- Jarrod and I traveled from Denver, Co to Bentonville, Arkansas for the Bentonville Bike Festival. This festival is one of our favorites and we were excited to meet our Kenda Bicycle Fam and of course our bestie Heather Munive. We road 80 plus miles in the scorching heat, raced our bikes and battled some EXTREME weather.

I am glad you made it out to NWA. Glad you made it out of NWA as well. Waking up Sunday AM to all of the devastation to our lovely town was heartbreaking. What is awesome to see is how our community has come together to help each other out. Some 200 volunteers the other day cleaned up the castle area to get it back up and riding. So sad to see how Coler was affected. Come back again and it will be back to normal with great trails. I actually got to meet Heather at the Hands Up tent. Keep putting out great videos for us. Take care.
We had one of the best weekends! Very unfortunate night for the area. I did feel terrible the next day, going back and watching the footage of us giggling as the tornado hit. But, I do not think we understood the damage that was occurring at the time. 200 volunteers is a lot but I am honestly not surprised! What an amazing community!!! We will plan a trip in a few months!!!!
Glad y'all had a good time! I helped clean up at Bike Fest after the tornado and at several homes over the last week.
Glad you guys are OK! That sidewalk jump line is the best! Right outside my neighborhood. Bentonville is awesome. Can’t wait to see the woodwork created from all the fallen trees from those twisters!

What a rad place to live!
Had plans to make the festival, was a bit hesitant due to the weather forecast, first couple of days seemed solid - Planned on being there Thursday through Monday - Bailed on things - We had a tornado warning from that same system once it arrived here, all hell broke loose, sirens blaring, massive rain and wind, uber sketchy but we are used to the volatile Spring season for sure - Cold fronts pushing warm, a recipe for destruction more often than not... \m/

Yes it is! But, I’d save the trip for like a spring/fall! Our riding is too good! Might as well wait for the in between seasons!
We went biking on what trails we could on Sunday and Monday. Castle was a mess but Uwabami was ridable and Wildfire was perfect once we cleaned up downed branches as we went. Tried to clear Dragon Scales but gave up when we went around a corner and saw a tangle of downed trees. Sorry we didnt get to group ride with MTB Alan and Heather on Sunday :(

We decided to cancel our reservation for two weeks out, really bummed, but want to let the locals get cleaned up without being in the way. Looks like we are heading to Park City as a backup plan. Trails look super fun.
