing didn’t make sense to me. So next time I use it I’ll do better.
A very interesting product--may purchase some. Thanks for the explanation of what it is and how to use it.
I have used the Meguiar hybrid ceramic wax for 1 year. Today I washed and sprayed on my 2014 black corvette and rinsed under the shade. I towel dried and it left big brown spots and they look like big water spots all over the car. It took 3/5 effort to rub them off. Scared me at first. There seemed to be some chemical reaction between the new spray and the underlying paint with previous coat of Meguiar hybrid wax.
What are they?
I have never sprayed and rinsed, I always spray and buff with towels before.
Would it be advisable to spray this product on just before I take suv through the touchless tunnel wash...I live up north where it’s 20degrees
I just clayed my 26 year old boat and put this product on. The results were fantastic. PS I heard about this on the youtube channel , project farm
Can you use it on glass??
Is it okay to always use this as a wipe on/wipe off product, i.e., not just the first time?
I like the honesty and quality of this company
I just phoned then and was told that this product nor any their waxes protect against rust, which is not true. My testing has proved (surprise) that their wax does indeed protect against rust. Any car wax does. So as far as being honest, they have demonstrated to me that they are not.
@@lynndonovan2711 they probably just don’t want to make any claims that they can’t 100% back up. Megiuars overall is an amazing budget detailers friend
@@lynndonovan2711 you’re complaining that they aren’t making claims for a product that isn’t specifically designed to do something?....
That’s makes them an incredibly honest company for not potentially leading you to believe the product does more than it’s built for. Good business.
is it safe to use on clear plastics like headlight and vinyl panels?
I'd done it wrong. I did the 2nd application first instead of the foundation application. Can I still do the foundation application?
Question, I have a brand new car, so I can wash it, rinse it off, spray a little on wet surface and wipe dry, and that’ll be my foundation layer. Or because it’s waxed already I can do the wash rinse off, mist and rinse off then dry.
Damn, I wish I watched this video before! I washed my car today and I definitely over used it like most others 😂 i hope people see this video before applying!!
I just applied it onto my car, followed each single step you mentioned, I got a mix of descent shine plus a wheels and circles of the product, don’t know, should I wash my car to remove the layer or what should I do?
Easier said than done.
I've had good luck with rinsing the car off a second time after applying the initial layer (which was done while drying.)
Amen on the overuse! But, if you do, you’ll have to use some elbow grease and man does it shine afterward. But yes, so much easier with less. Even with a pressure washer (on moderate pressure) it’s still hard to remove a the film if you use too much. But all in all, a great product. Thx, men.
so do i polish my car first if it needs it then add this as final step?
Yes. You should always wash, decontaminate, clay, and at least a one step cleaner/polish exfoliation then a final IP/panel prep wipe before applying a base protection to get the best bond, performance and durability. 👍👌✌
Mix it with water 10:1 and use as a lovely quick detailer!
eWreckd'd i like to mix it with quick detailer
Thank you for the video guys ...
Our pleasure!
This stuff is legit
Hi, i have washed the car then after dry i applied the Meguiars ultimate compound and then i applied the meguiars ultimate polish. Now my question is.. Can i applied this ceramic wax spray over this polish as a protection?
If yes then the procedure will remain same as in your video?
just did this and wow...im a total believer.
You say, wash first and then hcw base layer on it and then the maintenance layer. Is it then not necessary to decontaminate the car after washing, to remove the contamination before applying HCW or is this not really necessary?
Questions:(1) does it transfer to the windshield and cause issues there? (2) how does affect clear coat paints?(3) cars usually get dirty within a week of waxing and need to be washed.....does this last through a few car washings or do you need to reapply each car wash?
I definitely over used this stuff the first time I applied, lol then I spent two hours trying to buff it away... lol then I rinsed it and did it right and OH MY GOD! it was perfect
same here man, learned the hard way lol
Same here lol 😂👎
HAHA me too. Used 3/4 bottle. I did dry method then wet method tho. But I went crazy on both 😂😂
I did same thing, applied way too much and I even let it sit on the car for a while like you would do with old school paste wax! Was a mission to buff off. Rewashed the car without soap and it’s awesome! Drove in the rain next Day was like going through a car wash! Beading was insane and car looks so clean and shiny even after a heavy rainstorm. A little bit really goes a long way. My Honda Pilot is a big SUV and I can’t believe how little product is needed.
The second method feels wasteful. Is doing the foundation method only too much?
Does this product protect again UV rays like car wax? Thanks.
Ok, I clay barred my Durango as it needed it badly. Then I rinsed it off and applied the Ceramic spray to put down the initial coating. I dried it and wet it down again to apply the ceramic again and then rinsed it off. I felt like the spray didn't cover all of the surface. I was afraid I'd use too much. I will say the Durango looks much better, but it is hard for me to see how this protects the paint. Yes, I'm an "old school" wax guy. but we'll see how well it holds up before I use it on my Vette. Can I use a detail spray later on or will it interfere with the ceramic wax?
One may never know 🤷🏼♂️😔
I think the directions on the bottle confused me. I rinsed the vehicle, then I sprayed the product on, then rinsed off. Lastly, I dried it. Does that work?
if i clay bar 1st should i pur a foundation layer 1st
In my opinion the first application was like waxing the car. Took a while to get it right. Lots of buffing to get rid of streaks. Looking forward to trying the rinse method
I washed my car thoroughly, then sprayed the still wet car with Hybrid Ceramic spray and spread it evenly with a microfiber towel. Then I buffed out the residue with another microfiber towel and there were no streaks, just clean and glossy paint.
how long it can survive in extreme weather?
Is this appropriate to apply to all of the exterior of the car? Meaning the paint and windows... trim?
We use on the windows and it works!
Is it necessary to put spray polish on to or no
Instructions on the bottle are totally inadequate !
The instructions on the bottle says the first time to spray the dry car with the product and wipe off. No water necessary. Wrong. It will dry within a few minutes and then you have a problem. Do a panel at at time.
Can this measure be used on matt and glossy car films?
Interesting I just washed and waxed my Mini Cooper and followed the directions on the bottle BEFORE watching this. Totally different directions than the video .
Very glossy and hydrophobic product. Easy to use. Only downside is that it breaks down very quickly when exposed to traffic film and road salt. The lower 25% of doors will lose hydrophobic effect within a few days to 1-2 weeks in winter months in the northeast.
Which North East ? UK or USA?
@@mikepembo8297 USA a lot of snow and road salt in the winter
Some say this can be used on glass but I have found it streaked terribly. Any suggestions?
Can you use this on aftermarket wheels. Gloss black
Ok. Are water spots still an issue with this product?
Took 7 minutes just to get to the instructions just get on with it 7:44
I love comments like this.
Can you put this product on your windows and windshield?
Do i need to wax the car first before doing the foundation coating?
Great video guys appreciate the honesty and the carefully explained instructions how to use it. 👍🏼
1. Wash your car 2. While its wet take a micro sponge from Wal-Mart it's $2.00. Spray sponge. 3. Work sponge back and forth side to side over whole car. Spray car with water all over. 4. Dry off. You can put it on your window's too. Spray tires with Coverall spray from O'REILLY's. Your done will last for a least 3 month's. To boost the wax. Wash car. Then Reply the wax and hit with water and dry again. Repeat when you feel the beading is not up to snuff. The shine is awesome! That's it! Shawn
I followed Shawn's advice and got spectacular results. He's obviously someone that knows what he's doing. Even though my vehicle is fairly new, the results were amazing! Used chemical guy's Black Light car wash soap on my black truck then left it wet using Shawn's method to apply the Hybrid Ceramic Wash, dried with microfiber towels and WOW. Tom
what happens if you wash the car then dry the car then put on the wax what happens
So you need a power wash to use this product ?
Thanks for actual info on product and how it works. There are still customers with good cerebral functions and appreciates information

Thanks for the demo do i have to avoid the windscreen and will it make it smeary
I'm wondering this too. Commented to see reply.
@@vipercrazy You can use it on any glass surface, so long as you rinse it well enough
It won't hurt it much but it does cause additional wiper 'white streaking'. Better off following up with some rainX on the windows
On my way to buy some right now! 😀👍
I just bought this stuff today. Just wondering if there's any precautions I should follow for applying it to a car with vinyl stripes. Is it safe to apply it to the whole car or do I need to work around the stripes?
Go nuts! It is safe on, and will protect, every exterior surface of your vehicle. Paint, glass, plastics, etc. Don't forget the wheels! 👍👌✌
and how long it lasts?
I dry with old cotton bath towels that are too frayed for the bathroom. lol They work fine.

I used the whole bottle 🤣
LMAO ME! :'(.. i used half bottle
I used quarter bottle. I learnt from my mistakes so next time I will do it better.
light haze over half the car, then it was sooo hard to remove after letting it sit a few min. ugh
Has been use on wrap?
So, if I have this spray, I don't need the liquid wax?
Great stuff!
Glad you think so!
Has lasted a long time for me I've been really impressed by it.
Plague Plague would you recommend using a detailing spray after applying this, or use this, dry, and that’s it?
Prince robot no detail spray needed after this stuff is the buisness! Wash the car good and dry......spray on the coating and pressure spray off and dry that easy.....if car is faded wash car and dry.....then apply and wipe off the ceramic spray....then repeat and this time wash off spray ceramic coat instead of wiping it in like first time....that was building you a base coat it's in the instructions on back of bottle.....read the bottom below it says to skip step 4 first time around
Love pretty much of Meguiars products. BUT, I tried this , followed the video's and instructions to the 'T'. Streaking all over my hood of my perfect BMW 650i. I tried to rinse and still streak marks. i only applied 3 spays to 1/2 hood while car was wet and wiped with a towel, STREAKS! Ugh.
Can i apply it on carbon parts ?
Excellent explanation of the product and how to apply.
Can you put the second coat on by putting a little in a bottle on your power house line and was it 9n

Meguiar’s is one of the major corporate sponsors for Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA. They may sponsor other Carlisle events but definitely Ford Nationals. They have a trailer and even have a bucket cut around the edges to make it easy for pets to drink from. They think of more than just showing and selling. They have a demo stand set up to show hands on how to use their products, buffer, polishes, sealants, wax etc....
Stephen Cannon I also like Meguiar’s because they really take care of their customers. I love that their product reps are in forums and on UA-cam helping educate end users on how to get the most out of their products. I never feel like I’m getting a sales pitch to buy 5 more products like I do with most other detailing product companies.
I use Fast Finish. Why should I use this? How long does it last?
I would use it! Easy on easy office a microfiber sponge then hit with water. Then a microfiber towel to dry. Try it on your chrome wheels. Just buff dry at the end. Then Coverall your tires. $9.45 at O' Rileys. This is the best wax to come down the pike in a long time. They will improve the months it will last
Maybe up to a year.
How will this product affect black plastic trim , glass headlights? Can it be used on factory alloy wheels?
I don't want water beading. My question is Does it provides gloss or not.? I already have Meg ultimate paste wax do I need ceramic wax too.? Will it do any different than ultimate paste wax
It is much much better.
Waande Awam I personally use it as a coat.Stack it on top of meg ultimate as it will help main the wax longer. Plus is I noticed it helped brighten my old wax that was already 2 months old.
So is this meant to completely replace a traditional wax or sealant that you would apply and buff off? Or is it more of a “booster” product for extra shine and beading on top of an existing LSP?
Actually you can do both but yes it is to be a LSP but can be used to top coatings and sealants
Can I use this on painted wheels and on windshield?
Absolutely. All exterior surfaces are safe to apply on and will be protected. It is perfect for keeping wheels protected and quick and easy to clean.. 👌👍✌
